Love that the large majority of Dead Boy Detectives plot was driven by gay panic

we need a season 2 for mick, if we never get a season 2 we’ll never get to know if he becomes a walrus again. we need a season 2 for niko, just to know how she’s doing in the afterlife or wherever she may be. we need a season two for edwin and charles, to see how their relationship ends up playing out for the rest of time. we need a season 2 for crystal, to see how she works as an official member of the dead boy detective agency and to see more of her powers and ancestors. and if for nothing else, we need a season 2 for us and our obsession.

the way both Edwin and Charles are so adamant about staying together for eternity. They have both stated it explicitly multiple times. They are equally bound together, their love each other so much you know it after their first scene together. They went through hell together and came back. The toiches that linger that neither pays too much attention to. The casual ease they work around each other. Because they have. For decades. G o d they make me insane.

oh AND my favourite thing about the show is that Edwin and Charles spent a whole ass 30 years being best friends without ever analyzing their trauma (Charles) or their feelings (Edwin)

the thing that gets me the absolute most about the love confession is just . how charles responds.

like, genuinely if he didn't feel some kind of feelings for edwin, he would've let him down gently, right then and there.

I didn't believe it at first but after watching the show, Dead Boy Detectives was so obviously crafted to be catnip for the Tumblr girlies(gn), cause like. Homoerotic ghost detectives. Sassy psychics. Weird girls. Witches. A literal cat king. Sad twink that's actually a crow. Hot goth lesbian butchers. Slowburn ft. immortal beings. Gay confessions in hell. This show was crafted in a lab for us, and I LOVE IT. Go watch it if you haven't already.

my fave greek history story to tell is that of agnodice. like she noticed that women were dying a lot during childbirth so she went to egypt to study medicine in alexandria and was really fucking good but b/c it was illegal for women to be doctors in athens she had to pretend to be a man. and then the other doctors noticed that she was 10x better than them and accused her of seducing and sleeping with the women patients. like they brought her to court for this. and she just looked at them and these charges and stripped in front of everyone like “yeah. im not fucking your wives” and then they got so mad that a woman was better at their jobs then them that they tried to execute her but all her patients came to court and were like “are you fucking serious? she is the reason you have living children and a wife.” so they were shamed into changing the law and that is how women were given the right to practice medicine in athens
