So... I got bored... And this was born.

It's literally just a save where every single one of the Base Game premades are genderbent.

What’s included?

The same amount of sims in the BG but different genders (I made over their outfits, I'm not an animal!);

That's it.

Better Sims 4:

The "A Better Sims 4" save file features premade sims (made by Maxis and available on the gallery) to fill in as both townies and neighbors, as well as all renovated lots!

The idea to make this save file originated from my love of the premades and promotional material sims available on the gallery.

25 Years Ago:

The “25 Years Ago” save file is a team effort that features all our beloved Base Game sims but re-imagined to how they were 25 years ago. It includes lore, cross-family relationships and backstories!

The idea to make this save file started before we even knew about Infants, High School Years or Growing Together.

25 Years Ago: The Save! | RELEASE! |

Sul Sul, simmers!

It’s with great pride that I’m announcing the "25 Years Ago" starter save file!

The idea was to make a save that showed what I thought was The Sims 4 but 25 years ago, in other words, how our beloved Base Game sims lived, who their families were, etc.

The “A Better Sims 4″ starter save file now has a Base Game version!!

I “fixed” the entire Sims 4 and made it a better version of the vanilla game! I went in and renovated every community lot in the Base Game, filled every empty lot with new homes and community lots, gave every sim a makeover, and added over a hundred premade sims (who were created by EA but only available in the gallery)!

What’s included?

Premade Sims created by EA!

Renovated versions of every community and residential lot!

Secret lots!

It’s with great pride that I’m announcing the version 2.0 of the “A Better Sims 4″ starter save file!

I “fixed” the entire Sims 4. I went in and renovated every community lot in the Base Game (and some packs), filled every empty lot with new homes and community lots, gave every sim a makeover and added over a hundred premade sims (who were created by EA but only available in the gallery)!

What’s included?

A whole buncha stuff! New clubs! New secret lots! Renovated versions of every community and residential lot!

What are the requirements?

New packs in bold!

Get to Work EP, Seasons EP, Get Together EP, Dine Out GP, Outdoor Retreat GP, Parenthood GP, Romantic Garden SP are necessary!

If you don’t have all of these you will have naked/missing sims and missing lots!

A Better Sims 4: Holidays!

As I work on version 2.0 of the save (featuring Get Together, Parenthood, Outdoor Retreat and Romantic Garden Stuff), I realized I never revealed my descriptions of the holidays I created in the save!

So... here they are!

SPRING

LOVE DAY : A day where your sims are encouraged to show how much they appreciate each other! It can be between significant others, family members or even friends - what matters is showing love! Take someone on a date or give them a flower - I'm sure they'll appreciate it!

MAYHEM DAY : A day for your sims to be as naughty as they so please! Maybe you have a friend you'd like to prank or maybe you'd like to act out your fantasies of fighting your annoying neighbour who keeps coming over to your house - no problem! This day is for you!

SUMMER

MUSIC FESTIVAL : We know, it's hot and sunny outside and here you are, stuck at work! Maybe you just want an opportunity to skip work and go downtown and watch a concert at your favourite lounge and maybe get a bit juiced - well the Music Festival is in town so you don't have to call in sick ;)

MIDSUMMER NIGHT : Nothing says "Summer" quite like water baloons and a barbecue! Invite over some friends and have fun drinking and swimming to beat off that scorching sun!

AUTUMN

SPOOKY DAY : Are Supernatural Sims your favourite? Or maybe you just really like scaring people and making them give you candy? Well, then put on your best costume and get ready to go Trick or Treating!

REMEMBERANCE DAY : Not all days can be joyful... Maybe you lost a significant other recently... Or your pet ran away. We encourage you to remember them - tell stories, attend ceremonies and let your heart breathe. It'll get better.

WINTER

WINTER PREP DAY : Winter has come and with it, out come the old boxes full of dusty, winter decorations from the attic! We have to get ready for the festive days! Time to clean, organize and start decorating!

GIFT DAY : It's the first big winter festivity! How wonderful! It's the most generous time of the year... not! Your sims can't wait to see what you got them and of course, to eat grandma's famous roast! Maybe you'll even get some more - magical - gifts!

NEW YEAR’S EVE : The New Year is soon to come! Time for your sims to start preparing, making resolutions and dusting off their party outfits for a night out on the town! Don't forget about the countdown to midnight!

21 brand new lots

144 new households (totalling 198 new sims)

Renovated versions of every pre-existing residential/community lot

What are the requirements?

Get to Work EP, Seasons EP and Dine Out GP are necessary

The “Better Sims 4″ Save File: a sneak peek!

As I put on the finishing touches on the save file, I figured I could share a few of my fave instances of the making of - establishing relationships and taking a whole bunch of photographs!

As a reminder: ALL of the sims included in this save are 1 of 3 things:

1 - Pre-existing townies;

2 - Premade Sims available in the Gallery (and normally used in the promotional materials for the game)

3 - Sims used in game renders and other pictures of the sorts!

You have no idea how many sims EA has actually created for promo pictures and renders and didn’t inclue in game! There’s easily +150 of them!!!!

Knowing that... can you recognize all the sims in these wedding pictures?

SAVE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey fellow Simmers! How are you all doing? Good? I hope you are!

Well here goes: I have ranted a couple of times about the emptiness of the game and although I can't fix many of the games other (more pressing) problems, I thought to myself: “I can try to fix this emptiness!”

I’ve always wondered what it would be like if The Sims 4 had shipped into the market with a more complete game, more Sims and more game features! And now, 7 years after its release, after various updates, I can try and make it happen! I can try and make that vision come true and give simmers all around the globe a better and more updated version of the game, The Sims 4 we should’ve gotten, The Sims 4 we deserved back on release date!

Which is why I’m officially announcing my very own save file:

                          A Better Sims 4: The Save

This save file is something that I’ve been working on and off for about nine months now and something I hold very close to my heart as I’ve been trying my hardest to make it work (through a lot of problems, mind you)!

Unlike the other amazing save files released by other super cool and super talented simmers (like plumbella, lilsimsie and simlicy, to name a few) that have created their own original families and stories; my save will only feature sims that we’ve all seen before - premade sims created by EA and used in the promotional materials for The Sims 4! It will also respect the lore and backstories that they come with, isn't that cool? (Please act like this is impressive, I researched very hard for this ;-;)

Some Infomation about its release: - I still don’t know WHEN I will be releasing it but it’ll be sometime in the near future; - The first release will only use the following packs: BG + Get to Work + Seasons + Dine Out; - It will feature renovated versions of many lots; - All sims will have careers, skills and preferences that fit the narrative and their bios.

I will be updating both this blog and my main as well as my Twitter ( @Simmer_Ikea ) quite often talking about this save! Check them for updates (and also because I’m very funny).
