Silent Pines, 1998

Hey everyone! Welcome to Silent Pines, a base-game save file consisting of the 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.

While I'm still working on it, I wanted to share what I have of Silent Pines so far. The world consists of;

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've been decorating all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used. There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required. For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances you might see in Silent Pines;

Silent Pines is heavily inspired by Life is Strange, the Windbrook save file, florwalsims' Portsim save file, as well as the hazy nostalgia of the late 90s and early 2000s. I'll update you all as I finish builds, and I hope I can get the first version of Silent Pines up soon!

Streamlet Single

This move-in-ready home is waiting for its new owner! Ignore the gremlins and the used carpet, and this affordable house is what dreams are made of.

My starter houses will always include the basic furnishings that most homes will include in the real world (counters, appliances, light switches, etc.). Once a sim moves in, their personalized furniture can then be added.

Was in mood for some new eye defaults, so I've created some! These here are inspired & based on my Irene eyes, with a bunch of tweaks and changes to make them more expressive, cartoon-y, less muted, and matching to the original game's aesthetic.

Features a clear, gameplay-friendly sclera.

58 colors (base 18 ones + my own palette of 40)

💡 Tips for a succesfull dinner experience

I don't even have to ask, cause I KNOW we've all been there. It's holiday time at your household and you're trying to seat all the sims, let them eat, and talk to each other at the same time.

Before you know, it's a whole goddamn mess! Sims are standing up, one is eating way faster than the other, they are switching seats etc. And all we wanted was to just take some nice dinner screenshots 🥲

Yesterday I was finally able to have all my sims seated, talk and eat and drink at the same time WITHOUT ANYONE EVER STANDING UP. I could not believe my achievement so I decided to share it with you so this nightmarre can finally end for you too!

2 required mods: 1. Ask to eat and more 2. Steady Sit & Seat Any Sim

Extra, not necessary: 1. Improved Spa Day Tablet (to be able to buy drinks from the spa day tabled) 2. High Chair Lock (so the sims won't autonomously stand up to pick up infants/toddlers from the high chair)

Instructions:

Make your sim cook dinner. After click on the dish and select "Pick a serving". Do this as many times as many servings they are (or how many sims will join dinner atleast). You should have multiple servings of the same dish in your sims inventory. extra: you can use the Spa Drink Tray together with the Improved Spa Day Tablet mod to buy drinks. Buy the wished drink and put the drinks servings also in your sims inventory.

Seat all sims using the "Seat sims here..." interaction from the Steady Sit mod. extra: put infants/toddlers in the high chair and select "Disable pick-up"

Direct sims to talk to each other (most will do this already autonomously.

Place a dinner serving (extra: and a drink serving) MANUALLY (so dragging from the inventory to the table slot) in front of the sims.

Click on the dinner serving and select "Ask to eat..." and select the sim in front of the serving. Same can be done to the drinks. - you have to do this for every non-played sim. if you have for example 3 played sims and 3 non-played I advise to let each played sim ask another other to drink. (if you just let one sim ask everybody, it will take a really long time cause the ask animation has to play every time)

When you've asked every non-played sim to eat and drink, direct your own sims to eat and drink.

Important: it is very important you place the individual servings and ask the sims to eat. The reason why we don't just put the big serving on the table and choose "Call to Meal" is because sims will still stand up to grab the food and sit somewhere else, even with the Steady Sit mod (atleast in my case).

SLASHED A 12 Day Spooky Season CAS Challenge 🩸💀

Hi friends! It's getting closer to one of my favorite holidays, and I thought I'd make a CAS challenge to help bring in the spooky season. I've had this challenge in mind for a while, and now is the perfect time for it. I love slasher films, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, you name it. So, that's the theme of this CAS challenge. No rules, these are your slasher film characters. Just share, tag me (I'd love to see), and have fun!

Character Glossary

The Final Girl

Usually the one that survives the onslaught, they give the killer a run for their money

The Jock

A douche. They’re arrogant, irresponsible, and usually one of the ones to die first.

The Bad Girl

Flirtatious, sexy, and catty to a fault. Usually stuck up. They mean well, but ultimately cares only for themselves.

The Outcast

Responsible and level-headed, they're often perceived as a "Debby Downwer".

The Academic

Nerdy, kind-hearted, and loyal. They're either finding clever ways to outwit the killer or making the cast easy prey - by accident of course.

The Sacrifice/The Fool

We care about them, they’re funny and relatable. Usually ridiculed by The Jock and The Bad Girl. As much as we care about them, they typically die a gruesome death, ultimately warning the others of just what kind of danger their in.

The Skeptic

“See it to believe it” is their motto, and by then it's usually too late.

The Meddler

If there's a demonic ritualistic book locked by key, they're usually going to find a way to pry it open. Everyone suffers because of them, everyone.

The Harbinger

A creepy old person usually warning the main cast to stay far away from whatever impending danger they seem to be crashing into.

The Detective

Thinks they know best, and the main cast hates them for this. They're always poking around, checking things out. Typically they're a blessing to The Final Girl, helping best the killer, or a curse, in which you're happy to see them die.

The Hunter

Knows the killer's weakness and the best way to beat them. The Final Girl typically teams up with them to finally nail the killer. Usually, they're considered the other final character to survive.

The Killer

Iconic. The bringer of doom. It gives them pleasure to pick of the cast, reveling in their own cat and mouse game. No matter their backstory, it always leads to slaughter in the end.
