Close up of my #dnd characters ‘info page’ I did for a journal I got for her.
She is beauty, she is grace. She has barnacles on her face.

Wide view of my #dnd wizards journal. With maps made ‘ic’ in the background.
The party would get lost without her / me.
The backside of her character sheet started to get messy. So I got a notebook.

Bockstensmanen, a medieval person who happened to die in a bog which preserved his clothes (and more), clothes like hella comfy??
Like seriously. Comfy and warm wool clothes!
(yes this are pictures of his actual outfit, not reconstructed clothing. They were very well preserved in all except colour. The bog gave everything that yellow shade, i suspect)
Picture from: https://www.museumhalland.se/bockstensmannen/kladerna/

Research has shown that pleasure affects nutrient absorption. In a 1970s study of Swedish and Thai women, it was found that when the Thai women were eating their own (preferred) cuisine, they absorbed about 50% more iron from the meal than they did from eating the unfamiliar Swedish food. And the same was true in the reverse for the Swedish women. When both groups were split internally and one group given a paste made from the exact same meal and the other was given the meal itself, those eating the paste absorbed 70% less iron than those eating the food in its normal state.
Pleasure affects our metabolic pathways; it’s a facet of the complex gut-brain connection. If you’re eating foods you don’t like because you think it’s healthy, it’s not actually doing your body much good (it’s also unsustainable, we’re pleasure-seeking creatures). Eat food you enjoy, it’s a win-win.

The thing about the back carry thing for me is: why not have a hole cut so that the blade can come out after you’ve pulled it out straight like usual? I mean, look at the long sword design for monster hunter world. It’s absurdly large (but what isn’t in that game), but it displays what I’m talking about perfectly, at least in the case of the bone shotel. I hope you’ll point out anything wrong with my observation
I have no idea about MHW, I’ afraid, so cannot judge.
But if you mean something like this…
I mean, technically if you wanted to do it that way, you could. But it’s still putting your sword out of easy reach, drawing it requires being widely open to attack, and doesn’t allow you to make an effective fast attack from a normal stance and position as opposed to the hip draw or shouldering position.
