Some 3D prototypes of the main characters I made for my group's game. I'm still trying to learn Blockbench, but I liked how they turned out, especially with the little time I had!

First Go at Pixel Art
After years of admiring pixel art, I finally decided to have a go at it. The first couple of images were from last month when I attempted to draw one of my chicken plushies. The image on the left was my first attempt when I was just trying out a particular pixel art app. The image on the right was my second attempt after I had figured out the app's interface and decided to go back and refine the original piece to make it look more like the real-life reference.
Today, I was on the fence about buying Aesprite, so I downloaded the trial version and decided to follow some donut tutorials by Saultoons on YouTube. Needless to say, I ended up buying it. I originally wanted this account to focus around my 3D art, but I've been really wanting to mix the two, so I thought why not? It's still art.
#the funny thing is that I finished the donut tutorial for Aseprite#but I never did the infamous donut tutorial for Blender lol#still have a long ways to go#but hey at least I'm putting my foot through the door

Progress! Haven't chosen a color scheme, yet. Just put some temp ones on to test the render. Now I'm trying to motivate myself to do all the shading and whatnot. OTL

September 2023
A game studio I freelance for wanted us to go back and revise some of our older assets to fit their new art style better. The ones on the left are the old assets I made in December 2022 and the ones on the right are the new ones. Besides the general art style, I feel like I've gotten much better at modeling and texturing! I'm both happy and surprised with the progress I'm making in my 3D art, so I wanted to start like a little journal for myself to look back on. Will I consistently post on here? Probably not, but who knows ^w^
