There was a weird inventory/shipping issue with one of the pages we sold that needed a little extra work, so I did a little drawing of the buyer’s favorite character as an apology ^w^
The first batch of pages are in the mail! More to go out in Monday…

Our online store is now LIVE! Check it out: https://riessgoettercomics.bigcartel.com
Between vet costs for Tilly (who's doing so much better now thankfully) and dental surgery for Natalie, even just sharing the link around is much appreciated.
#warriors graphic novel#original art#still wiped out from tooth surgery today but happy to see pages going out to folks 💖

Sara and I are going to be selling some more original inks this week- more info to come soon!
I was hoping to hang onto more of these for selling in-person or doing more charity auctions, but our cat had a pretty rough health scare this past weekend (recovering now ✨🤞) so we’re selling a bunch now.
I’m also getting my wisdom teeth out this week, so I won’t be as good about posting; Sara’s handling the bulk of this and her bluesky is probably the first place she’ll post with more info/updates.
A little preview of some of the book 2 pages I pulled out for this sale under the cut…..

A peek into some non-comics work I’ve been doing ^w^

I’ve been doing t-shirt artwork for a friend’s local indie wrestling group for the past few shows and it’s FUN!!!! I love doing goofy work like this for a local audience. It's really rewarding to go to shows and see people wearing my art! Learning to work within the limitations of 2 color screenprint has been SO much fun too, and I'd love to do more in the future.
Speaking of which, I have a shirt design going up this week with the screen printing shop we normally order the wrestling shirts from ( Raw Paw ). Here's a snippet of the design I entered...

Another Warriors release, another secret jacket cover illustration! You might be sensing a theme for these so far... : 3
Process shots and rambling under the cut!
I had a really strong mental image for this one going in (bright pink and orange flame to contrast with the bright blue normal cover), so I think I only sent in the one (fairly involved) thumbnail sketch. Color is a big part of how I work, so I like coloring my roughs.
After we got approval to move forward, I cleaned up the digital sketch and passed that off to Sara, who "inked" with a chunky graphite pencil for that extra crunchy storybook texture. This gets scanned in, tidied up a bit and painted digitally.
I loooove how this one came out...Sara and I draw comics all the time but illustration feels like something different. It's nice to get to flex a little and have some fun.

Signing schedule for this weekend! Check the websites for each store for more info on these events.
The response so far has been amazing!!! Huge thanks to everyone at Harper Alley who made this book actually happen, to Erin Hunter for trusting me and Sara with her story and to you for reading!
I was too distracted last year, but I want to try and keep a tally of how many books we sign this weekend…

Warriors volume 2 is OUT!!! Sara and I stopped in at a local Barnes and Noble today to get shelf pics and sign some stock- see below the cut for some favorites (very baby Cloudkit-heavy, because he is one of my favorites)
We will be doing capital-S Signings this Thursday at Book People in Austin and at a few other B&N stores in Texas- still waiting to hear back on exactly which ones, but we will keep you posted!

Does anyone know if they eat crayfish in RiverClan? Apparently they can be found in the UK, so it could be possible…either way, I made myself hungry for shrimp drawing this!
Ink with watercolor (and a tiiiiiny bit of colored pencil)
