Just looking back at some of this person's content. Weird to me that they say in another place that they know nothing about Korean culture, but feel like they can speak on a shirt that deals specifically with a situation directly related to Korea and Korea's independence/history with Japan.
But then again they also say they are not an anti, while at the same time calling Jimin an alcoholic attention whore with little talent and a face full of plastic surgery? Sure sounds like an anti to me but what do I know right?
Tumblr media
I think criticism is fair- but criticizing jimin for wearing that shirt but defending yoongi for using that sample is fucked- especially if the people of said group it’s targeting are upset you know? I know plenty of black fans who were (rightly) upset by that inclusion
I have discussed my reasons for my criticism and lack of criticism regarding these two situations so many times. I’m so tired of having to re-justify my thoughts over and over and over again.
This post is the post I will link to every time I get a question about this in the future.
First of all, “You can’t criticize whomever without criticizing whomever too” or “But Namjoon!” or “How dare you criticize one member but not another” are really stupid things to say and think. Person A is going to behave differently from Person B. Person A is going to do something that is far more impactful in a negative way than Person B. Sometimes Person B is better behaved that Person A. In other words, some people are assholes and some people are nice. No two people are the same and that’s how the world works.
So why are insensitive behaviors different from art/creative expression?
What Jimin did was insensitive. He chose to wear something that was NOT his own creation, that represented a high level of disrespect toward the victims of a horrific act of war. These are people who didn’t just die, they were burned alive, or if they were on the outer rim of the blasts, they were stabbed to death by flying glass or simply blown apart. If that didn’t kill people, they later died from radiation poisoning. It astounds me that people can’t grasp this severity.
Is Jimin an asshole? Not necessarily, but he did behave like one.
Art/creative expression is not the same in this instance. Why? Because you don’t tell someone what they can and cannot do with their art. Censoring art or controlling art, stops it from being art. It is destructive and it is wrong to attack Yoongi, or any other musician for using a Jim Jones sample or any other sample simply because you don’t like that he did it or felt a certain way about it.
You have the right to have feelings, you have the right to constructively criticize art or even dislike it, but you do not have the right to censor it.
The black fans who were upset had the right to feel the way they felt, however, how many of those fans were just going along with what other people were saying? I have to remind you that in black culture, many of us tend to attack other blacks for not agreeing with the masses. A lot of blacks will say they feel something or agree with something, due to peer pressure, not because it’s actually how they feel. I know this because (A) I’m black and grew up in black culture and (B) because I have experienced plenty of times in my life when I didn’t agree with a large percentage of blacks and was shamed for it.
People go out of their way to make other people feel like they aren’t black enough. Like they’ve abandoned their blackness. That’s why when I see thousands of blacks suddenly outraged at something, I take a step back and examine all the facts before jumping in the bandwagon.
Being black doesn’t give me license to shit on other people. Or equally as bad, tweet Black Lives Matter all day then attack other black people because they don’t feel the same way as me.
As an artist, I approach art differently because my philosophies are different, but also RIGHT. When it comes to ART, my thoughts on this are RIGHTER than yours. They just are. You can hate me for saying that, but obviously I don’t give a fuck. Yoongi wanted that sample there, he wanted it for a reason. I know Big Hit said it was “meaningless”, but they had to say that to get people to shut up about it.
“But I bet you’d want Namjoon to get censored!”
No, I wouldn’t. What pissed me off as well about Yoongi’s situation, was that Namjoon’s solo song Joke received HUGE backlash for misogyny but it was NEVER censored. I’m not saying he should be censored. What I’m saying is that Big Hit should have given Yoongi the same respect for his art, that they gave to Namjoon. It is so sick for Bang PD to tell Yoongi he can do what he wants with his music, then punish him for doing what he wants with his music.
If you’ve ever heard Supreme Boi’s song, Photoshop, it is the definition of misogyny. I won’t listen to it. But I have never said he shouldn’t make that music. Big Hit never censored him, either, and the amount of backlash he’s gotten over the years makes me shocked that he’s still with Big Hit. Again, Big Hit will put up with him, but come after Yoongi?
In closing, one other thing I need to bring up is there are a huge portion of fans who KNEW about the Jim Jones sample last year from a Vlive Yoongi did. THEY KNEW ABOUT IT. There was ZERO outrage back then, but his mixtape charts and people start going crazy? Do you see the bullshit that I see?
I’m not going to answer questions about this post, or write elaborate posts about this topic again. It’s time to move on.

The anount of fckery here. Yoongi speculation somehow translates into jm bashing (and that's what it is. Anyone with a brain can see that).
You don't know any of them and the reaching that you are doing here makes me wonder of you did any warm ups first
Any idea why it's always Jimin who called him and not Jhope or someone else ? In today's run episode Jimin called him and asked him to read their fairytales. Suga was so nice and immediately said yes.
This will be a very unpopular opinion but...
I think Jimin feeds into the Yoonmin ship at this point to be like "See, look at me, I'm calling Yoongi like everything is okay". I get this vibe that something is different between them versus a few years ago.
They're close. They joke around with each other. However, as other anon have said to me in the past and I agree, Yoongi seems to have an established boundary line with Jimin.
A long time ago, Yoongi and Jimin would share a hotel room, bed, space, and be very comfortable with that. They don't really do that anymore. During In the Soop, Yoongi avoided Jimin when JM wanted to share a room with him.
It makes me wonder what Jimin did to make Yoongi put this strict boundary line between them. Jimin doesn't come across as emotionally stable. He's a heavy drinker (I made a huge post a while back regarding Yoongi's relationship with alcohol), he's constantly seeking attention (just watch him in front of a camera or mirror), and he is way too touchy. Yoongi doesn't exactly have the easiest history with his own mental health, so a person with problematic behavior isn't good for him to be around and I'm sure he knows that.
As far as why the other band members don't call Yoongi... Hoseok borderline dotes over Yoongi by supporting his music, holding his hand, and in general being in his company. Same goes for the other members. They have solid relationships with Yoongi, and the Yoonmin friendship seems more shallow these days.

Do these people know that Jimin deadass bought a BUILDING awhile ago? Do they know that real estate is a really smart investment, especially in Seoul? Do they know that it takes a while to purchase real estate? Do they know that this is peak pathetic behavior?
This is why I can't handle these anon asks like stop
Jimin and Namjoon bought the apartments in Nine One Hannam complex almost at the same time. Now it’s clear why we didn’t see jikook sharing cars for the past several months. They don’t live together anymore unfortunately. I think they did live together for some time in 2020 but got separated for some reason (maybe they didn’t like to live together as pair or Jimin as a friend stayed at JK’s apartments before waiting for purchasing the real estate) By the way the dorm rent expired yesterday 31 May so we won’t see the dorm too anymore.
Dear anon, is this a joke? Are you serious with this ask?
If yes, then I'm sad to inform you that your theories utter nonsense. Sorry for being blunt, but that's that.
The apartment was bought a couple of months ago, and ownership has been received only 4 days ago!!!
So please explain to me how that makes it clear they haven't been sharing a car "for the past several months" (and where you came up with that piece of information I really don't know).
The rest of your theory, really? Again, are you actually serious here?

Why is it when the boys reveal their forehead it looks so hot, I mean it's not a erogenous zone or anything but it's just so sexy
you can actually explain this with visual/perception psychology and i’ll expand on how if you’re interested. ✍️
the secret: it’s 0% about the forehead. utterly and completely zero. big surprise, it’s the brows. and: also about the lips as the actual erogenous zone at play which i’ll talk about further down the analysis.
so, brow reveal. what happens. everything becomes more expressive and recognizable. your gaze is pulled toward the eyes rather than the sides of the face. so far so good and simple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they’re a great visual anchor, result: you spend more time looking at the person. mere exposure phenomenon: the more you’re presented with something, the more you develop affinity. exception: you have strong pre-existing bias which would be reinforced to an even greater extreme. but other than that, believe it or not: brows will make you feel more positively about the person.
how much they convey health as a sexual indicator is an undecided topic and i find most research around that dubious, but there are studies how they’re very important for attractiveness especially when they are thicker. which goes without saying, it shows good hair growth which again reflects back to the person’s health seen as attractive since it feels secure to be with them. with the brows concealed, that pointer is missing.
also: brows convey macro-/microexpressions. you can read them accurately without bangs, so the person becomes more ‘transparent’ aka more inviting. you can gauge the entire outline of the face, too, so that openness is another bonus and also reveals the entirety of their emotional stance. bangs keep you wondering and convey distrust even if ironically, the idol often looks cuter with them, while with brows you see a more edgy slant.
Tumblr media
now here comes an even more important factor if we stick to how eyes play a role. seemingly it’s mostly idols who cause a lot of excitement when they show their forehead, or they started/polarized that fandom trend at least. it’s a continuous staple for fans to get wowed again and again. think about it... all south korean idols have brown eyes. and black hair. that’s why there’s an even stronger visual anchor because of how much contrast they create.
Tumblr media
so if your gaze is directed upward once the hair is pushed back, the eyes magnify that effect. they reveal the golden ratio that most kpop stars have in their facial proportions so that’s jackpot basically. the idols famous for their forehead looks all have extremely dark eyes and proportions that only wait to be shown. makeup amplifies that effect so it’s a triple threat. look how much clarity and proportion it gives the face.
Tumblr media
that’s why i say you actually do not look at the forehead first. you look at the T-zone (brow to brow or eye to eye, nose to chin) which humans naturally and universally do to perceive faces. in psychology you can track eye movement (saccades) with special glasses or cameras — see test person below— and turn it into a chart. see how the eyes-nose-lip zone is all you look at and not the forehead?
Tumblr media
(the chart looks a bit scary but it’s just showing the progression and stops of your eyes)
Tumblr media
without the brows, the T-zone is less visible or strong. in fact, some kpop styles even hide the eye area. which means your eyes will not trace the T-zone as much. which means you will not look at the lips (!) as much which... here goes your keyword: ARE THE EROGENOUS ZONE. makes sense? no bangs, more T-zone emphasis, more visual direction toward the lips, more sex appeal.
and the last explanation: bangs rule k-pop. hair needs to be longer to be dyed in a way that yields a bigger area of color that gives great cinematic results on screen. plus: SE asian hair is extremely hard to shape for a shortcut. so the prevalence of bangs and how thick the hair is (further covering the brows) has kind of deprived us from the things listed: emotional transparency, golden ratio, health indicators, recognizability, visual anchor, contrast, focus on the eyes and lips. so, the big reveal has more impact through rarity.
and that’s my friends is why forehead reveals are such a big deal in k-pop💡
