Aaron (married to Robert's psychotic half brother) is going to get possessive of Robert because he sees Robert with an other guy?!

And said husband/brother kidnaps Robert?!

How I'm choosing to look at it:

They're finally prioritizing each other and right as John is unraveling.

He told John to throw away the letter, then he threw it away himself to prove a point, but ...

... they both end up going to see him separately and making him more determined in their own ways?

At this point, you can't fault the writers for playing in to their own hand, and ...

I've been forgetting to keep track lately.

It's a brother-on-brother war for a husband.

Granted, one brother/husband is kind of crazy, yet exciting, and the other is psychotic, but dull, despite being a serial killer, so we already know who's going to win.

He'll win with Aaron every time!

They're literally in the most classic soulmate embrace and then one goes and marries the other's evil, and dull, half brother on the same day when they've already married each other multiple times. I have no worries. What I need is patience.

Formal petition:

The Dingles must start calling Robert The Bad Penny of the family.

Here's the other thing:

They didn't even use the word "permanent" the first time that they hired Ryan to play Robert. Now, not only are they doing that, they're also calling their reunion "sealed," and promising a long story ahead. No soap couple has ever been more of a sure thing. The only way that either actor is leaving the show now is with their character's being a happily married (these two men do have a thing for weddings and, particularly, to each other) couple moving away together (which is how we all wanted their characters to leave in the first place).

Here's what's truly delicious to me:

Aaron, at this point, clearly didn't marry John out of love. He did it out of spite. Out of spite for Robert. Out of spite for their families. Hell, even out of spite of John, and himself. Between their soulmatism, and John's malicious murderous BS boiling up, he's going to be gagging for Affair Era: The Redux by the time Robert gets back out.

John's not going to survive that NDE.

Not even one minute in and we're already going hard.

If those kisses were just 'a hint of so-called betrayal,' just imagine the 'new proper/and historically-iconic' couple scenes will be like, and accept that you're not ready/also so ready.

That second episode back just proved that I'm right in that the writers do still know how to write well, John will be revealed to be an historical nightmare (never to be seen again) sooner rather than later, and our boys will be remarried for the nth time (and for good) by New Year's.

They literally put fans' words in to Ryan's mouth.

Knowing that they'll be married again for nth time and John will be dead/in prison with out the possibility of parole by early next year, if not, sooner:

Realizing that all it takes to drag me back in to watching a daily soap opera again (and having to do so) is the return of one actor to play a character and, thereby, reuniting a beloved ship:

First episode that I've seen in years and I'm already loving it!

This just goes to show that shows are better with Roberts (yes, I am shading an other show in saying that, it currently deserves it).
