Despite his looks, Shane is actually not of Earthen descent. His parents, like most of those with powers in his universe, were from another galaxy that was under attack when he was shipped off to the place, with little memory of who he is, or used to be. However, he had found out, eventually, that he truly didn’t belong here (like the bullies in the orphanage had told him time and time again) and dropped his idea of wanting to be the hero for everyone.

If one were to speak to him at that time, you’d only hear two, fatal, sentences.

“I got bored of being the hero. So I became the villain!”

        “ How low do you have to sink in order to become an entertainer, anyways? ”

The words rip from his throat in an animalistic growl, the same feeling that the word held within it feeling up the emptiness in his chest. He’s staring, looking over the mechanical masterpiece with something akin to enmity. It’s already bad enough that so many have seen him as human down here -- and now they’ve shown him that they’re unworthy of the materials they have? How vile, how cruel can one be to make something so awful?

        “ It truly ASTOUNDS me, how disgusting this race continues to be. Everyone here is either too afraid to do anything for themselves, or too much of a pushover to think that they have needs as well. So which are you, you metal trainwreck? A fool or a pushover? ”

The faint smell of gasoline is present on Cole, a slight smirk on his face. This guy sure thought he was hot shit, didn’t he?

“Yeah. It brought in some asshole with green eyes.”

Too bad Cole also thought he was hot shit.

        “ Asshole? ”

For some odd reason, the tone of voice he uses when repeating the word is not offended or even mad. No -- it sounds as if he agrees, but wasn’t expecting such audacity. He chuckles, but it sounds more a growl than anything else. ( He can smell the gasoline; it chokes him, drowns him, but as long as it’s not lit -- as long as he doesn’t smell smoke... )

        “ Oh, you flatter me. I’m far worse than an asshole. ”

Looking over the male in front of him, he can’t help but snicker sharply, a sneer scrawled upon almost-perfect features. If he wasn’t who he is, he could almost be the perfect guy for just about everyone.

        “ Well, would you look at what the cat dragged in. ”

Green hues look over the being in front of him, as if judging him for everything he’s ever done without him having said a word. Of course, there’s no way he could do this, even considering who he is, for said hues are covered with shades, shielding them from the harsh sunlight. Bruised fingers raise a half-finished cigarette to his lips, inhaling deeply before exhaling through his nose, hand returning to its place beside him.

    “ What do you want. ”
