I’ve not been on tumblr that much, not because I hate people here or the threads, in fact there are a lot I miss on the daily, but im mostly over the interactions, drama and the usual time wasters around here. I am still interested in rping, however. I’ve been using more and more the discord. Not having the looming threat of either the site or some random going on anon really helps, not having to post x amount of pictures for each reply also helps.

If you feel this feeling is mutual, just hmu and we’ll discuss whether or not to take things onto discord. Otherwise, idk where or when I’ll come back. But im certainly not deleting.

Maybe consider this a hiatus? I know, that word has a complete different meaning nowadays, more like a pause, in a sense? Lets call that, a pause.

I really, really hate the garbage hollywood swordmanship tugs and shoves, when both blades meet and the fencers close with each other, simply gritting their teeth and trying to out push the other. 

I especially hate when people argue (without knowing) what happens when swordsmen get up so close and personal, either by desperate need (range advantage) or as active asset (size advantage). What happens (or rather, would happen) is this

This is a guy who got disarmed and did not miss a beat into doing a grapple and throw. It is extremely dangerous and is a hot and debated issue amongst HEMA practitioners for obvious reasons. But what its not, is innacurate or innefective. Both greeks and romans learned wrestling for that same reason.

You CANNOT tell me this is less impressive or spectacular than those absurd shoving matches with swords.
