Audrey was still carefully reading over the papers in her hands once more, to make sure that all of the information on Ulva Island was fresh in her head. She had been doing so for a couple of minutes now, and at this point she was beginning to tune out her surroundings. Until, that is, a friendly-sounding voice caught her attention.
She looked up from her reading material to see that the friendly voice had come from an equally friendly-looking young man. He appeared to be a bit younger than her, and seemed to be alone as well.
"Yes, it's just me.", she replied. "I considered bringing a friend or two, but I ultimately decided to travel alone. I think it will help me to concentrate on sightseeing a bit more."
She paused for a moment to fold her papers back up, tuck them under her arm, and brush some hair out of her face.
"So, you live around here? What's your name?"
Sammy himself had been struck by the urge to travel, checking on his various islands and cities just to be sure everything seemed to be moving along well. He hummed and stretched as he stepped off the boat onto Ulva Island- it had been a while since he’d visited this place.
There wasn’t much but wilderness here, but it was a nice little getaway for tourists to see the wildlife, and he was in the mood for it too. Holding on to his favorite sheep plush, the little Nation stepped off onto the shore and trotted along, the lone lamb looking quite sure of himself even despite his young age and small stature.
He did notice a few tourists joining him on the island, though, and he noticed that one girl seemed to be out here alone. Curious, the Nation trotted over to her and smiled up at her. “Hey, did you really come here all on your own? It’s odd to see lone travelers around here.”

It had been quite a long plane flight, but finally, she was here! It was Audrey's first day of her trip to New Zealand (not counting the night she arrived and slept in the hotel), and she was ready to head out and see as many different things as she could. It was only a short boat ride away from her hotel on Stewart Island to today's destination on a smaller island nearby- called "Ulva Island", according to her map.
Still a bit sleepy due to jet lag, Audrey did her best to force herself to wake up, and looked over the papers she was holding. "Enjoy close views of rare and endangered birds", her brochure advertised. "Learn interesting facts about our birds, plants, ecology, Maori foods and medicines. Gain a unique insight into New Zealand's fascinating natural history and evolution."
"Looks like this is the place." Audrey mumbled to herself. Though she wouldn't admit it to anyone else, she was a bit nervous about traveling on her own like this. She wasn't really the shy type, but visiting another country by herself was a very new experience, so she was much more wary.

Favorite ghost type: Golurks forever.  Our battle style doesn’t jive together very well but a flying ghost robot is pretty awesome.  Shuppets are also pretty cute, teru teru bozu babies.

Though the shivering had not yet subsided, Audrey's breathing soon returned to its normal pace after she took a minute to recover from her exhaustion. Once she had the strength to move around, she stood up and examined her surroundings.
It seemed, upon closer inspection, that the house was not quite as old and run-down as she had initially assumed. This was quite fortunate for her- after all, she didn't have to worry about things like debris falling and hitting her, or pest infestations, or anything else of the sort. However, it did raise a question: was the house still being used?
And, soon enough, the answer to that question began to make itself known to Audrey. Aside from the noise being made by the heavy rain, there had only been dead silence up until this point. But now, she started to hear something else, though it was a very faint sound... footsteps! Or was it? It was difficult to identify, with the sound of the rain obscuring it. In fact, she wasn't even 100% sure she had heard it. Slowly and cautiously, Audrey took a couple of steps further inside.
"Is... is anyone there?"
Another crash of thunder sounded in the distance. Audrey continued to run as fast as she could, eager to find a place to get out of the rain. Not that it would make much of a difference as to whether or not she’d get wet; she had been out in the wilderness for a while, and her simple black umbrella proved useless in shielding her from getting wet, thanks to the wind blowing the rain right towards her.
Finally, though her vision was partly obscured by the weather, she was able to make out a large, dark figure about 50 feet away. Audrey slowed her pace to a jog, and as she approached it, she saw that it was a house. It appeared to be quite old, too, though whether it was structurally sound had yet to be found out. Perhaps she would take a closer look for herself after the rain stopped. But for now, Audrey was more concerned with drying off. She circled around the side of the house, and found the front door… it was unlocked.
She wasted no time at all in getting inside, relieved that she had finally escaped the bad weather. In her haste to get inside, Audrey had slammed the door. She flinched at the startling sound, and then sank to the floor, exhausted from running so much and shivering violently from how cold she was.

"Hmm..." Audrey paused for a moment to think. She did have a bit of free time at the moment, but she was unsure about how long she'd be able to serve as a tour guide. "I suppose I could show you around, for a little while. But the Unova region is quite large, you know. Just how far do you intend to travel?"
