This post contains manga spoilers. In this article I would like to explain why I prefer Sohara Mitsuki over Ikaros as a couple partner for Tomoki Sakurai. I'm going to talk about the manga Heavens lost Property (Sora no Otoshimono aka Angeloid. If you don't want to be spoiled, you shouldn't read this article. And you're welcome to have a different opinion about shipping, but please express it in a friendly manner and respectfully. Thank you very much. ~*~ Argumentatively, the first thing that comes to the fore is the relationship between Tomoki and Sohara. The two have been friends since childhood. As a child, Sohara was very seriously ill. Ultimately she died of this and woke up as Daedalus in the synapse.

It was really emotional, because little Tomoki cried for her and is holding her doll, who has a ponytail now. In order not to be forgotten by Tomoki and to be able to be with him at least indirectly, Dädalus created a replica of herself. She was also the one who sent Ikaros to Tomoki. Hoping he would take care of her. Sohara very clearly has feelings for Tomoki, even when she was a child. But she never dared to confess this to him. When she did, however, he was distracted with some breasts. There were many situations in the anime and manga where both would blush because of the other depending on the situation. But what really caught me were Tomoki's parents. Tomoyo, the mother, is very similar in appearance and personality to her son. Tsutsumi, Tomoki's father, on the other hand, is quite similar to Sohara in appearance and personality. Both Sohara and Tsutsumi use a karate chop.

But the strongest argument in favor of Sohara as Tomoki's future wife is the conversation with her father. In this he tells her sutilly that she doesn't need to worry about her love rivals. Tomoki would choose her.

I view the relationship between Tomoki and Ikaros less romantic. It is noticeable that Ikaros is the only female person who is not groped by Tomoki. Apart from Mikako, who would certainly have killed him for that. So I'm assuming he has no sexual interest. In the manga, the Angeloids are seen as chibis along with the names Tomoki gave them. Ikaros was named as a pet. And that's the feeling I get, when I look at her relationship with Tomoki. Throughout the series, Tomoki takes care of Ikaros, as if she were a child who still needs to learn to walk. Ikaros's alienation from the world and her inability to show emotions such as joy contribute to this image of the relationship., When a female person kisses Tomoki, he barely reacts. Neither with Hiyori nor with Ikaros. And Ikaros kissed him twice. An exception would be the scene in which all love rivals are dressed as brides and he has to choose one. However, this scene seems to be filler, because I didn't see it in the manga. In "Eternal my Master", it was not Ikaros who was on a date with Tomoki, but a copy of her, who is called Ikaros Melan.

When Ikaros confesses her love to him, he doesn't react and calls her an idiot. Even if certain wikis claim otherwise. Even after everyone was alive again and the world was restored, Tomoki did not comment on Ikaros's confession of love. I don't remember which chapter it was, but Tomoki mentioned that he would have liked to marry all the women. So Ikaros as well as Sohara and the other Angeloids. ~*~ Personally, I find Tomoki's relationship with Sohara more equal and natural than the one with Ikaros. Especially since Tomoki's parents see that they could work really well as a couple.
