A 34 year old youth icon died by suicide due to depression!
Many are heard saying on social media and in person, “depression is just a state of mind”, “depression is just an excuse”, “there’s nothing like depression” – well, let me just burst the bubble of ignorance.
Depression is a medical condition which often goes beyond the control of the victim if it’s ‘manic’, ‘persistent’ ‘bipolar’, ‘genetic’ or other severe stages as classified by medical specialists. Yes, I’m not making this up, it’s the doctors who are saying it.
While the heartwrenching demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has opened the eyes of many, some are still walking on thin ice. What transpired is a death of a fanboy 10th standard student who committed suicide stating, “If He Can Do it, Why Can’t I?”

SMS Marketing is much less expensive than other marketing channels, especially traditional marketing channels. It can be effectively done in low marketing budgets. Compared to models like PPC and others, SMS marketing has better reach and lower costs.
Online marketing models have one large drawback, they are done ‘online’. This means both you and your intended audience have to be online to make the marketing communications reach their destination. With SMS marketing, at least your target audience doesn’t have to be online to receive your marketing message. No need to open emails or needing WiFi/ Data connections. Back to the old days!

A landing page is a page that you, well, land on! No seriously, that’s what it actually implies. It is a specialized page which is the first one your browser opens up when you hit a CTA (Call To Action) element on a foreign page or app. Landing page is also known as ‘static page’, ‘destination page’ or ‘lead capture page’. Once a visitor is on the page, he or she is offered a resource from the business in lieu of his or her contact information. The knowledge of how to create an attractive landing page that also helps in maximum conversion is a must-have for digital marketers. After all what good is digital marketing if it doesn’t help in conversions? Digital Marketing classroom training classes like ours often have comprehensive study modules to teach this exact concept of landing page creation with maximum conversion as the main focus.

What is Social Selling
Social Selling refers to directly marketing and selling your goods or services on social media platforms.
Suppose you’re a small business owner looking to sell your stuff on social media. One of your followers opens his/her favorite social media app or website, visits a certain page directly or after some research, browses to his/her heart’s content, shortlists your stuff, checks out and bam! You’re done ‘social selling’. That’s what it is in a nutshell.

Marketers aim to spread the word about their brand to a wide audience, and they often do this by trying to make their content ‘go viral’. Viral marketing is a technique, which marketers use intentionally to spread their message like wildfire.
The term “viral marketing” might sound disgusting to the masses. I mean, let a digital marketing professional call himself/ herself a viral marketer and people will take two steps back. Given the current scenario, some might even wonder, “Do they have a vaccine for that yet?” Indeed, just like a biological virus (*cough*… corona… *cough*), a viral marketing campaign spreads from one person to another, resulting in a large number of views, substantial amount of social shares and remarkable brand awareness.

Digital Marketing generally does follow some preset rules, but not always. Few other trades offer as much flexibility and personalization opportunities as digital marketing does. Learning to mix and match digital marketing strategies is an important skill to master in any content marketing course you may enroll in.
What is personalization anyway? It is the process of creating and distributing unique ads and other promotional content keeping in mind the needs and preferences of the target audience so that the marketers market the right product and experience to the right person at the right time. By doing this, the business stands a better chance of making customers feel valued, having more meaningful interaction and convincing them to convert.

Digital Marketing is not something that is static. With evolving technologies year-on-year, the top digital marketing trends of last year may have gotten obsolete this year. And if experts are to be believed, 2020 will be like nothing we have seen before in the digital landscape. Add COVID-19 to the mix and there you have a complex playing field on the horizon.
All things considered, there are more than 3.48 billion social media users worldwide. That’s roughly 42% of the world’s population and 80% of internet users! So it’s open season for wise digital marketers to tap into the sweet sweet long term revenue for years to come.
Fortunately, with changing digital marketing trends, the psyche and expertise of digital marketers are changing as well. With the competition getting more cut-throat the people running the show are getting smarter as well.
So how to ride the wave of the brand new digital marketing trends of 2020 and leave the competition in the dust? Read on.

Facebook Inc, the social media giant has finally decided to invest in the Indian telecom player Jio after months of speculation. After recent reports that Facebook was looking to acquire a stake in Jio, the company has now confirmed that it has purchased a majority stake in the Reliance-owned venture for a massive $US5.7 billion. No wonder digital marketing in 2020 will be shaken up quite a bit.
While Facebook needs no introduction, Jio was founded less than 4 years back and has quickly gone on to become one of the top internet providers in India with approximately 388 million customers. The arrival of Facebook at the table might prove to be useful. This is because Jio will have a whole range of new resources at its disposal, funds being at the center of that.
This acquisition is a win-win for both. For Reliance, whose debt swelled to more than $40 billion USD (or 3 lakh crore INR) as of September, the partnership will bring in much-needed funds. When it comes to Facebook, it can explore a new avenue into the Indian market, which it’s been looking to gain a foothold in for many years, with varying degrees of success.

Given the favorable conditions, digital marketing jobs will remain trendy, that’s for certain. But what exactly are the profits of digital marketing career, especially considering the human aspects, even if you cast the hype and the trend aside? Let’s find out.
Smooth Entry to Career – Degrees no Bar
Well in India, the prevailing system is such that college education and formal degrees are mandatory in the majority of careers – except the Digital Marketing ones. Yes, you might have read this in one of our blogs before. In this field of work, skills are given far more importance than college degrees. And to be frank, we believe this should be the norm in most industries today.
A Lot of Skills in Demand
Digital marketing is second to none when it comes to the diversity of skills in demand. You have a place in this occupation if you are sound in just about any skill related to digital media or traditional marketing. Be it creating eye-popping infographics, interesting blogs, engaging videos, robust coding, and website designing, planning a digital marketing ad campaign, managing business pages on social media, strategizing ops or leading a digital marketing team – you name it. Even good interpersonal skills like those of communication and presentation will get you placed in lucrative digital marketing careers. There is something for everyone.
Numerous Job Roles
Choose from a wide range of Digital Marketing careers – Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Influencer, Social Media Manager, Content Marketer, Digital Marketing Freelancer, Digital Marketing Executive, Analytics Manager, Search Engine Optimization Specialist and many more. There is no dearth of positions and designations suiting your exact expertise and experience even within individual skill verticals.
Get Paid Handsomely
Well, this might be the most important benefit after all haha! Wouldn’t you be interested in earning more salary against similar workloads than your peers? We bet you will. Take a look for yourself.

Get Creative
The occipital lobe of your brains (in charge of creativity) get some real kicks when you pursue a career in digital marketing! Yes, there is ample scope to explore, showcase and sharpen your creative side here. This is because you HAVE to get creative when working on, say – blogs, creatives, presentations, blueprints, plans of action, audio and video production, etc. There is ample scope for creativity in digital marketing trades wherever you look.
Never Get Bored
Well, this is self-explanatory. Put yourself in the shoes of a Digital Marketing Manager for a moment or two. One day you’re supervising (or even getting your hands dirty on) audiovisual content. Next day you find yourself writing a cornerstone content after which you’re scheduled to review a lead generation report. Finally, you might be directing the sales team to perform a task in a certain way. Are you getting the drift? Simply put, there is ample scope for variety. Just like there is no limit to what a human mind can accomplish, there is apparently no limit to ways in which a digital marketing professional can contribute to the cause.
Socialize and Grow
In the majority of team-based careers there exists the benefit of socialization. But one of the profits of Digital Marketing is that it takes this aspect one step further. This is because the daily work delivery of a digital marketing professional depends upon another professional. It’s a multi-disciplinary arena of work so you get to interact with a lot of people from a variety of backgrounds. Thus it helps you grow and broaden your horizons which might not be possible in other careers.
That’s it for now. Are you thinking of enrolling in a cost-effective course to reap the most profits of digital marketing careers? Get in touch with us today!
Please follow our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages regularly to stay abreast of even more profits of digital marketing careers!
