Hello everyone! We're not back yet, it may take a while. This blog got way more popular with way more requests than any of us could've ever imagined! It's amazing, but... overwhelming.

We refuse to abandon this blog, but lately we've had serious BAH block. If we had someone to help lighten the load, it would be immensely helpful. However, this blog feels very personal to us, and we're scared to put it in the hands of others even if we're there to monitor them.

Hi! Honest question —

Is this a endo/DID thing? How does all of this ‘make an alter’ and stuff work? I’m a little lost but would love some understanding!

Howdy! First of all, we want to state that we're not experts on willomancy, however we will give our best shot an an explanation!

This is for anyone who wants to make a headmate, anyone traumaendo, endo, DID, OSDD, non-disordered, etc.!

Sometimes, people want to make a headmate. This can be for many reasons, such as:

Fighting loneliness

Helping with self care

Adding protectors to a system

Needing a specific kind of recovery that current alters can't give

Giving a fictive a personality outside of source

Making fictives so you can talk to your favourite fictional characters sans ai

Just trying new things

And many more!

BAH blogs like ours can also help flesh out a fragment. For example, I had an alter I knew had vague fish and tech vibes. I couldn't put my finger on what it could possibly be. So I made Sturgxxn's alter pack to flesh it out, and after a bit of focus, glub became real!

Usually, to form an alter based on a pack, we focus on the pack itself for a while and let it stew in the back of our mind until it forms a being.

(We have a hard time visualizing our headspace so we can't form the alters themselves by thinking about them, this can be done differently for other people)

A lot of times, it feels as if we're forming the alters we make and sending them off to different systems!

(Which is why it can be so exhausting for us)

It's our belief that being plural doesn't always have to be doom and gloom. You can be whimsical, you can be happy, you can just... make guys for fun.

Though we try to make alter packs realistic instead of making everybody perfect, making people whimsical is why we don't often give alters system roles that could be harmful. We understand that real people are being created, and can have actual consequences if not considered carefully.

Hopefully this clears things up, but if it doesn't, feel free to send more asks!
