Being a studyblr doesn’t mean you need a Macbook.

Being a studyblr doesn’t mean you need all the fancy stationery.

Being a studyblr doesn’t mean you need to be a “perfect” student.

Being a studyblr doesn’t mean you need to know what you want to study if you plan on going to college.

Being a studyblr means that you find an interest in school and want to continue working hard. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone. You’re doing this for yourself.

Last piece of coursework for the semester due tomorrow. Am really happy with how my coursework has been going so far this year, normally my grades are a bit erratic but I've been consistently getting between 16 and 19 on the 20 point scale which I'm really happy about. The better I can do in my modules this year, the less reliant I am on my dissertation to carry my degree classification.

Also because we couldn't go round to his for thanksgiving year, our token American made a massive thankgiving dinner and packaged it into tupperware for everyone to eat in their own homes which was super adorable and sooooo good

literally… every note i take just makes me more and more excited to start fully plotting out my screenplay. i’m ready. i’m here for it. 

i’ve mentioned this book before - ‘save the cat’ by blake snyder, but i do also want to recommend syd field’s ‘screenplay’ and john yorke’s ‘into the woods: a five act journey into story.’

not so gentle reminder that academia belongs to the queer, the weary, the women, the people of color, the poor, the ill just as much as it does the rich, the white, the privileged. if your academia isn't accessible, i don't want it.

college is catered towards the able bodied and able minded. school applauds people who can stay up all night, skip meals, and work endlessly. that kind of extreme contribution is expected. why are disabled people being squeezed out of academic institutions? why should I feel inferior because of some arbitrary and ridiculous standard?
