Entry #005 - Your Tenacity
Sorry about this photo, but it’s one I have to share, because it shows me that when you put your mind to something, it gets done. No matter what it is. It can be cold and wet on a Sunday when we have nothing else to do, but if you’ve made up your mind we’re doing snow removal from our driveway and roof, then so be it. I did help up until this last bit when you volunteered to take over and snowblow the last walk up the house. Your tenacity motivates me and makes me take more responsibility when I should, so even though I complain about it at times, it makes me a better person, and is something I find sexy and charming about you. Thank you for that.

Entry #004 - Your Love of Legends of the Fall
You made me watch this over Christmas break when we both had a day to waste, without the kids. You mentioned it was one of your favorite movies. While I’m not sure it’s my favorite movie ever, I love that you love it. It’s a great story that tells a different kind of epic, love story, one well-acted and well-written. While you love Brad Pitt in it, I’m a big fan of Anthony Hopkins - maybe one of his best films next to Silence of the Lambs. Anyway, I love these moments of insight into your taste and the things you enjoy - stories that make you smile and cry. Because it is one of your favorites, it may very well become one of mine as well.

Entry #003 - Your Love of Games
I love that we can play games (just to clarify, fun games, not the psychological relationship draining ones). I’m happy that we can enjoy playing together or with friends. in this case it was a 2am night at Mik & Missy’s and while it was a bit challenging for me to stay awake toward the end of the night, I had a blast playing Fog of Love with you. We didn’t fulfill our destinies in the game, I love that we’re fulfilling ours in real life. :) You’re the best opponent and I hope to still be competing against you well into our old age.

Entry #002 - Your Hard Work
Your hard work and perseverance through all difficult things is inspiring. Right now this morning, you are powering through a morning of nausea (and ultimately taking a sick day from work). But instead of just plopping back into bed, you power through getting up early for work, taking the kids to school, walking them to school and now you’re on the phone with a dog grooming place to make sure the dog can get in sometime this week. Those little things that aren’t always recognized are what holds the glue in this family and for that, I am amazed and inspired. Thank you!

Entry #001 - Your Laugh
Okay, let me first explain what this is all about. These blog posts are my way of taking a moment each day to set aside a few minutes to celebrate what I love about you. Some entries are serious, some are funny. Some are long, and some are short. But, over the course of a year, they represent one thing every day that I appreciate and love about you. xoxo
The first thing I want to post about is how much I love your laugh. It ranges from a full on doubling over belly laugh, to a giddy snort, to an unreserved melodic one you save for when you’re with the kids. Today we sat in the kitchen and the kids discussed names and we both cracked up that Adrian suggested our new dog, Pickles, be named Big Waffle. We both lost it, but your laugh just melts my heart and makes me so incredibly happy. It’s most definitely one of the things I fell in love with you when we first met. It fills me with so much joy to see you smile and laugh and know that you are happy.
This isn’t the greatest photo, but it so captures the day laughing along with Pickles’ shenanigans. You just got back from the mall with Adrian, who picked out this camo coat and couldn’t get enough of Pickles’ cuteness. Your laugh is, above all else, contagious and an audible example of your character. :)
