The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny

a sayjin/snapback one bed fic...

the first thing sayeon awoke to was warmth. solid, but not unwelcome, warmth. sayeon blinked. ryujin was curled up beside her - face tucked near sayeon’s shoulder, one leg comfortably tangled in between her own.

sayeon closed her eyes, then opened them again. her brain raced with thoughts. the ridiculous pink that crept up ryujin’s neck - and her ears - when sayeon leaned in too close. or when said something low, commanding, just to see her squirm. she liked the way ryujin flushed when teased. it made sayeon feel sharp, alive. and the banter, the tension. sayeon liked the pushback, the way ryujin refused to step down, to obey commands, rules, anything.

beside her, ryujin stirred, slowly. she opened one eye and froze, flinching.

“what. the actual. hell."

next to her, sayeon opened one eye, clearly unbothered. “good morning to you, too.”

ryujin shoved the comforter off like it had betrayed her. “why were you holding me?”

sayeon looked up at her, blinking sleepily, still half-asleep. “you’re the one who crawled over the pillow line, baldie.” ryujin’s ears started turning shades of red, her face indignant. “i was cold!”

“you’re always cold,” sayeon yawned, “emotionally and otherwise”

“i will throw you out that window.” ryujin threatened.

“you’d miss,” sayeon replied.

a beat passed. “you’re going to make a thing out of this, aren’t you?” ryujin said without turning back.

sayeon smirked at the floor. “always.”

Folks, friends, y’all…. esk*mo is a slur. I understand a lot of people don’t know that, I don’t want to be a dick about it, but I’ve been seeing it in fics. Wanna write “esk*mo kisses”? Just say “nuzzled noses” or something.

Some rules in society are so-called "idiot rules" that are only in place for idiots. The Thing You're Not Supposed To Do can be done safely, but since an idiot can't do it, they have to officially prohibit it from everyone. And if you do fuck it up and end up eating shit, you're best off dusting yourself off, hoping that nobody saw you, and never tell anyone that you even tried, so they won't find out that you're an idiot.
