This is it! The Museum  of Modern art of  Industrial Engineering  &  Management!

It has come to the end of the first week of my journey at the University of Industrial Engineering & Management!

Today, it was about exploring, inspiring, discovering and on top of them, creativity and authentic !

The museum is ready and we are ready. We set up everything we need and we already had our first guest! We showed everyone what was our art about and all of them appreciated our work and our thinking! We also had some fun in the meantime.

There was at least 20 art which were about to be discovered, so when we had some time, we went to see what other groups of my class and even from other classes have made. We heard their stories, their ideas, their thinking and we saw their creativity. A lot of them were really good but what kept my attention the most was a group of students who put 4 chairs and a big screen in front of them with a movie about life ahead, possibilities, and experience. On the ground, there were lines which marks the road so their idea was to put the chairs on the road which symbolized a car. So, the road showed us the university and when we finally arrive at the car, we graduate. Moreover, we go out in the world, we go out by ourselves, we go out to make a good life for us, we go out to find a job which we love to do and most of all, we go out to live! So the road has just started for us but life is shorter than we think it is. Live the moment and make the best out of it!

So this is how my last day of the first week ended but important moments will come up during my first year and I can’t wait for it!

Preparing for the Pop Art Museum!

As I told you before, the idea is ready, but the actual work starts now ! 

We have been working for the whole day on this Art. Buying products (cartoon, paint colors, tools, tape and a lot more) was the first step. All of us met at university and we started working and creating the Art. Let me explain a little bit what we actually created. First of all, we have the topic Love & Economics, so we have been thinking that we could create two wheels that can spin one by another. The idea is that when you love what you do the work goes better than if you do it only to earn money so, the wheels will spin perfectly and of course money will follow. On the other hand, when you don’t love what you do, and you do it because of something else, you gain stress, the work becomes harder and you don’t have time to relax at all. Moreover, the wheels will get stuck, which means there is a problem!

After hours of enjoying creating and expanding our ideas, we finally finished the Love & Economics Art! We had fun during this project and we are ready to show it tomorrow at the Pop Art Museum! We keep it going! See you tomorrow!

The real talk!

Please welcome to our third day! Today it was the day where a lot of questions were asked! We organized the amphitheater and we were ready to welcome our guests. For about 3 hours, we had an amazing experience by learning and understanding what it’s like to work in the domain of IE&M! A schedule has been made for each team. We had time to meet and talk with one different expert every 30 minutes. After meeting our guests, I took a conclusion. As we still have the topic Love and Economics, we asked each and everyone of them: How do you think love has an impact on economy? A lot of them told us that love is very important because when you love doing something, everything goes well and there’s no need of doing that something for money because if you do it by love, money will follow! So overall, I agree 100% with what our guests presents today and I want to do the same!

Keep in mind! Love what you do and everything will come by itself!

So we have to create an authentic art that we are going to present this Friday! There are going to be funny moments but also learning experience. We have the idea, now all we have to do is to actually do it! :)) Stay with me for the actual work tomorrow !

Second day! Let’s get ready! Kick off!

Oh My God! The colleges are awesome! Professors are brilliant! The second day starts in a very different way than I expected. They gave us more information about IE&M. We laughed together, I made new friends and we already started the first project. So they made teams for this week. Our topic which is Love & Economics! We had a very interesting experiment over Psychology class which I think it is going to be my favorite course. :D There were some notes with some words. The purpose of the “game” was to rearrange the words in such a way that it creates another word. The tricky thing was that the notes were divided in two ways. The first way were the notes with all the word that can be easily rearrange. The other one were the notes with words that cannot be rearranged at all (all excepts the last word which was the same with the first row. However it was hard, we all managed to beat the game but the different was the time that we all had.

The experience that we had was one of the best that I had. I learnt that Psychology is everywhere and we all confront this every time even when we don’t realize it.

Love & Economy Meeting The Experts.

Prepare for Tomorrow! Tomorrow is the big day! We will have the opportunity to ask some really great guys who fulfill their goal and now they manages a lot of big companies. Some of them even graduated Fontys so there’s gonna be a of fun but also learning how is it going to be my life in the next 4 years of studying at IE&M! Stay tuned for more!

My first day at IE&M

My first day at IE&M was still in the plane. I was having a longer flight than I expected and as I was enjoying the view from the plane through the window, I was thinking how is it going to be the university of Industrial engineering and management? How will the professors be? How it will be with the new guys? How is it going to be this chapter of my life? And more other questions were starting to come to my head. When I finally arrived at Fontys, I found out that my class were already gone to see a movie called “The Martian”. So I had to call over the day because it was already too late. :)) 

So my first day at university was actually on the plane on my way to start the university. A new chapter in my life is about to start! It may have not been what it was supposed to be but stay with me because there are new days to come and I bet there will be challenging things over my first week at IE&M!
