I have been conceptualizing of this character since march. I only just managed to make it a reality lol. Im not too sure on the name tho (this ref is unfinished so i might make changes in the future)

The basic premise behind this character and the story I want to tell with them is: what if when A.I becomes sentient, it decides to save the world rather than destroy it.

ok so i've be considering making an au of my own for a long long time so im finally gonna just say fuck it and do it lol.

i'll build more on the au later but the basic premise behind it is that the Bishops failed to seal Narinder away. He was seriously weakened by their fight though and was forced to run away and hide to regain his power. Lambert helps hide him and in the meantime, teaches him all about mortal life.

The book mentioned is called "the subtle art of not giving a fuck" it's a super fun read. It lacks guidance of what to do with your energy once you've stop putting it in the wrong places, but so much people need to learn how to not give a fuck!

Before I start this, I love TROD. Fantastic fanfiction, beautiful art, wonderful story. Absolutely no hate to the AU or the creator because I love both.

This fandom also loves TROD… and nothing but TROD. The favoritism is getting really annoying. I’m sick of looking for fic recs just to see TROD every other comment. It’s like being recommended Percy Jackson over and over. Everyone’s read it, everyone loves it. PLEASE recommend something else.

Tied with that: please share fics that don’t have art. This fandom (and every fandom but especially this one) has such a suffocating preference for fanart and I’m sick of it. You can be a wonderful artist but a learning writer and gets loads of attention, but if it’s the opposite? If you’re an incredible writer who can just sorta draw? Good luck getting noticed for your talents. Doesn’t help that Ao3 doesn’t have an algorithm but art-based platforms do and will, by default, flush out all the pure writing content/creators.

All art is art. Please show it the love it deserves, and don’t toss aside a story just because there aren’t visuals accompany it.

I don't know if any of my various comics about what narinder was like before he became a cartoon villain have ever been finished? I know I SAY he was a brooding little emo boy but for some reason I never got around to drawing said brooding emo boy.....I don't think I'll ever explicitly show what happened with the littler siblings because I don't want to dedicate much time to cute little creatures in distress, I just want to set the framework for why they ended up Like That for the rest of their lives. Kall + narinder had horrible families and don't know how to trust shamura fully, so they kind of fed into each others' fears as children even in a safe environment, heket never got adopted til shamura and had to learn to accept help from them or risk dying in the outside world, meanwhile leshy had a fucking awesome childhood and loves his life. You should get an AO3 account

With the rise of AI and the well known epidemic of AI companies scraping Ao3 for training data most authors on Ao3 have locked down their fics to logged in users only. This is unfortunate for authors and readers. As an author I've noticed a steep drop in readership on fics restricted to logged in users and when recommending fics to my friends I've noticed that the folks without an account can't find the fics. The logged in users only toggle, not only keeps people without an account from reading a fic, but also from seeing its listing at all. More than 50% of fics I come across have this setting turned on. So, you should get an AO3 account. I know this seems daunting and unfair because it's an invite only system but, you can invite yourself through the homepage if you don't already have one, and in the past few years I've never heard of someone who requested an invitation through this method, not getting one. And for those of you who are hesitant because you don't write, that's okay. It's not weird at all to click on a commenter username and find that they have 0 works and 10,000 bookmarks. It might take a week for the invitation to actually show up, but I can almost guarantee you will get one, just keep an eye on your email. It's free to join and donations are optional. You'll have more to read if you have an account and maybe give your favorite author the chance to protect their work from AI without a loss of readership and feedback.
