“What is this place...?” Never once has she ever come across something so unquestionably strange. Seiryuu's village might even be normal by comparison. Yona is someone who relies on words just as much as she does action but here, at this very moment, she finds there is nothing in her vocabulary to describe the world beyond this pillar.
Pulse rising ever so slightly, the thought crosses her mind that maybe she - no, she definitely shouldn’t be traveling so much without Hak. The absence of her bodyguard, of the four dragons, and of yoon does nothing to prevent her from tensing at the sound of movement. “Hello?” She calls tentatively. “Is someone there?”

Logically speaking, it is completely within reason to have been put into this situation. She can hardly blame these people for doing their job. All the same, Yona’s experience with soldiers in the last number of months has set her on edge and being stopped by guards almost instantly after stepping out of the light pillar... Well frankly, it doesn’t do much for her nerves.
When they ask for her bow and arrows, there is little to do other than comply. Her hair is kept covered out of habit but she takes care in making sure her face is exposed enough not to cause suspicion. Back straight, shoulders squared; there is pride in how the princess holds herself but it is not to be confused with aggression. She’s thankful that none of the men around her seem to be threatened by her smaller presence -- and that none of them seem inclined to abuse their position over her. It’s a silent and reasonably comfortable wait for whichever superior is in charge of dealing with newcomers, giving her a moment to take in the nearby architecture. It’s certainly different from home, but there are is a vague familiarity in the sloping rooftops and uniforms of those that stand close by.
The man that comes to greet her makes her all the more curious about this land. He holds a grace and elegance that Jae-ha would undoubtedly admire, (a fact that brings a brief smile to her lips) but rather than marvel at all the sights presented to her, Yona knows she must get certain matters cleared up immediately.
“Pardon the intrusion,” she says, pulling her hood back so that her gaze might be more direct, more sincere. “My name is Yona. I’m a simple traveling entertainer that got separated from my group accidentally. I assure you that I’m not here to cause problems.”

The campsite she has managed to make is ridiculously pitiful compared to Yoon’s. But for a lost princess, truly and utterly alone for the very first time in her life, (aside from Ao but the little squirrel can hardly be expected to do any of the heavy lifting) she can say she’s rather proud. She’s found a stream nearby for water, a dry spot to sleep under a looming tree, and plenty of kindling to last her into the night. The only thing she’s left struggling with is the fire; she’s watched her friends dozens of times but when it comes down to it, Yona is left fumbling miserably.
She is not, however, one to give up so quickly. Even as knuckles are scraped and fingers begin throbbing, Yona keeps at it. She’s still got time until sundown, she reasons to herself. Plenty of time to get it right.
But it’s not five minutes later that she’s interrupted by a body materializing on the far side of the clearing. There isn’t even time to hope it is Hak coming out of the stargate, (and no time at all to realize that that hope exists in the first place) but the young man she’s faced with isn’t entirely dissimilar to her bodyguard. Her eye is naturally drawn to the visible weapon but if the Happy Hungry Bunch have taught her anything, it’s not to judge people by how they present themselves. There is nothing in her gut saying to be particularly on guard, either.
Frozen in her position - crouched next to the would-be fire pit, two stones poised for their next collision in hand - the only thing that comes to Yona’s mind is a simple greeting. “Oh, hello.” She’s yet to really interact with people from these other worlds, but that’s no reason to go around ignore them.
