I'm doing better than I have been, and I can only hope it stays on this momentum. I've got a new job that, while stressful at times, is enjoyable and has good people to work with. I've gotten involved in a new and lovely community as well!

Unfortunately, as said in a previous ask, I don't think I'm going to return to writing for this blog. It's very special to me, and so are all of my followers, and you are all just so sweet! But I've moved past Undertale as a fandom I want to write things for for the time being. IF that changes, you all will be the first to know. But it's been several years, and I've changed as well. It's near and dear to my heart of course, and it always will be, but it's been a lot of time. I'm not sure if there are any fandoms I want to write for right now.

This isn't a bad thing. It just means I'm resting. I promise. <3 That said, this will be the last time I answer questions about returning to writing.

Oh my gosh. Thank you so much, sweetheart. <3 I'm finally doing alright. I've recently signed on to a well-paying job, and I'm going to be moving soon. It means a lot that you've checked in on me like this!

I know that every time I thought things were looking up, they super were not and my return was further delayed. But this time is legit, at least, because I'm going to be making over three times my current pay.

That said, I'm honestly not sure if I'll return to actively writing for this blog. Which isn't a bad thing, I don't think? It's just been quite some time and I've moved on to different fandoms since my first hiatus. ... Considering that was like, 4 years ago, this is natural.

But yeah, I think I'm doing okay. Ever since I signed the work paperwork, I've felt a lot more at ease and given that it's stuck for several days I think it's real. So anyone who feels stuck in a dead end job, or a garbage apartment: it will get better. You'll have to try and sometimes it won't feel like enough. But it will be.

SO HOW ABOUT DELTARUNE

In the elation of there announcement I forgot to give actual details, or explain what this will mean for the blog’s future after over a year of... well, basically nothing. Originally the plan had been ‘get a job, get back to writing’.

My job is simple, but fun and varied- I run free samples at one of the local stores! Usually food-based, but with occasional cosmetics or cleaning supplies thrown in. It’s frequent and about 6 hours a day, not counting travel to and back- with that in mind its more 7 hours woops. 

Beyond that I’ve several projects for another fandom that I’ve been plotting (and one  already started due to a burst of energy that was immediately put on hold for more life things), though I do have a small team for one of them so that shouldn’t be too time consuming. 

I get really tired after work but I’m hoping that’ll pass once I get more used to it (plus I’m gonna start working out more, so maybe that’ll increase my energy once it actually takes effect!) but I wanna do a bit of writing and at least one drawing every day. 

What does that mean for this blog and my projects? Well, my time will be pretty divided, I don’t think this blog will ever be as active as it was in the beginning. But I’m definitely coming back and if you guys are interested, I’ll gladly share my other projects as they come. 

In short: We’re back, baby! I’ve some old asks in the drafts and I’m ready to tackle some more!

Hi! I just started an Undertale headcanons blog called @muffyrus-imagines ! Its based off to Muffyrus, or Muffet x Papyrus ship! Could I please get a promo? Also any advice on running a headcanon blog?

Guys, check it! @muffyrus-imagines looks to be really cute so far!!

And my advice is to set your boundaries and not compromise. People can get a little entitled to your writing sometimes, and it will be VERY annoying- don’t stress! Just put that one aside and focus on other things. 

I know imagines blogs are shared with my readers but ultimately I run mine for me. Not letting people push me around makes the whole experience generally more fun- it’s something you’re sharing with friends, not an obligation. 

EDIT: ALSO!! Please, for your readers... do not use an infinite scroll theme. There is nothing more aggravating!! As a binge reader, I’ve lost my progress countless times trying to catch up with blogs or just read really good ones only for the page to crash because the theme scrolled too far and my browser couldn’t handle it! Themes with pages are your friends!!!!

How would Sans react to his S/O panicking when he goes to propose to them? Like full on crying, hyperventilating, terrified panicking?

Oh jeeze, this was not part of the plan, like, at all. Maybe he should have built up to it or something- nevermind an answer (of course), his first and only goal is making sure you’re okay. Whatever you need, whatever helps you come down from a panic attack, he has ready and waiting for you. 

He will, however, be very reluctant to bring it up again after this.

How does Sans feel about a techie S/O? Like they're constantly improving the gadgets around the house? "Babe please don't use Internet explorer. It's so sad."

Talk nerdy to him. 

No seriously, he loves nerdy scifi stuff… especially when it’s real! 

He can always tell when you’ve upgraded something in the house, and generally he wants to know three things. 1. What did you do? 2. What does the upgrade do? And 3. How does it work? 

He also generally takes your advice on what equipment, software and tech to use, though he’s got his own opinions too. So long as you’re chill, he’d love to hear your side of things and debate this sorta thing with you! 

He’s also a filthy enabler and if you have an idea (that may or may not be as safe as it should be...) you bet your sweet bippy he’s helping. Or making things worse. Which could be the same really.

Undertale Dating Simulator: Why I’m Not Writing or Playing it.

So I imagine that a few people have glanced at this lovely project with interest, as me and a few friends did. The idea of a dating sim that aged up Frisk, Chara and Asriel/Flowey, but still only allowed a friendship route, was awe-inspiring. In fact, two of us were interested enough that we applied to be writers, and surprise of all surprises, we actually got the parts!

And this is how we were writers on a dating sim project for a good half a week before refusing to write for them.

The Frisk/Chara friendship arc plays blatantly on mental health stereotyping to do the same tried and true mental health arc that people know and love: Evil is “illness” and needs to be “cured”.

Honestly, coming into this as a writer, both me and my friend had some really high hopes. The premise they originally had for Frisk and Chara’s arc was not only respectful to the characters, but to the fandom. Think Chara’s evil? They had you covered. Think they’re good? They had you covered. In between? Heck, they had you covered. It didn’t rely on mental health issues AT ALL to make a point, or carry the plot, and abruptly, this changed.

Be respectful of the fact that this plot was “written in a day”, because that’s what you do when people feed you a pile of shit. You be respectful

We were horrified. There was an immense amount of pulling hair and disbelieving laughter as we tried to comprehend how this could go from something so respectful to essentially putting these kids out for the mental health slaughter. Mental health hadn’t come up for this route before. Mental health didn’t need to.

But it just kept getting better.

Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn how much or how little Chara is in the game. The fact that the outline relies on blurring the lines between DID and schizophrenia, and taking the time to remind us that Chara as a character has no real reason to exist outside of being the culmination of someone else’s mental illness, something that can be expunged, is literally disgusting. This is what players will be forced to comply with going down this route. This is what the younger fans of this fandom will be influenced by.

And this is precisely what you’ll be getting. A lovely serve of “haha well I minored in psychology before dropping out so it’s fine” and “well my brother’s wife’s brothers twice removed (WHO HAVE BPD I KNOW PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS) said this was fine so it is”.

I want to make it clear we addressed these concerns. We spoke with them in regards to how this reads, we made very clear what it was that we were not happy with. And call it absolute cynicism, but it was the one chance we were willing to give.

When “handicap” became the official, medical term of the day, well. That’s when we knew it was time to get the fuck out of dodge.

I have been receiving a lot of messages as the one above. Apparently there is a person going around on tumblr, befriending members of the lgbt community who are not yet out to their parents. She then sends their parents letters outing them. (S)he pretends to want to be your pen pal or wants to send you a letter/gift via mail. (S)he will do anything to get your address. Please be careful. I’d really appreciate you guys reblogging this or making a similar post letting your friends/followers know. Just because that person’s blog was deleted doesn’t mean (s)he won’t come back.
