I’ve never posted on Tumblr before but I’ve been an avid user ESPECIALLY recently since the Stranger Things date announcement and teaser came out. I’ve been a fan for the past 6 years and seeing everyone’s theories and analysis posts have me SO SO excited for the new season. So being that way made me watch and analyze the new teaser to no end and I found smth that I haven’t rly seen anyone else talk about so SEMI SPOILERS AHEAD!!

I saw a post recently of someone thinking that Mike and Joyce were looking at each other here cuz of Will passing out BUT the more I looked the more I was sure they weren’t and instead looking at the same thing. The pole, tree, and sign in the back of Joyce’s shot are THE SAME ONES in Mike’s, making it so Mike and the kids are behind Joyce staring at the same thing. And also important is that Melvand’s Store is across from the giant gate in the library that Vecna walks out of in the same teaser.

There’s also smth to be said about how before the demogorgon pops out of the ground all the soldiers are alive but afterwards it’s safe to say they’re all dead, except for Mike, Joyce, Will, and the kids🤨so is Vecna controlling it to not kill everyone else? Does he send it away?

But a shot that RLY killed me was this shot of Vecna AND YOU CAN SEE THE MELVALD’S SIGN IN THE BACK!! I’m pretty sure Vecna can’t control fire + it looks like he’s trying to push it away from him and last time I checked nobody in this group had a flamethrower or anything that could make this large of a fire. Could this be Will’s powers that ppl are speculating about? Or could it be someone walking into the fight last minute?🤨

I have no clue because it’s all speculation but I just wanted to share since I haven’t seen much about these shots🙏

p.s. I am also the BIGGEST byler advocate and will byers fan for some more background info☝️
