I haven’t even thought about Green Day in a long ass time, idk why this happened

Had a dream that Billie Joe from Green Day was visiting this random dude who was like in his 40s celebrating his birthday and he’s like “I’ve got something that will make you happy. Come see.” And he took the guy outside and showed him all these Christmas lights and decorations he (Billie) had put up on/around this guy’s house and yard as a prank. It was July. And Billie Joe just started cracking up laughing and wheezing and the birthday guy’s mouth is just open in confused disbelief and there’s a neighbor looking at him kinda funny from the next yard

I’ve been trying to write lately and I can’t seem to get a story off the ground. I don’t have any good ideas. I can’t get myself to care about my characters. I get stuck trying to describe stuff even in basic ways. I write 200 words and I feel like I just ran a mental 10k. Then I just delete everything. I’ve even tried writing about a character who can’t write and I just get bored with it.

How did I use to write all the time when I was younger? Why is it so goddamn hard now? At least I’m trying.
