A Special Interview with Yu Takasaki

In the lead-up to the first season of Idols Stage, we at ACS will be conducting interviews with the participants of the show. Today, we’ll be speaking with Yu Takasaki, a student from Nijigasaki High School. Miss Takasaki isn’t an idol, but has experience in songwriting and is a special guest on the show.

Let’s get to our questions.

Q1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Yu: Well, as you’ve mentioned, I’m Yu Takasaki. I’m a second year at Nijigasaki! I write a lot of music for our idol club. Apart from all that, I’m honestly a pretty plain girl!

Q2. What’s your role in the show?

Yu: My role is that I’m essentially a prize! When someone wins a challenge I’ll be there to help them out with writing a song so they can get a leg up in the actual competitions.

Q3. Are there any groups you’re keeping an eye on?

Yu: All of them! I’m really looking forward to seeing what everyone will create, with or without my help! It’s really exciting how many different idols there are, old, new, popular, niche, familiar, and not.

Q4. Is there anything you want to do while on the show?

Yu: Hmm, that’s a good question. I guess I’d like to help every unit out at least once?

Q5. Finally, is there a colour we can support you with?

Yu: I’m not an idol, so no colour is needed! You could do black if you really want to, but that’d mean turning off your penlight.

An Interview with A • ZU • NA

In the lead-up to the first season of Idols Stage, we at ACS will be conducting interviews with the participants of the show. Today, we’ll be speaking with A • ZU • NA, a unit from Nijigasaki High School. This trio is known for their fun, upbeat, and bouncy music and are based around the concept of an amusement park.

Now, let’s get to our questions!

Q1. Can you tell us a bit about yourselves?

Shizuku: So, introductions then? I’m Shizuku Osaka, a first year at Nijigasaki High School. As well as being a school idol, I’m also a member of our schools theatre club! Despite all the work, I still get good grades in school. Oh, I also have a golden retriever! Her name is Ophelia! That’s enough about me though, you two should introduce yourselves too!

Ayumu: Right! I’m Ayumu Uehara, second year. Um, let’s see… My friends all call me a hard worker, I guess?

Ayumu: I can’t think of anything else to say! Setsuna, say something!

Setsuna: Well in that case, Setsuna Yuki here! I look forward to showing everyone how bright we shine on stage! Idols are a huge part of my life, so I’m real proud to be where I am today. I can’t thank you enough for this opportunity!

Q2. Why do you all want to win?

Setsuna: We actually had a talk about this earlier! Winning would be a way to help both our school and idol club out tremendously! We can put on bigger and better shows, and we’ll have plenty of new students at the school.

Ayumu: We’d also like to make the special people in our lives proud.

Q3. Are there any groups you’re keeping an eye on?

Shizuku: Well, naturally we’re keeping an eye on our club members, so DiverDiva, QU4RTZ, and R3BIRTH. If any of them win it’ll be a win for the whole club!

Setsuna: But that doesn’t mean we don’t want to win!

Ayumu: I’m personally keeping an eye on some of the newer idols, like Mirabell Maidens and ALL-IN. They may be new, but that doesn’t mean we can go easy on them.

Q4. Is there anything you want to do while on the show?

Ayumu: I’d like to dedicate a song to Yu! She’s been my biggest supporter since the beginning, so it’s the least I can do.

Shizuku: Personally, I’d like to see my old classmates. I know some of them are competing!

Setsuna: I want to give the audience an unforgettable show!

Q5. Finally, what colour should we use to support you?

Setsuna: Scarlet!

Ayumu: Light pink.

Shizuku: Light blue, please. Our unit colour is red!

Idols Stage is an interactive Love Live! fanfiction, in which readers may vote for the outcome of certain events.

The story follows the idols joining a reality television gameshow to compete to become the ultimate idol. Idols will be eliminated one by one, doomed to never become the idol of their dreams.

The gameshow’s rules outline that units may not be larger than 5, so most groups are split into their subunits. Fan-made subunits have also been made for characters that don’t have subunits, so look forward to those! Credit to @chronic-oogami-kinnie for making them!
