Here's an EXACT and (in my professional hopeless romance genre objectively correct) Headcanoned timeline of how Jason fares as a partner: - Starting point/he just caught the feels: Okay THIS is the only time he can be nonchalant. No matter how hard he falls, that boy is traumatised and has never seen a healthy love between two people. Of course he's kinda standoffish and cold, like coaxing a mistreated cat out of the hiding spot. HOWEVER, he isn't a POS- just kinda awkward. You/Oc need to do the reaching out first. - Something changes/OMG this is real love: YES, there are TWO phases to the crush. One when he can acknowledge it as just attraction and one where he skydives into his feelings and realises this is SOMETHING MUCH REALER THAN FLIRTY BANTER! This is where I pose, "He crushes like a teen girl" HC. Giggles like a maniac at every text, kinda dazes off a little too much when he catches a song, smell or food that reminds him of said crush- if he journals which I think he does, there's entries about you/Oc. A LOT OF ENTRIES. - First dates: He's a Jane Austen/classical romance reader, he's pulling a Romeo and mentally already jumping hoops on how you were destined to be together and stars smiled upon such pure love, blah blah blah. However he is still semi-closed off. Fear is a natural killjoy/heartbreaker, however AGAIN he is NAWT a POS to his date, it's just a little awkward and he looks like he's held at gunpoint whenever you ask about HIS wants and needs. (Let the man grow some self confidence gradually) -Dating/It's offical: In the sense that his partner loves him, truly and honestly, Robin/Red Hood/Outlaw/Jason Todd ect? THAT MAN IS NEVER LEAVINGGGGG!!!! Frankly having something THAT GOOD in his pretty shitty life would somewhat drive him crazy protective and clingy. Yes, he's basically moved in by now and sleeps beside you in bed, like you guys are some married couple. Hell, you wanna push it? Probably has the ring picked out and only by the power of common sense is making him wait for a good amount of time to pass before proposing. He is a darling and almost never lost the romantic in him. Flowers from the first date up until he has to pluck them from the side of the road before crashing through a window into your home, because "What's a concussion and possible internal bleeding to getting my love flowers to match their beauty?". Also fuck off if you believe he doesn't spend 99.9% of his time at 'home' crushing his partner as they hold his mass of a 6 foot build as he rambles about anything and everything. From what books he's reading to "Did you know I saw a pigeon lay eggs on patrol?" Again, married couple behaviour. Has to relearn the concept of personal space because he loves so deeply and whole it works akin to an antidepressant, except it's not because his love is so much more than that. He needs to be weened off you/oc before going on far away missions otherwise his poor team (and enemies) has to deal with his withdrawal from his partner. HE IS CLINGY, PROTECTIVE AND A LITTLE CHILDISH- I LOVE HIM RAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Some AroAce Jason and Damian headcanons (with some projecting on my part):

Neither of them actually uses a label.

Upon discovering the other shares his general disinterest in getting into a relationship,they immediately re-enact the pointing Spider-man meme.

Everytime the topic of romance is brought up by someone,they either groan or proceed to silently retreat into a corner (and usually making themselves busy by reading a book) and hope nobody drags them into it.

Neither of them has a real problem with romance in books if it creates good drama (even if stupid sometimes),but they may go back to disliking it once the drama ends and the story gets boring because of this. They sometimes apply the same logic to real life if the conflict is interesting enough and it doesn't concern them.

They harshly criticize the romance quality in every piece of media they consume and especially dislike how almost every movie/series has some of it. If they came to watch the bloody fights in a movie belonging into the "action/thriller" genre,then this is what the movie needs to deliver (not more than half the plot being about the main lead pin after and rescue a damsel in distress for the Nth time when she should have spent that time learning to throw a few punches herself).

Jason constantly fluctuates between HATING being single and LOVING being single. He just wants someone in his life who he can 100% trust without the risk he may regret it later (and with who he can be as emotionally intimate as possible without it seeming weird). Meanwhile Damian doesn't give a shit about all this and believes Jason is just being dramatic with his intimacy-cravings ("If Todd is feeling so lonely at home,he could just adopt something! So what is all this fuss about?").

While Jason may not be actively looking for a relationship,he can still develop a romantic attraction for someone he has spent a lot of time with and had formed a strong emotional bond (something which doesn't come too easy due to the walls he has built around himself). He also gets extremely attached to that person and wishes to share every moment of his life with them.

Damian LOATHES the existence of Valentine's Day and gets mad about it every year on February (but he does like the discounts being made). He also dreads the thought he may not be able to completely avoid seeing couples being romantic (he swears they get twice as annoying during this time of the year).

Damian's goal in life is to end up living like an old lady in a house full of cats,but instead of JUST the cats he gets a whole zoo with at least one exemplary of every animal that lives on Earth (and he even manages to get some that were supposed to be extinct).

Once Damian gets of age,Bruce begins with the "When will you give me grandkids?" bullshit. If Bruce wasn't his father,then Damian would have killed him the moment he brought up this topic for the first time (but he does consider getting him some birds to shut up about how the manor is too empty and quiet). Bruce previously tried this with Jason too,but quickly gave up because he kinda got self conscious about not exactly having the rights to comment on how Jason lives his own life when he is the one who mostly messed it up (so now he only pesters Damian with this since that kid is actually related to him by blood).

MLP + EG Explaining:The School of Friendship was built during a longer timeskip than what one may believe

Since I still see people wonder how was the School of Friendship built in such a short period of time, I decided to make this analysis to explain how it wasn't exactly like that. The "Equestria Girls" series will also be used as reference.

Season 8 opens with this scene that's meant to recap the events of the movie and give some form of closure to others (Tempest's fate).

And judging by how the dialogue is played here,we can assume this is taking place right after the movie is over.

The scene ends with this shot after Twilight announces her idea to open a school where they can teach friendship before it cuts to the intro.

After the intro is over,the scene opens with Twilight and Spike at Celestia's school from Canterlot. And Celestia introduces Twilight to EEA.

Twilight Sparkle:Okay,Spike,looks like we have a presentation to make.

Even with Twilight's tendency to overthink stuff,this couldn't have taken longer than a few days to get done before going to the EEA council.

Twilight Sparkle:Then please,join us for Friends and Family Day. It'll be the perfect time to see our progress!

Now,this is not something you say when you invite someone to come to a place that doesn't exist,which means the school was already standing before this moment happened.

The remaining question is WHEN was the School of Friendship built,and the answer is that a long period of time got cut out during the intro.

Now we'll head to "Equestria Girls" to support that statement.

The "Spring Breakdown" special also makes references to the movie (Storm's staff). Which is used to solve the problem of the episode.

But there are also two details that make this special chronologically fit in the narrative before the events of season 8.

1. The School of Friendship doesn't exist by the time Sunset,Sci-Twi,and human Rainbow Dash arrive in Ponyville.

2. Spike still has no wings.

He is supposed to get them in the 11th episode of season 8,"Molt Down".

The next one isn't that relevant but I think it's still worth mentioning.

In the "Sunset's Backstage Pass" special,Sunset is trapped in a time loop and seeks help from Princess Twilight.

Twilight Sparkle:Sunset,I've been doing some research,and it looks like you've found another long lost Equestrian artifact.

This moment is important because it confirms that Twilight had the time she needed to do any research on the situation.

Twilight rarely does stuff not related to the school once she has it. And even when she does appear in an episode not focused on it,the school may still get a mention ("Best Gift Ever","Rainbow Roadtrip").

Now one may argue that Equestria Girls was never canon to Friendship is Magic,which is still a pretty valid opinion to have if you ask me. But still...even if FIM can exist on its own,Equestria Girls cannot logically exist without the main series unless there are some MAJOR adjustments being made (because it's been always tied to it since the very beginning).

And whether you want to believe the winter season in "Best Gift Ever" and the final EG shorts that make up "Holidays Unwrapped" is one and the same it's also up for interpretation.
