If legion of the damned Ferrus actually fully came back Fulgrim finding out would absolutely gather the emperor’s children lead them recklessly to hunt down Ferrus and he would probably put him in something like that giant lantern thing in adventure time for flame princess and immediately after Fulgrim nabs Ferrus. He literally abandons his sons once more going back to Callax.

Just taunting and teasing Ferrus and much like a actual snake using using legion of the damned Ferrus like a heat lamp, wrapping around the lantern to stay warm and literally have Ferrus in arm's reach, never going far from Ferrus if he’ll one day disappear. The daemon primarch will on occasion alone with Ferrus hug him and weep even if Ferrus burns or punches him it doesn’t bother him much…him giving apologies only loud enough for Ferrus to hear…rarely getting Ferrus to just actually hug back and talk to him even if Fulgrim knows he refuses to talk to him… Fulgrim craves those small moments of getting hugged back…

Hot take: Perturabo should, in fact, Come Back in 40k. He just doesn't do anything. Instead, he chills out and plays with his minis. Like every so often there's this big build up to a Chaos character getting to meet Perturabo The Daemon Primarch, and then instead of a major plot beat he tells them to either play a round or fuck off. Yes, I know this already happened with Honsou, I am saying that it should happen more often. I think it would be great if in the middle of all the sturm und drang of 40k, with everything getting ratcheted up a notch, there's just this one very important and powerful dude who has zero interest in getting involved. He just chills and plays with his minis. He's out of the Long War. He's free.
