Interstate Drywall Corp. recently received two DISCA Awards for Excellence in Construction for their efforts in NJCU as well as Stevens Institute of Technology

Safety in construction is so important. When an employee goes above and beyond, we make sure to thank and recognize their efforts. Due to open in October 2021, One Vanderbilt's Observation Deck will offer stunning views of the city. Rich Jarosz, the Carpentry Foreman along with the rest of the team on site are working tirelessly to ensure that everyone is staying safe and producing incredible results. A congratulatory luncheon was provided to the team to express our appreciation.

Interstate’s Safety Awards April 2021

In the construction world, safety is key. We are constantly striving to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees. When any of our colleagues go above and beyond, we want to make sure their efforts are recognized. This week, we honor and recognize two employees for their standout work in maintaining safe sites. At 181 Mercer St, O’Keith Stanberry was presented with our safety award and the team was provided a luncheon to show our appreciation. We also recognized Craig Mayer heading the team at Terminal One. Craig was also given the safety award while the whole team enjoyed a congratulatory luncheon.

At Interstate, safety is one of our core values and we take it very seriously. We continuously encourage all our employees in the field and in our office to maintain our safety protocols including wearing PPE, maintaining social distancing when possible and regularly receiving Covid testing. Additionally, many of our employees have already been fully vaccinated. We are always impressed with the level of effort and care our team takes in meeting and exceeding safety protocols that have been put in place. We are extremely appreciative and thankful to have such a fantastic group.

A big thank you to Craig Mayer for his hard work at Terminal One, staying safe and doing a great job.

Peter DiTommaso with Jamie Lombardi of Interstate Drywall Corp. – honored by The New Jersey Alliance for Action “New Jersey’s Leading Infrastructure Projects” award.

This award was given to recognize the excellent work done by multiple organizations on the Seven-Seventy House in Hoboken. This program is designed to highlight innovative, pioneering and landmark construction initiatives that greatly impact the state’s economy and to honor the businesses and organizations that work together as partners to ensure the project’s success. New Jersey Alliance for Action was created in 1974 and has played a pivotal role in helping NJ to improve the economy, as well as invest in crucial infrastructure programs. They’ve been recognized as a leader in networking opportunities for the state and have facilitated the collaboration among corporate, labor, professional, academic & government representatives. They have received numerous commendations from governors past and present.

A special thank you goes out to the great people at Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. for nominating us to receive this award. We appreciate the support and recognition.

This award breakfast also recognized many other major projects going on throughout NJ including work we are doing with Hackensack University Medical Center as well as Newark Airport Terminal 1. These projects are going to have huge impacts and we are very proud to be a part of them.

At Interstate Drywall Corp., we value and appreciate all the great work the Alliance is doing and are proud to support their mission to continually improve the state. We look forward to working on future projects they’re involved with and continue to support the great state of New Jersey.
