First of all let me make it clear that I'm not going to ignore any of your or others asks regarding Jikook. The only condition to all those sending in the asks is to be polite and be respectful towards Jimin, Jungkook or any other members. Otherwise I'm very open to discussions regarding Jikook and will try my best to respond to you guys.

Now let's get into the discussion, shall we? So, do I think that its Jungkook in that video?

NO. I don't.

Why I think its not Jungkook and the video is not of his apartment?

There are many reasons. The first one being the crap quality of the video with the faces of the man and woman in it completely wiped out thus making them unrecognizable. All the phones out there offer a much better quality. So, how come we get a video of this poor quality? How come in other photos which they leaked of him alone in his house the quality is better and the angle is completely different? The second reason is regarding the apartment in the video. The apartment rented by BH is in the ground floor, has a courtyard and is surrounded by a high fence. In the video the wall panel seems to be in different places and the windows are different too. Another difference is the apartment in the video has a vase while Jungkook's apartment has a lamp in that same area but not a vase.

Another thing which is highly suspicious is the timing of the video and the length of it. I have heard the narrative that its a video from Feb 2023 cause the man in the video had bangs and long hair similar to Jungkook during the early months of 2023. So, why keep it in the wraps for almost 7 months if it was originally captured in February? Why not release it straight away? Whatever damage, the people behind this video intended to do to Jungkook will be the same irrespective of the time of its release. Be it in Feb 2023 or before the release of Seven or before 3D or his album. And they only managed to capture a 14s or 15s long video? Where's the before and after clips? Very hard to believe they couldn't capture more.

This video was done intentionally to make the audience believe that it was Jungkook. Hence, the similar but not the exact apartment, the video being so grainy that its impossible to identify the people in it however make it look like the man has a silhouette similar to Jungkook, a doberman. The open curtains get me every time. Cause this was around the time Jungkook complained about being stalked, had a video of him taken at the gym, had people sending food to his address. So, they want us to believe that Jungkook would have his curtains open if there was a "supposed gf" at his apartment.

So, that video is either of another couple or intentionally set up by other people to sabotage him. I'm leaning more into the latter option.

I highly doubt its a sasaeng video cause of why they didnt release it immediately after it was captured in Feb 2023 (since they claim its a video from Feb) and cause of how they posted this video and then vanished. There was a tweet on X a few days before the weibo video was released warning the fans about a fake video to sabotage Jungkook and not to believe in it.

We need to remember that they work in an industry which has a dark side ruled by people who are capable of such deeds. I don't wanna share much about this but its not impossible. So, always trust the artist you stan rather than questionable sources.

Now let's talk about Jungkook denying the gf rumors.

He was on Station head when he was getting repetitive messages asking him if he has a gf and this was how he answered them:

Now to those that'll say "but he didnt deny the video, would've been a fling, would've broken up". He already knew what storm was going on and chose to address it. He could have chosen not to. And the Jungkook I have seen so far would have clearly admitted if he had a gf. Cause don't you remember the AHL Jungkook guys??!! He was just starting his career at that time. But he didnt hide that he had a gf before. I still remember that conversations cause of the words he used.

Do you think this Jungkook who was just starting his career who openly talked about his dating experience and how he wanted to get tattoos even though Yoongi said him not to cause it'll be frowned upon by the fans, will be afraid of admitting he had a gf? I don't think so.

But the crowd was quick to spin more narratives when he denied having a gf. They accused him of being a f**kboy going around sleeping with women. He saw all this and decided to show up a few hours later after denying of having a gf. This time he went head on denying the allegations and even exposing himself to an extent (I was shocked) by posting this TikTok trend:

So, he chose to do a Tiktok trend which was pretty old by that time and captioned it as "I go the other way".

Those who are gonna say "He just did it the trend in the opposite way hence the caption". STOP. Cause we all know its obvious what he meant when he captioned it like that when the singer was mentioning names of girls. He could have done it the opposite way without the caption. And he deleted it after a few minutes after he was sure that those that cared about him got the meaning behind it.

Now he has done something similar like this in 2019 when he was wrongly accused of dating Mijoo.

This was the first time he appeared on a live after the whole circus. It looked like he came there to make that exact statement. It was out of the blue. And the choice of his words were more specific to be exact. Even Hoseok was confused. You can take it however way you want. Either simply like Jungkook complimenting Hoseok or just try to connect the time he opted to say it. A time when he was rumored to be dating a girl. After Jungkook has shown us all where his interest lies in, which is obviously not with a girl but with a boy for whom he wears his heart on his sleeve. I choose to believe the latter option.

You can watch the live here. Jungkook appears at the 24 min mark. Just notice his face and expression when he says "I never thought I would fall for a man". He's letting us know through these small moments. Just read it with the bigger picture taking timing into the context.

You know I’ve seen some people say that JJ’s ending and the plot line wasn’t bad writing and it’s just a sad ending, and that’s why people don’t like it. That JJ was a sad character and was supposed to have a sad ending so it made sense and I’m sorry but no!

If they needed JJ to die there are ways it could have been done well.

For starters saying that JJ is a sad character who was of course going to have a sad ending is such a cop out, not only is it poor writing it’s borderline disrespectful to the fans who love the character and worse the real life people in similar situations. Like if this show is lighthearted fun then JJ shouldn’t have needed to die and if this show if supposed to reflect real life then maybe have some respect for people who actually endure abusive childhoods and not tell them the only ending is bad.

But if they absolutely had to kill JJ (whether it’s because of on set issues or an actors request or even just needing to set up season 5) there were ways to do it without doing whatever the hell we got.

It’s simple, the Pogues should have found the crown and made it home, with Groff in tow so they can hand him off to Shoupe to clear their names and have JJ inherit the Genrette fortune, which would both get them a great lawyer to help Pope and would mean they can save the Cut and stick it to the Kooks. Have the season start wrapping up looking so happy, Sarah and John B happy in the early stages of pregnancy. Pope, Cleo and his family united and bonded after some emotional conversations, JJ and Kie actually acting like they’re in a relationship and maybe even her parents coming around (why set up the scene with Mike if that wasn’t the plan?) . Then in the last five minutes have the mercenaries show up, steal the crown out of police lock up and maybe even bust Groff out since maybe he called the mysterious ‘Finch’ and convinced him he could help them make a big score then have them kill JJ. The Pogues would still get their emotional motivation to hunt down Groff but JJ would at least get a proper story arc and closure.

JJ had no moment of triumph, who cares that they found the crown? We learnt about it like five episodes ago and it doesn’t do anything? Why have the entire Genrette storyline if it’s going nowhere? Why have JJ say he already got his wish when that’s not at all what we’ve been show in the second half of the season. Most of time the Pogues were mad at him (even when he was struggling and it felt very forced to have them not understand why he’s so messed up) and he and Kie had no moment of romance, barely friendship. So how did he get his wish? He didn’t get anything in this season or really any of the other seasons for us as an audience to feel satisfied.

This was bad writing plain and simple. There were ways to write around or through the actor leaving and it seems like they just phoned it in out of pure laziness or worse apathy. The team behind this decision deserves all the backlash they’re getting right now.

I’m so mad right now. I was literally watching every second of the credits hoping they have a shot of the grave and a hand coming out of the dirt just to have some hope, but no. Once again they’ve screwed the fans over.

It’s not even about the ship for me, even though the decisions made in the second half of the season are just highly unprofessional, no for me it’s the fact that JJ as a character went through absolute hell for most of his life and he never got to see how it could work out in the end.

He didn’t get to stick it to the Kooks for trying steal their home, he didn’t get to meet his godchild, he didn’t get to go on the surf trip with Kiara or even learn that in the end even her dad knew he would never have killed someone, which probably would have felt really good for him after all their shit.

I hate that this is another character that has done almost nothing but suffer and sacrifice for the people they love only to have a tragic and far too soon ending.

Im furious about this and no, I will not be watching season 5 or any future seasons.

OBX THEORY/DESIRE

So I've decided that if this is going to be the last season of OBX, the Pogues need an unequivocal happy ending, not just a slight win but a full on victory against the Kooks, which is why I desperately want the following to happen:

Since it seems like the Kooks are trying to gentrify the island and son-in-law Genrette (i refuse to learn his name) and blonde lady (also don't care about her) are teaming up together, I hope they're secretly behind the takeover and have purchased all the Pogue land in the Genrette name. After all the treasure hunting is over with, blonde lady is dead or in jail and son-in-law is also found guilty (most likely of murdering grandpa Genrette and JJ's mum) so he's gone but the town is made aware that there is a last Genrette heir who is going to claim all the land. The Kooks are overjoyed thinking they've won and the locals are devasted and concerned, jump to a Town Hall meeting with locals, Kooks, officials, and the cops all arguing and trying to figure out what's going to happen to their homes when the Genrette lawyer walks in (you know they have one) and announces the last heir will be there shortly, then in walks JJ and the Pogues to laugh in the face of the Kooks and save the town and live happily ever after.

A little too sweet I know, but if we're ending it here, I need to see the Kooks pay for the things they've done in some way and the Pogues can't end on a maybe happy ending, it has to be all or nothing.

Im just saying if they plan on doing flashbacks to JJs mum making a plan to save JJ as a baby they better not blow the opportunity of having someone say:

OBX S4 Thoughts so far

Okay so just a few random thoughts about the first half of season 4:

- Kie’s parents are still the actual worst people in the world and I’m glad we’ve seen almost none of them this season.

-Luke Maybank (🤢) is back in town so Kie’s parents get bumped down to second worst.

- Sarah saying she’s 19 made me laugh so hard because I’m pretty sure there’s no damn way they’re 19. (16 in the first season, then if you calculate it the first three seasons only took place over maybe six to eight months so they are 18 at an absolute push)

- How can Rose, who literally has to be the legal guardian of Sarah, just cut her off? (Must be why they tried to make us buy the whole ‘they’re 19’ thing)

- The JJ parentage storyline is a little out of left field since I don’t see Luke ever voluntarily taking on someone else’s kid and then not trying to squeeze money out of the family but we’ll see where it goes. Fingers crossed for JJ inheriting an island

- All the couples are super cute so far and thankfully this season has the gang back together

- WHY is Topper still in this show?

- Rafe still sucks and no matter what they try, unless he dies for a Pogue I’m not forgiving him.

- Shoupe is a moron and I was really hoping they’d make him loveable but no.

- The Kook vs Pogue stuff is kind of annoying when the gang is literally getting kidnapped and held at gun point, like the original concept was (no pun intended) golden, but the minute they made the treasure hunting the major plot device it kind of changes the stakes

- Hope the beach girl gets eaten by sharks 🤞🏻

- Wish JJ got to meet his grandfather knowing who he was since the guy seemed legit and it would have been nice for him to have some non deranged family

- Really hoping they don’t do what I’ve always assumed they were going to do with JJ, minimise his abuse cause it’s too complicated to write

- Love their little Poguelandia lite

So far this season is far better than season 3 but I am sad this is likely the last, despite its flaws I wish we’d get one more season.

Sorry for anyone still doubting jikook but that episode did nothing but cement it for me. Once again when they were hanging out alone together I felt very much that I shouldn’t be watching.

Not because they were doing anything scandalous or inappropriate, just a very prominent feeling of ‘I don’t think I’m supposed to be seeing this.’

If you don’t see it, that’s on you but damn did they make it real obvious this episode that they treat each other in a vastly different way to how they treat others.

Do you think, if I asked politely, jimin would let me spoon jungkook for a little bit? I feel like people have this impression that Jungkook is the one giving taekookers reasons to drag Jimin. People are always questioning whether Jungkook likes Jimin, but not whether Jimin likes Jungkook. And that's not because Jungkook is failing to make clear he likes Jimin, because he does make it clear all the time. No, the real reason is because Jungkook is the one in both ships, so a lot of shippers (specially the ones that see shipping as a competition) value his opinion more than Jimin's and Taehyung's. So if Jimin says he likes Jungkook, taekookers don't care, the problem is if Jungkook says it. If Jimin is 'dismissive' of Jungkook, taekookers don't care, it only becomes important if Jungkook does it.

One example is taekookers (and jjks too) saying that Jimin mentioning the enlistment more than Jungkook did is proof that Jungkook didn't want to go with him. And some other people (like pjms) might then say that Jungkook is not doing enough and is causing Jimin to get dragged. But you could say all the same things about Jungkook mentioning the travel show more than Jimin did. Jungkook is the one that has (very excitedly, mind you) talked about the show in multiple occasions, while Jimin only has acknowledged it when someone else brought it up first in his presence, but he hasn't talked about it on his own. Does that mean Jimin doesn't want to do it? Is he trying to get Jungkook dragged? No, no one is going to say that because Jungkook isn't getting dragged for 'forcing' Jimin to do the show, it's the other way around. Even though Jimin is the one not talking about the show he is still the one being accused of planning and forcing the whole thing. And that has nothing to do with what Jimin or Jungkook did or didn't do, it has to do with the fact that Jimin is the one taekookers want to drag, not Jungkook.

Another example is the entirety of last year. If you pay attention you will notice that Jimin didn't mention Jungkook that much, he actually didn't mention any of the members that much. Jungkook on the other hand, made an entire livestream centered around Jimin and talked about him several times during other lives. Throughout the year he asked many (and I mean MANY) times for Jimin to do do a live with him. Like, for fuck's sake, he came on weverse shirtless (implied naked) lying in bed practically begging over and over again for Jimin to let him go to his house and to a live together, all while Jimin keep denying him. And still, 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭, people are trying to claim that Jungkook at best doesn't give a shit about Jimin, and at worst actively hates him, while also claiming that Jimin is obsessed with Jungkook and won't leave him alone.

So as you can see, regardless of what the two of them do, regardless of who has done a better job of making clear they like the other, it doesn't matter, it's always going to be turned into 'Jungkook hates Jimin. Jimin is forcing Jungkook to do things.'

Jimin and Taehyung are the love interest of this story, while Jungkook is the main character. It's assumed the two of them want to be with Jungkook, that's their whole reason for existing, so there's no need to question their love for him. On the other hand, Jungkook, as the main character in this romance story, has to pick between two options, so his love for one of these option is not a given since he won't be picking that person in the end. He only needs to love one of them, so he could easily hate the other while maintaining the romance the story needs. Jimin and Taehyung aren't giving the option to hate Jungkook, but he can hate one of them. And that's the real difference.

You explained the real issue better than i ever would have been able to. It’s just as i said that these people intentionally twist Jungkook’s words so they can have a reason to hate on Jimin and the fact that Jimin’s words could be twisted too to hate on Jungkook but that doesn’t happen shows how vile and unreasonable tkkrs and jjks really are. The sickest thing is that these people have created a lose-lose situation because even when Jungkook shows beyond measure that he adores Jimin, they say that he did that under duress or only did it for fs.

That’s why i get mad at pple who hate on Jungkook for these reasons because deep down they know that Jungkook did nothing wrong. They are only letting the words of haters get to them and then transferring that aggression to Jungkook.

I saw a PJM being extremely vile towards Jungkook a few days ago because jjks were circulating a video of Jk mimicking Jimin singing and claiming that Jk was mocking Jimin’s voice but every normal person knows that Jungkook tries to imitate the tone of voice of the person he is imitating in a more funny way. When he tries to imitate Tae with his baritone voice, he gets his voice to be baritone in a funny way. Is that him mocking tae’s singing? These are things that they know but they try to twist them to make Jk look like an asshole.

Listen, i really hate Jjks and Pjms for the way they potray jimin and Jk. Jjks have no problem letting people think that Jk is a bully and an asshole who is physically, verbally and emotionally abusive as long as they can drag another member. You see them proudly posting videos showing Jungkook “bullying” his hyungs or being a “brat” to them while kie kiing about it but tomorrow blinks or exols or other solos in the fandom will use those same videos just drag Jk for filth with thousands of likes.

Then we have pjms who think that they are Jimin’s saviour. Always making him out to be a victim or someone who just stands there and lets jungkook treats him like trash even though the rainy day story should have taught everyone that Jimin doesn’t tolerate nonsense from anyone, even Jungkook. I hate how they make Jimin seem so pitiable and weak. I hate how they make it seem like Jimin is so desperate for love that anyone can get away with bullying him. Jimin is kind and the is the sweatest little bean but he is far from a pushover. He is small but mighty and has a mental strength like no one else. They don’t realize how much mental and physical strength it takes to go through half of the things Jimin has been through and instead of recognizing and praising that strength and trusting that he knows what is good for him, they choose to potray him as a weakling or the biggest victim of every circumstance and this pisses me off so bad because they are not doing him any service.

I understand that Jimin and Jungkook’s relationship is far from perfect and nobody should be expecting it to be. In their bond, there is the good, the bad and the ugly and even though these things are what makes them 100% authentic, some people choose to ignore the bigger picture and focus on their own perception of things or straight up bend truths to suit their narrative.

I need all those who keep complaining of there being too many jikook moments in the content that we get to watch this. Notice how during their down time the other members are either usually dispersed or on their phones doing different things? Look at them and then look at jikook who love being together or hovering around each other just being plain goffy and fun together. If you were the company would you prefer to fill up the content with members sitting around on their phones doing nothing interesting or would you take as much footage as you can of the two who love being together and who always look like the are having the most fun doing the most mundane things?

People continue to conplain about Jikook being shown together alot in official content as if it is the company’s fault that Jikook love being together and always look like they are having the most fun together. Watch all content and you can always be sure to see Jikook together goofing around or just enjoying each other’s company even when they are not the focus of the camera.

Jikook shares a car for years =not a couple

Jikook are seen out together all the time for years = they’re just friends

Taekook are seen out a handful of times in 2022/23 (while Jimin was busy recording TWO albums) = boyfriends

We get Jikook content (in BANGTAN BOMBS, ITS, BV, Are You Sure, ect) = company content and therefore is fanservice / scripted

Taekook content (from the same things) = Real and unscripted moments. Except ITS. That was the company FORCING Taekook to act like they weren’t close. Or wait..was it a private date?

Jikook releases content with a photobook and merch and they’re only being used for money by the company. But it’s all fine and dandy for their precious favorite to release a photobook. BTS as a group writes and releases a book. There’s multiple mentions of Jikook moments and it’s company clout to make money. DON’T buy the book! But they’re all eating up Tae’s photobook.

Jimin so much as mentions that Jungkook is doing okay in a post after their enlistment or in a live and it’s the end of the world. Jimin is USING Jungkook.

Taehyung name drops Jungkook left and right on lives and interviews/any chance he gets and he’s a loving and supportive boyfriend so it’s totally okay.

Jikook enlist together = Jungkook was forced/ the company made him. A REAL gay couple would NEVER enlist together. Magically they all forget it was THEM that was hoping, praying, wishing for Tae and JK to enlist together.

Any Jikook content is released and it’s Jungkook was forced. The company made him. They keep Taekook apart! But as soon as they get something of Taekook it’s proof that they’re real.

One minute JK HATES Jimin. The next he’s best friends with him. One minute Jimin is the devil because he’s trying to come between JK/Tae and the next he’s their biggest supporter and fan!

And one minute Jungkook is a loving and supportive boyfriend to Tae and the next he’s a horrible liar who only hurts Tae.

One minute Taekook are private but not secret and the next they’re obviously boyfriends because they were seen together, at an event, with cameras. But cameras automatically mean that Jikook aren’t a couple. Because they’re only together when there’s a camera/the company makes them film content.

Jikook aren’t real because staff was with them but Taekook go to a movie premiere and a ski trip WITH the Wooga squad/security staff and that’s a private date. And let’s not forget their private date at Atomix (that included the other members and staff)

Jungkook supports FACE on his lives, talks about it, sings the songs, dedicates whole lives to watching Jimin content and the company is using him or their favorite, he was forced to do it. He doesn’t mention LAYOVER at all and he’s being the best most supportive boyfriend because Taekook don’t need to be loud/he was letting Tae have his moment to shine. But then he sings one of Tae’s songs on a live (where he sang all of the other members songs, including Jimin’s) and he’s being the best boyfriend because he’s verbalizing/showing his support for his TaeTae!

Jimin shows up to support Jungkook in NY and he’s an attention whore. Tae shows up to support Jungkook at his music show performance and he’s just supporting his boyfriend! Isn’t it great?

Jimin uses Jungkook to get views and streams and what not (according to them) and he’s a horrible person but the same music show that Tae visited JK on uses Taekook to get more clicks and views on their site by saying they’ll release more photos and that’s perfectly fine with them.

They’re claiming actual real content of Jikook is fake, edited, and AI, when they have literally edited Tae’s head onto Jimin’s body FOR YEARS. Because it’s the only way they can get the type of photos they want. But they completely ignore actual real photos/videos of Taehyung with his girlfriend. That’s all a show don’t you know. Just like Jikook. To hide the real couple. (Because hiding one gay couple with another one makes any sense)

They claim us Jikookers are horrible. We drag Tae ALL the time. We make edits. We lie. We do all these nasty, wrong things. (And yeah, there are some who do) but they act like none of them do ANY of these things in regard to Jimin or even Jungkook. You know, one half of their precious ship.

There’s so many more things. How is anyone supposed to take them seriously when THIS is what they do? If they would just stop, think, use their eyes and ears, actually pay attention to the content we get, the boys themselves (what they say, do, post) and got out of their fantasies, they would see what’s real and what’s not. Something can’t be one way for one ship and the same thing be the complete opposite just because it’s a different ship. Sorry. Not how it works.

Everyone in this fandom knows how real Jikook are. (As friends or more) because Jikook are the one ship everyone panics over. Mention Jikook and the flood gates open. How dare you. You’re asking for trouble. Mention any other pairing in BTS and it’s perfectly fine. Those ships and bonds/friendships are accepted. The other ships bonds and friendships are real, but are they real as in they’re couples. No. But Jikook…Jikook is real. The love and bond they have is real. It’s more. It’s powerful. And it scares the hell out of everyone.

I can’t wait for “Are You Sure”. It’s going to be amazing. Getting to see them. Happy. Enjoying their time together before they enlisted. Seeing that special bond they have. It’s going to be chaotic, cute, funny, and so much more. In one word: Magical. Just like every other time together they allow us to see.

Whenever i see things like this, i am reminded why i decided to leave shipping spaces. Jk is a sorry excuse for a boyfriend because he left a concert without telling Jimin he was leaving yet everyone and their mama wants Jungkook to do for other people the things he has done for Jimin for years. Everyone wants a GCF, everyone wants Jungkook taking their someone else to Japan, everyone wants Jungkook to make big pancakes for them because they have penalties. Everyone wants Jungkook to go over to someone else’s house and cook for them everyone was praying on bended knee that Jk did for others what he did for Jimin during FACE era. It’s always the same damn thing with little minded people. In 2021 at Harry Styles concert, we had people yapping about how Jungkook didn’t like Jimin because he spent the whole time at the concert being glued to Taehyung but what did we find out later? Wasn’t that the same period when we found out that Jungkook and Jimin were basically spending their entire days together? Going and coming back from concerts together, eating together, working out everyday together and to add to that, Jk was in Jimin’s room so much that even Tae thought Jimin’s room was Jk’s. Wasn’t that the same time we found out that Jk would go knock on Jimin’s door at 1am, stay there for about 4 hours at a time and then rinse and repeat? If we are to judge how much people like each other by how glued they are at certain points then why on earth was Jk singing and swaying with another member at a concert yet he wasn’t going to spend all his downtime in that member’s hotel room? He hated Jimin so much that he decided to go spend all or most of his time alone in the room of the member he hates so much?

Same damn thing happened at Hobi’s album release party in 2022. Before we got the Bangtan bomb, everyone was yapping about how Jk and Jimin were never seen together at the party and that meant they hated each other only for us to see them in the bangtan bomb “hiding” in a dark corner with hands touching and clearly separating from each other when they noticed they cameras.

Should i also bring back their rookie days when everyone was so damn sure Jk hated Jimin’s guts because he always “pushed” him infront of the camera or ranked him last in looks only for us to find out from many sources that Jk infact would pile clothes on his bed and go sleep in Jimin’s bed and he himself later mentioned that Jimin is the member he spends most of his nights with. Jk hated Jimin so much that he chose to spend his only resting time hanging out with Jimin. I’m sure he used to strangle Jimin all those nights they were together alone.

Tae and Jk are the bestest of besties coming and leaving together to and from Yoongi’s concert yet that didn’t stop Tae from leaving Jk alone at a ski resort and journeying back home with his friends while Jk stayed there all alone. I was going to say this a well. I quite don’t get why some people portray him as a party boy when he has shared several times that he’s more of a homebody and feels more comfortable chilling with friends or relaxing at home - which, for an introvert, isn’t surprising at all. White Bear Artillery Brigade.

I'm not here to share anything earth shattering or reveal new information. I'm just going to elaborate on what I know and how I see it. Feel free to form your own opinions.

Ok so, from everything I know, this is how I'm understanding it (long ramble)...

Republic of Korea (ROK) Armed Forces is one of the largest and most powerful standing armed forces in the world. At any given time, it consists of about 600,000 active duty soldiers and approximately 3 million reservists.

Soldiers are automatically transferred to the Reserve Forces upon discharge from their initial active duty service and serve four years in the Mobilization Reserve followed by four years as a Homeland Reservist. No one ever talks about this. They are not "free" following their active duty service. They are still considered reservists.

Jimin and Jungkook are in the White Bear Artillery Brigade of the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA).

ROKA itself, the Army, is the largest of the military branches. The other ROK military branches are ROK Navy and ROK Air Force. The ROK Marines are part of their Navy forces.

It might be difficult to fathom the scope and size of ROKA. Here is an outline of the structure. You will need to scroll down a ways to see where the 5th Infantry Division falls. It is under Army Grounds Operations and then under V Corps (Corps 5).

The White Bear Brigade consists of the: 195th, 196th, 205th and 988th Field Artillery Battalions. The 196th is also called YELLOW DRAGON.

I do not know which Field Artillery Battalion Jimin and Jungkook are assigned to.

Each of these Field Artillery Battalions are scattered in different locations but tied to the 5th Infantry Division. The 5th Infantry Division's top general controls these Field Artillery Battalions.

And the term "field" only means they are not located at the training base where Jin is.

It means they are out in the "field" in another remote, secluded strategic location, away from the main base, where if necessary, they and their artillery, can be deployed efficiently and rapidly should this action be required.

They don't see Jin any more. He is at a separate location.

The front line between South Korea and North Korea is lined with hills and low-lying mountains, they will be nestled up in there somewhere.

"Field" does not mean they are living in the middle of a farm field in tents, cooking food over campfires. It means they are at a base somewhere in the hills and mountains. This base will hold lots of other soldiers, though not as many soldiers as there are at the original training base where Jin is because that's sort of a hub where they deploy the newly trained soldiers from.

Simple terms: Jimin and Jungkook are out there in the middle of nowhere near the front lines at a base where they take care of weaponry like tanks and the ammo for tanks in case they have to quickly respond to an attack. Heaven forbid.

Anyway. How many ways can I explain that? Obvs a bunch.

Military jobs.

There are probably dozens of jobs that an Army base like theirs requires.

Cooking food to feed all the soldiers is one of those jobs. Cleaning the kitchen after cooking is part of that job. There were rumors since January that Jungkook was a kitchen worker. Those in the K-military call it Kitchen Police. And then JK just said he is cooking rice and cleaning up to the ceiling so that pretty much confirms he is indeed a Kitchen Police.

In the context of him being enlisted in the military and him coming to tell us he is doing good in the military, he is telling us he cooks rice and cleans up afterward.

He didn't mean he sometimes randomly cooks rice in his room. Nor did he mean he made himself a snack. It doesn't mean he also has a second job of cleaning. Everything he does will be associated with the Kitchen Police.

Their days are very regimented and structured. He will be one soldier on a team of soldiers tasked with creating enough food 3 times a day to feed the entire base. It is a full time job.

The rumor for Jimin is that he might be in a role that involves maintenance. Maintenance of what? We don't know. But what we know about Jimin is that he was on the robotics team in school, he has leadership skills, and he made a bunch of LEGO kits and a miniature house model in front of us during several weverse lives. Is he putting together computers? Is he reassembling machinery? We don't know.

The Companion Enlistment Program.

The buddy system was created in 2003 in order to foster better outcomes and psychologically stronger soldiers. It allows those who choose to enlist under this program to be with someone who they can gain this support from throughout their enlistment. That's the whole point. To be together during their enlistment.

The age range is dynamic. Every year this range progresses one year.

For 2023, the age range for this program were those born between Jan. 1, 1995 and Dec. 31, 2005. For 2024, the age range will be those born between Jan. 1, 1996 and Dec. 31, 2006. And so on.

The reason is because only Korean men between the ages of 18-28 are conscripted. 2023 was the last year Jimin was eligible for this program.

The criteria is very specific when choosing this type of enlistment. You can't "game" the system by enlisting in this program for reasons other than the ones the military has set for this type of enlistment. It's the military... they are masters at the "game." Strategy, out-thinking the enemy, creative warfare... that's their gig.

The barracks where Jimin and Jungkook sleep will be the same. The bathroom where they wash up will be the same. The cafeteria where they eat will be the same. Their recreational facilities will be the same.

It's the same base, same facilities. They may not be in each other's faces while they perform their jobs every day, but they see each other EVERY DAY. They sleep together EVERY NIGHT.

Delulu time.

Every time I say that I go "hammer time" and think of MC Hammer and the song starts in my head...anyway... I'm a dork.

I can imagine Jungkook's day starts a little earlier than Jimin's because the kitchen will need to be ready to serve breakfast for the rest of the soldiers.

There might be other teams/groups who also begin their day earlier than others. Perhaps they all gather and do some sort of brief, early morning drills or general chores before heading off to their respective posts/jobs for the day. I don't know, just guessing.

The kitchen team would do things like take in supplies, store the supplies correctly according to regulations, place orders for more supplies, gather the ingredients to make that day's menus, prepare the foods according to specified recipes, serve the food, maintain and clean the serving area, maintain and clean the cooking appliances, cookware, cooking utensils, clean the food trays and eating utensils, clean the kitchen from floor to ceiling, plan and prepare for the next day's menus, doing any preliminary prep like thawing frozen food, etc.

Menus are not decided on a whim. The Army will have set daily menus and have contracts within the country's food industry to provide ingredients and supplies in bulk.

I used to think it was slightly odd to obsess over the food they were being served in the military. But now I'm keenly interested. Is there a jikook food tray account on X?

As I don't really know the details of Jimin's job, I can only guess that he reports to his job, carries out his duties just like Jungkook and just like all their fellow soldiers. His duties may be similar in that he inventories supplies, orders new supplies/parts. Or he might be training for a specific skill like polishing glass for gun scopes or something. I just made that up to use as an example.

Of course, duty on base would be vastly different from combat if they were to actually be activated to fight. I don't want to think about that.

Perhaps during the course of their week, they all attend classes or lectures or informational meetings or whatever. I don't know. That's just a guess. But somehow, information would need to be shared and continuing training would need to occur.

At the end of the day, they'd head back to their own barracks and enjoy their evening of free time. They'd get their phones for a short period of time. From what I understand, depending on their location, their wireless signal may not be reliable or strong.

Maybe they work out. If so, they do it together. They are accustomed to doing that so there's every reason to think they'd also work out together while enlisted.

They can decompress in the company of each other, relaxing, being themselves in the comfort of familiarity. They can talk about things that they accomplished, things they learned or situations they got embarrassed about.

They can make jokes with each other, poke fun at each other, commiserate, empathize, laugh, express frustration or joy with each other.

If they have enough moments of privacy, they can vent about assholes they had to deal with or they can hype the nice people they interacted with during their day.

Or they can just relax in the company of each other in silence and nothing else.

You know... all the things you do with the person you are most comfortable with... the person they wanted next to them sharing the ups and downs of this period of their lives. It works out wonderfully for them.

Then lights out and go to sleep and do it all over again the next day.

Anyway. I send up my thoughts every day that they are safe, healthy, eating well, and that their bodies and minds are strong. I am thankful they have each other. It is day 97 into their service. 451 days remaining. FIGHTING!
