reminder that Joe still cared about Brian and Dexter and even kept the ‘thank you for the good blood’ card that Dexter gave him despite the fact that he knew Dexter didn’t know who he was. along with the fact that Brian killed Joe/knew exactly where he was, he might have had some contact with him. but out of the many questions Dexter leaves unanswered about Joe the one that consistently haunts me is why didn’t Joe just take Brian and Dexter after the shipping accident? was he not noted down as Dexter’s or Brian’s birth father on their documents? i know that the answers of these questions won’t be answered though because more recent Dexter media doesn’t even give a fuck about Rita or Laura let alone Joe.
