It's fun that they keep some sort of convention between Clavis's familly members : Irene/Irina is from Greek and means "peace". Laetitia is from both Latin and Arabian origin and mean "joy". Both are things Clavis wants to protect and spread. And you know what Clavis means ? In Old French, it meant something like "lock" (that's from there that the French word "clefs" meaning "key" came from). I don't know is it's on purpose (although I wouldn't be surprised if it is, considering the names they give to other characters aka Coraline, Jin's mother wich means "coral", in reference to the red colors of both the King and Jin's eyes, or Cyran wich comes from Greek and means "master", a direct reference to Cyran statuts of Clavis's servant) but I thought it was a neat detail.

Clavis's grandmother's name is Irena (イレーナ)

Trapped

“This was a spectacularly bad plan.”

Cyran’s laughter only increases at Clavis’ struggles, holding his stomach as he looks up at Clavis, stuck in a tree trapped in one of his own net traps. “Oh, I don’t know,” he says, managing to speak through his laughter. “This might be your funniest incident yet.”

Clavis frowns.

“I see, my dear Cyran wants his pay cut.”

“Cut my pay all you want, the laugh is worth it.”

Clavis sighs deeply, pouting as his eyes move to Emma.

“Well, my fetching fiancée, a little help would be great.”

“Oh-” Emma starts, looking confused. “It’s just… how? You never get caught by your own traps.”

She had to admit, it was kind of funny, but she was more worried than anything. If it had been dangerous she knew Cyran wouldn’t be so laid back about it, but… is he overworking himself? Is that why he got caught? “Clavis,” she murmurs. “Is everything okay?”

“Haha! Everything is peachy, my dearest. Ah you love me so much to free me and not laugh at me.”

“I’m serious,” she murmurs, accepting Cyran’s help to lift her up enough to free the net. Clavis works himself free from that, rubbing his wrists and sighing as he stares at the branch he’d been hung from. “You’re freezing!” she says quickly once she grabs his hand. “How long were you there for?”

“Um-” Clavis frowns.

Truthfully it hadn’t been long-

“It’s really nothing to worry about, you see, I heard rumours of a strange creature coming out at night, so I set a trap.”

Her eyebrows raise in disbelief. “For a strange creature?”

“Yes, haha! Isn’t it exciting? But I set the trap at night-” Cyran sighs beside Emma, holding his face in his hands. “So I wasn’t quite sure where I’d set it, and well….”

She’s not entirely sure she believes it. “Is that really it?”

“Would I lie to you?”

“Yes,” she replies flatly, dodging his arms as they come towards her. “You’re overworking yourself!”

“You’ve done it this time,” Cyran snickers, leaning back against the tree.

“Ah you love me just so much.”

“Clavis-” she huffs. “Swear to me you’ll take a break soon.”

“Oh I see,” he nods, a sly smile on his lips. “You miss me right? You want to spend the entire day with me.”

“If it gets you to rest, yes.”

Clavis goes silent, staring at her with wide eyes and a dumbstruck look on his face, before he bursts into laughter. “Well, see, there was no harm done.”

“You’re still freezing. I’m going to run you a bath.”

“But-”

“No buts!”

Cyran shakes his head approaching Clavis’ side as Emma stalks off towards their residence. “You might want to go along with it, if she worries much more I’ll tell her the truth.”

“And what truth might that be?”

“That you walked into it yourself to stop her triggering it by accident.”

The prince has no reply, his eyes fixed on the slowly vanishing figure of Emma. He misses her already.

“Why didn’t you just tell her?”

Clavis shrugs, golden eyes now moving to his closest friend. “If she falls for me any harder her heart will fail, haha!”

“Uh huh, weirdo,” Cyran sighs, already having seen through his ridiculous façade. “Just admit you didn’t want her to feel guilty.”

“Must you expose all of my secrets?”

Still, Clavis sighs and follows her into the house. Already he can hear the tell-tale sign of the tub being filled, and he has to admit being taken care of by her sends warmth rushing through him. He prefers to be the one looking after her, the one she relies on, yet there’s something about this — as he approaches the bathroom, how she stands up, her forearms wet from testing the temperature, her hair slightly out of place and pure concentration on her face. All of this is for him.

Just for him, not for anyone else.

Clavis walks up behind her, arms slinking around her waist. He notes she doesn’t jump and laughs to himself. “I need to find new ways to surprise you.”

Emma shakes her head, relaxing in his embrace. She can feel how cold he is through her clothes and shivers slightly. “I’ll get you a hot drink, too.”

“I’d much rather you stayed and washed my back.”

Her eyebrows shoot up, cheeks turning a vivid pink which only makes his lips curl up into a sly smirk. He finds a spot on her neck to kiss, one which will have her be putty in his hands in moments, unable to deny such an innocent request.

“I can wash your hair,” he whispers, hands trailing down to squeeze her thighs.

“That’s not my hair.”

“Mm, that’s right,” he purrs. “But we should bathe together. Save water.”

“How conscientious of you.”

“Isn’t it?” he laughs. “Have you fallen for me all over again?”

“Clavis-” she turns in his arms, pressing her forehead against his before he can nip at her skin. She doesn’t need any more encouragement, if she was honest, she’d wanted to enjoy a nice warm bath with him when she’d suggested running him one, she’d just been too shy to suggest it- “I fall for you more every single day.”

A warm blush spreads against his cheeks causing Emma to grin. Taking advantage of his surprise, she steals a quick kiss from his lips and turns back to the bath. “So, are you going to help me undress?”

“My dear, I thought you’d never ask.”

I don't know about all of you, but since hearing about the game and that there would be no new content, I have found myself not playing the game at all. Because for me, I just felt that there wasn't anypoint and felt really discouraged anytime I would think about it.

But now, I'm feeling a bit more hopeful having found that the fandom doesn't want to give this up without a fight. So again, please check out the petition in the link provided from twitter!!

My French ass had to speak cause it’s weird to me

So I see some people using “Le Comte” as if it was Saint-Germain first name...

It is NOT!!! It’s a nobility title and is gramatically a noun !!! “Comte” means “earl” in French. As for “le” it is something we call a determinant (yes it’s it gramaticall name and as far as I know, it’s not something that exist in English thus why I use the French word). A determinant is here to define the noun : in here the determinant is “le” cause “comte” it’s masculine and singular. If Saint-Germain was a woman she would be “la comtesse de Saint-Germain”.

Also it is written as “Saint-Germain” the little “ - “ means that it’s a unit because if you write it “Saint Germain” it means you’re speaking about a saint whose name is Germain.

The historical figure of Saint-Germain never had a first name mention (as far as I know) because it is ambigous to know if he ever existed. He is suppose to be one of the famous French alchemist and he inspired a lot of legends and books, one of the most famous (at least in France) being “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas. 

Thus why Ikevamp Saint-Germain does not have a first name but only his nobility title.

There is of course no need for anyone to change anything because I’msure people who doesn’t speak French aren’t bother by that, but I do admit that as a French it does weird me out a bit.

Like I know Dalim’s popular and I’m sure it could be very interesting lore-wise but it makes me a bit worried...Will we ever get Blanc’s route ? 

On one hand, I suppose Cybrid wants to release it last because it’ll probably answer some questions we have remaining from the other stories (why did the armies split ? What was the purpose of the forgotten castle in the middle of the forest ? What happened between Alice the First and Blanc ? Is Amon Blanc’s and Alice I’s son ?) but on the other hand it’s already been 5 years since we start waiting....

Anyway, still exited for Dalim’s route tho, probably going to spoil myself by reading the translation and review in here lol

hi im making a separate post. i apologize if this comes off as emotional because tbh im really scared right now and im shaking as im typing this. im a black nonbinary lesbian that's been planning to move out since earlier this year. however, my mom just cut me off permanently because apparently she'd rather play victim and gaslight me for daring to call her out on the way she's treated me than apologize like an adult. this has gotten to the point of her driving recklessly while im in the car, either as an intimidation tactic or a way to seriously injure me. i really need to get out of here as soon as possible. i feel unsafe and i'm not sure what she's going to do to next. please help me move both myself and my cat so we can be at peace. i really need to be out of here as soon as possible.

literally most things that people write off as just ‘textures’ to use in graphics are stolen & unsourced material created by artists or photographers NOT meant to be used as elements in projects without royalty payments. you can say ‘it’s just random tumblr posts they don’t care’ but you wouldn’t want someone to take your work and edit into their work so they can be praised for their beautiful style and creativity even if they just post it on social media w/o profit, would you?? so maybe if you browse pinterest or google images for pictures without finding the original source, you’re using images that you’re not allowed to use without realizing it.

you see it on here a lot especially in (i won’t link anything but i’m sure you know what i mean) those album track ‘aesthetics’ posts, au ‘aesthetic’ posts (you see these less in kpop, but where people use non-royalty free images to kinda craft a visual au), and even just rather typical graphics that have a lot of ‘texture’ elements. and texture packs too!! that’s often where the problem starts; people just collect images (often literal art), compile them in a folder w/o sources, then insist no one can repost those images w/o crediting the person who compiled them. what???

SO may i suggest some of my fave places you can get FREE, ROYALTY-FREE elements that are totally legal to use
