So a little woolly bear (Pyrrharctia isabella) fell out of our Christmas tree this morning…

man I sometimes avoid going onto this blog bc so many posts in the queer/lgbt communities feel like

kids loudly drawing lines in the dirt and sourcing their materials without actually looking at eachother or acknowledging eachother

man I want a word for, like. “queer partner” without necessarily being either platonic or non-platonic. just like. I wish there wasn’t always such a hard line between those concepts it just the person you dedicate your life too you know

one of the things I love and also hate about orientation identification is how much you start sounding like a D&D character when you try to full describe yourself

sorry I haven’t been on this acc in a few weeks but this is actually really nice??

yeah like. I’m def not going to use the question, bc I know it’s actively Dangerous among other things to be like “hey u look queer” in a public space, as well as being somewhat invasive, but I keep thinking about how “gay” used to be a safe little code-word like “friends of dorthy” and all that and I really want something like that for our gen too

I’m pretty into that idea of just giving my pronouns though that sounds really good?? I’m still not sure what my pronouns are though, but I might try using ‘they’ for things like that.

I've met a 70 year-old asexual woman and it was amazing! She told me that people will try to make me change, and will say things that will hurt me, but in the end I should be proud of who I am, just like she's proud (and happy). She told me not to worry (I've been feeling conflicted) because someday I'll find peace within myself (she struggled earlier in life) and that the feeling is amazing.

it’s really hard not to perk my head excitedly whenever I hear The Gay Lisp and I really don’t want to assume or stereotype but I want an excuse to come out to the kids as gay and w/e you know??? but the class is not about me and I don’t have any reason to talk about it but but but I wanna be there for all the queer kids
