After posting the observation that both Loid and Yor were injured at the same arm, during a kind of simmilar arc, I have a further contemplation....
My... my ... both TwiYor actually has bleed for one another 😲😲
Like... both has actually enduring a bleeding wound for the other. 🥹🥹🥹
I mean, if we look again during the Mole Hunting arc, Loid was shot on his arm because he was hesitating in hurting Yuri, because Yuri IS important to Yor.
Tumblr media
He hesitated to hurt other people. That has been his nature all along.
But actually, during this particular event, he hesitated because he care for Yor and her wellbeing.
Even though he didn't understand his actions, because Twilight is a man of logic -- and none of this feelings shenanigans can be logical in any form or way -- Twilight cannot understand why he acted that way.
Tumblr media
Eventually, he relucantly connected the dots, and reluctantly admits that he unintentionally has made Yor as his weakness.
Tumblr media
And as a man who will always -- and has to prioritize his logic, Loid then choose to "nip the problem in the bud" (or a thing similar to that).
But as we can see from several chapters after that, especially at chapter 94 (the snow lodge adventure) and chapter 103 (the watching belle adventure), we know that no matter how many logic he pour unto stopping this ridiculous illogical feelings (or so he thought), his body reacts the other way.
He can't help but listen, and relax whenever he is with Yor. He might be won't admit it out loud, but his body language shows how much he appreciates Yor being by his side.
But...... (I think) Loid will not act upon such thing.
Nope.
He prefer to keep things working the way it has been.
He prefer to maintain the status quo, because it's comfortable.
The logical question would be: Why would someone try to move things that have been working properly as it is, and overcomplicated things?
Now, Twilight might be not as extreme as Hemlock or Nightfall in embracing loneliness, but as Matthew has said, someone gain power from "have nothing to loose".
I think, Twilight has put himself in this category.
Yor, on the other hand, is different.
As a character, she is already different -- if not opposite of Twilight by design.
While Twilight will try his best not to hurt people (I say he might even try to push them away if it means they will be save), Yor will not hesitate to hurt those dare to hurt her few -- but very important people.
As we can see it from the early days of the series, Yor has been, and always will be this way.
She will act first (to help, to protect) and think of consequences (especially if it "only" endangered herself) later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That is why, as seen from the Cruise arc, only when she has found her resolve-- her goal -- that Yor will fight back, and never hesitate in enduring several "unfatal" injuries if it means she can punch down her enemies, and at the end ensuring the safety of her most precious people.
The same happen when she was facing Hemlock.
Tumblr media
But during this Garden Introduction arc, there's been something that has been bothering Yor.
Unlike Twilight who always think things through, Yor leans more to feel things.
She knows that there are somethings different in her heart right now.
Somethings that's not as "simple" as continuing her role as Anya's mother, or her role as the sharpest thorn Garden has ever had.
It is something more deep, more alien to her.
She wants something for herself.
Apparently this wants is not just a "status", or a "safe place to stay".
Maybe it's more deep than that.
Tumblr media
We know it is acceptance that Yor has been wanting for so long. But it seems Yor herself cannot pin point what she actually wants.
As we can see from chapter 114 (the Briars day out), we can see (and assume) that Yor never act to fulfill her own wants. She will always put other's wants first, and never address her own.
This time however, it's different.
She wants to be accepted -- openly -- for who she is.
And for some reason (we know what the reason is 😏) Yor wants it to last forever -- if possible.
So, I guess, I agree with the discussion with several discord moots, that with Matthew's push, Yor will finally act to find out -- to hear and see it by herself -- to know where does she stand in the Forger family (or in Loid's heart) as a wife.
This will be a development of Yor questioning her role as a mother during chp 35.
Because, considering the danger nature of her job as an assassin, "hesitation will end up making everyone hurt".
Tumblr media
And that is one thing that Yor will do in whatever power she has to prevent.
So, in different way than Twilight, this time, once again Yor will act and find out....
Tumblr media
I also love the insight from other reviewers and moots, that said, this time -- for the first time -- Yor will once again push the balance (or status quo) of Loid and Yor's relationship.
She will be the one brave enough to knock on Loid's room door (or a metaphore of Loid's heart) -- a place so private -- so cold and calculative and full of logic -- to find out whether her feelings are true and can be reciprocate, or not.
And maybe depends on what Loid's answer will be, Yor will act accordingly.
Let just hope this bravery of Yor will have a happy result that she -- and by extension us the TwiYor shippers -- deserves 🥰🥰🥰
-------
TL;DR
While both Twilight/Loid and Yor has litterally bleed for one another, they act differently.
Loid by maintaining the status quo of their relationship
Yor by asking assurance of her question (uncertainties), by daring herself to knock / step into Loid's space.

Something I feel like is not being talked enough about regarding N25's WL2 is Mizuki's current situation in the alt timeline. Sure, she appears happy—she gets to do what she loves without fear of judgement and be the person she wants to be—but she is painfully alone.
Mizuki pushes people away and walls herself off emotionally from her peers, literally saying that getting involved like that is too much of a hassle. The only person we see her interact with that she has any kind of implication of closeness or vulnerability is Rui, and even then he's kept away by the distance Mizuki is constantly maintaining between her and the rest of the world. The people she becomes close friends with in the canon timeline (those people being the rest of Nightcord) are nothing more than strangers passing through her life that she speaks to once or twice and then never again.
From what I've learned about the transfem experience, this is a really unfortunate reality for a lot of people. There's a stereotype that a lot of trans women have hobbies that largely keep them indoors and away from people, and this is because these hobbies and lines of work are safe for them. They're forcibly driven out from the public eye for daring to exist outside of what has been deemed "acceptable" and going out can put them in danger of harassment and assault.
With regard to Mizuki's character and her story, she's already gone out of her way to avoid going to school and being around her peers in the canon timeline. In the WL2 timeline this is pushed to its natural conclusion if she hadn't found support through N25: she dropped out of school entirely. While she still does go outside, it's never for socializing and mostly for work. Her design studio is her bedroom and she never collaborates with others. Once again, art imitates life; Mizuki's story reflects real life experiences that trans women like her have to live through.

I fricking love this girl. This is the power of being neurotypical.
I like this scene, of Ena in her room reflecting on Honami's shocking artwork, a lot. It implies that the untenable artwork Ena makes in class, the pieces Yukihira dislikes and can find nothing nice to say about, do have that ephemeral quality he couldn't describe, "appeal," despite lacking any other good qualities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ena is changing her art now, and starting to receive compliments from Yukihira, but, like Ena in her room here reflecting on Honami's art, there's something missing now from the compromised, more technically-sound art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like Honami's art now, many more people can appreciate Ena's improved artwork, except it's lost something unique and strange. We're learning what Ena's style is, that trait her art has that Futaba mentioned admiring and trying to mimic once.
Tumblr media
I kind of love this because, in Emu's room we watched Ena hating and ridiculing Honami's artwork, of being unable to salvage her technique and needing to replace it with something else, out of a sincere desire to help her. But now, Ena is looking at Honami's art but this time going out of her way to try and appreciate it for Honami's sake, and she's finding things she likes; it has appeal. Ena at Emu's house is Yukihira, but Ena in her room here, is Kanade.

Mafudad walking in Comminuty-pizza-gif style to see Mafuyu exhibiting every sign of parental trauma imaginable, unable to taste and barely able to feel, Kanade trying desperately to use music of all things to save Mafuyu's life, and Mafumom saying 'that could be anything!' to Mafuyu telling her to her face multiple times that she wants to die, and being like... "Has nobody thought to get this girl therapy?"

Mafumom, alledgedly, spilled something on Mafuyu's laptop and told her that's why it's gone now, when she was cracking down on Mafuyu's N25 activity. She "sent it away for repairs" and got away with it all.
But this exchange, it implies Mafuyu's dad knew that had been a lie, that the computer was hidden, never damaged, and I think some part of Mafuyu knows it too; she checked all her files to see if her mom deleted any.

On the one hand, good job Kanade, you left your middle school uniforms hanging up neat and clean for two years, on the other, holy shit Kanade seems to respect a part of her house? but of course, that's because of what she keeps there on the dresser.

Now that I've had a few days to sit with it, I think this is my favorite moment of Niigo WL2. People seem to forget that the only reason Kanade makes songs to save Mafuyu is because Kanade told Mafuyu she needs to make that song and in turn justify her own hated existence. Main-story Mafuyu was giving pure GTFO about Kanade's attempts to save her until it became about their mutual survival. Somehow fandom twists that into Mafuyu making Kanade save her, but in a world where she sees Kanade's mental health isn't hanging on for any excuse to keep existing, she encourages Kanade to do something else with her time. Which is as fitting as it hurts because Mafuyu has always been about prioritizing others to the point of her own self-erasure.
But even then, even without her savior complex, Kanade still stays steadfast in her desire to make Mafuyu smile because a person who reaches out to others with warmth and genuinely strives to ease their suffering: that's the kind of person she is, with or without the trauma.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know it's nothing revelatory, but WL2 for the most part seems to be about revisiting those aspects of the characters that fandom willfully butchers and this part, the subtle touch is just really well done, you know? They're good kids, and don't anyone forget it.

It must suck being an RLF member.
Mainly the likes of an MT pilot, but it must especially suck with Rusty around.
Even if we don't directly kill any MTs, the mission critical elements of our missions has 621 directly kill or affect the RLF negatively in such a way we're making stuff worse for the natives, not like another corp or the PCA. Rusty's people.
We don't know how long he's been part of Arquebus for, but it's not hard to conclude Rusty has been killing RLF members as a Vesper for longer than we've been on Rubicon.
Tumblr media
So 621 comes along and he just starts calling him "Buddy."
And if Rusty learned from Flatwell who wasn't a Vesper but was similarly in a situation but in Schneider...
Man.
Being an MT pilot in the RLF must really suck. Like "am I literally just a pawn" suck. And your 'leader' is a recovering Coral addict.
Imagine for a second you're a hapless MT pilot and you know you're going against Arquebus. There's a likelihood you're going to see STEEL HAZE in the field. You try to look for Rusty before the sortie, but you can't find him, so you sortie in dread wondering when you're up to bat to make V.IV appear compliant to Arquebus.
So maybe the 'Buddy' schtick isn't as cynical as I think and, and it's more of a "kindred spirit" thing, since 621 isn't as "free" as the liberation front makes them out to be.
None of the named entities in Armored Core 6 are free from culpability.

Such a stylish, dynamic pose on this one. And I really appreciate how much her pulse buckler looks like a proper Gizmo, or possibly some form of Contraption.
