Tumblr hiatus

Hello! I’m taking a hiatus (maybe permanently) from the platform, and will henceforth only post on twitter/DA. You can find me under ili104 (DA) or ili_104 (Twitter) if you want to still get updates with my paintings. I’m not closing down the tumblr but keeping it up as a historic relic, and something to go back to if all other platforms crash. Thank you for your understanding.

Except for in the original trilogy, I've always been loyal to fire starters. Not enough of a rebel to pick Charmander when my parents gave me Pokémon Blue.

Lady sketch. I've been playing through dmc  1-4 (& the remake) in order the last few weeks. Dmc is one of those series that have always been on my radar but that I had never touched. Good games, still hold up.  Next up is DMC5!

Two months with no upload is a long time. I've been doing sketches and practicing meanwhile, but truth to be told work has been eating up most of my time. Quite happy with this one though.

Welcome back Anna. I'm slowly but surely shaking off the rust.

Blue ribbon. Back home after a couple of weeks in Japan. The plan was to sketch outside but the weather wouldn't allow it. The colours (except for the strong blues) were all picked from a photo I took while on the plane.

First upload in a month? Life has been all sorts of hectic lately, so whatever time I’ve had left I’ve been studying (values, anatomy, balance mainly). 

This was an organic painting that just grew out of a sketch I had done. Glad to finally upload something.

Kunimitsu from Tekken. Based it on her design in TTT2. Really should’ve separated all the layers but alas I didn’t, se ended up repainting every area a bunch of times. Focused on getting the value relationship and warmth right.

Hello again. I've been suffering from a bit of an art block lately, probably caused by a mix of work fatigue and lacking the time in general to produce. These come in cycles though, and in general the best remedy is to just be stubborn and continue to try.

Anyway, I based this on her tekken4 prologue. A cool character with a fighting style that's still missing in T7.
