it's very weird being in a place where i feel like my concept of a home is fading away with every thought i give it. here doesn't feel like home but paradoxically it's making melb and tas feel less like it too... i'll visit some places in europe and be like wow i'd love to live here for a while, but realistically it wouldn't work out and i'd just be delaying my inevitable return. an old mate of mine invited me to work with him as a somm in the seychelles... what a weird life that'd be?? but likely i'll end up following S back to melb and then hobart because that works best for her work. i'm not mad about that (and have communicated that, in the future, i'd like to do short-term travel for work if that opportunity arises) but it's hard not to get a little bit fidgety about it
