Vampire Prince Enhypen x Shadow fairy Fem Reader
Work count: 3.5K
Playlist: Here
Synopsis: Shadowfen was a normally a peaceful place consisting of shadow fairies. The city was beautiful beyond belief until Grimmingthorn invaded. Vampires now overpopulated the city. Both of the Queens being pregnant they decided on a deal of which they live together. Making the new fairy princess and vampire kings grow together. Leading with a lot of obstacles on the way of childhood.
Warnings: mentions of murder, death, gagging, creepy men

Registering the three corners of the room, not being able to see the fourth. Knowing very well that this room was the dungeon. She was never allowed to be in them. Nor near them. Trying to peer up to try and see the door as a sharp pain shot through her shoulder and chest. Wincing as she tried to move once more, quickly glancing as the hinges squealed. Watching the masked man look her over. A chill hit her when he stopped at her side. His hand gracing her face.
“What a pretty little thing we have here. A shame you won’t be this pretty after she’s done with you.”
“W-Who is this her you mentioned?”
“You poor innocent thing, it’s so sad that you don’t know. The Queen of course. She has wanted to for a long time. See this pretty, pure shell break. Watch it snap under pressure.”
“I didn’t do anything though? Why would she be after me of all people in the Kingdom?”
“You see...how do I make you understand this? You are too connected to her sons. The only girl that is to be in their lives is her, and their match. Each of the boys is destined to a princess, fated some may even say. But all of the boys are showing signs of being connected to you. Do you now understand the issue at hand? Did I dumb it down enough for you?”
“Are you implying that the Queen wants me dead? She is the only woman I can think about that has sons that I am even remotely associated with.”
“There you go. Now you finally understand. That’s right, her perfect life would be with you not involved in it. You are a mere inconvenience to her. I get why she would be jealous of you. I mean how would you feel if a pretty, dainty thing came and tried to take away your sons? Hmm?”
“I would not appreciate it, but I most definitely would not kill the girl. Who is demented enough to even consider that?”
“Well that would be me.” Both whipping their heads toward to door, neither of them hearing the door open. Watching the tall, lengthy woman ponder her way across the decrepit floor. Piercing eyes into each other.
“Madam?”
“Well yes my dear? Perplexed? I know I would be.”
“Why?”
“You see, I love you do not misunderstand, but my sons are arranged to marry princesses. And yes, I know you are a princess, but they are to be marrying a vampire, not a fairy.”
“Why do you want to kill me Madam?”
“I do not wish to kill you. Who told you that?”
“The sir over in the corner.”
“Now why did you tell this girl that I wanted to kill her?” Her tone becoming ominous matching the steps she took toward the man.
“I wanted to scare her.”
“No, this girl is like a daughter to me, I would never hurt her.”
“I am sorry Madam.”
“Now where was I...ah yes. I am deeply sorry about him. He thinks his position is higher than it truly is. As I was saying my sons are to meet their partner this month, and I can’t have them constantly running to you. Do you understand?”
“Yes Madam. So what would you like to do.”
“I need you to disappear for a while.”
“How do you want me to do so?”
“I am going to have you fake your death. You were shot, so I am going to say that you disappeared because a hunter shot and took you. That way you can hide out of sight and no one bothers you. How does that sound?”
“I don’t think it is too bad of a plan. Honestly Madam how long do you want me to hide? And where?”
“I am going to have you move in with some friends of mine. They live in the forest. A place where no one goes. They are nice people, and yes they are vampires. Nobody will look for you there. I want you to stay with them until you are about twenty years old. They will be here later tonight to get you. I already had your stuff packed and awaiting their arrival. Now, I have to get back, stay here and I will have one of them come get you.”
Nodding at her as she and the man walked out. The steel door screeching upon the friction. Huffing, she laid her head down on the pillow. Sleep taking over her.
⫷⫷⫷
Gasping upon feeling a presence touch her wing. Springing up to see a tall gentleman next to the bed. Pinning herself in the corner to get as much distance from him as she could. Watching him crouch down to her level but not moving a step in her direction. Tilting her head to the side trying to read what he was thinking.
“That isn’t going to work on me. How about this...my name is Taeyong. I was told to come get you by Seulgi. I will not hurt you, I am just coming to get you out of here.”
“How do I know that you are not lying?”
“You are a very smart kid, but if I wanted to hurt you I would have already.” Relaxing, he was right, she still refused not walking to him.
“Where do you live?”
“I live in the forest on the southern coast.”
“Okay.” Stepping toward him, seeing him straighten out to his full height once more. Waiting for him to open the door and leave. Doing exactly that, he signaled her to follow him.
“Come here, I need you to stay with me so that no one notices you.”
Grabbing his hand as they walked through the dark hallway. “How can you see? It is so dark.”
“My vision is a little different than yours, dear.” Snickering at his response, she continued on her way. Finally, she saw a gate after walking for what felt like hours. “And we are here. Now there will be other people but they are just like me. You are actually the same age as Mark and Haechan. Do you think you can sit with them?”
“Yeah.”
“There you go. C’mon.”
Opening the gate to a part of the castle she had never seen. Seeing three black carriages lined up. Leading her to the last carriage, the door opened revealing two boys. Stepping into the car, feeling the awkward atmosphere. Peeking at the two young boys, seeming no older than herself. Watching their eyes shift from each other to her and then back. Clearing her throat, the boys stiffened.
“I am Y/n. What are your names?”
The tan-skinned boy shoved his elbow into the dark haired boy with glasses. Blinking multiple times before also clearing his throat.
“Umm...I..I am Mark, and this is Haechan.” The one who introduced himself as Mark explained. “How old are you?”
“I am ten. Yourself?”
“I am twelve.”
“And I am eleven.”
“So why are we taking you from the Grimmingthorn Royals?”
“I was shot.”
“Shot?!”
“Yes. They said it was a hunter, but I seen her face. She wanted me dead.”
”Who is she?”
”The Queen.”
Both boys gasped in surprise. Seeming more shocked than Y/n herself.
”Why would she ever want to kill you?”
“I have not a clue. She is a very temperamental woman. Dramatic might be a better explanation. She was a woman of honor to those that didn’t know her. When you knew her personally; you would know she is a savage woman. And poor Heeseung. That boy has no idea what his mother has in tale for him.”
“Who is Heeseung?” The younger of the two piqued.
“He is next in line to be King. As of right now he is the eldest prince of the Grimmingthorns’. Only nine and his mother blames him for everything ill in her life. She gives all of her children a sorrow life. Extremely sad.”
"That truly is. We are not near the king status." Giving Mark a few quick blinks before responding.
"We not? Are you not the only sons?"
Haechan let out a boisterous laugh. The high-pitch sound bringing a small chuckle from her.
"Absolutely not. We have many older brothers. We are some of the youngest, but there is over ten above us."
"Don't you think your status may change? I mean if you seem mature enough...do you think they will allow you to be a King?"
"Uhm..." Mark started before stopping his sentence. A long pause ensued before he began again. "I don't believe that will happen. Hierarchy is followed strictly in our family."
"Ahh, okay. Understandable. So who is your King as of now?"
"Taeil is. He was born in thirteen-ninety four. He is our oldest."
"If you ask me, he doesn't seem like he wants to be the King for much longer."
Pulling her head back in confusion while blinking at them slowly. "Why not?"
"I just think he is over it. Any time there is input needed from him, he just waves you off."
"Well I guess I could see why you make that assumption. Our Queen was never like that. She was always in the court of knowing what was happening. You could not breathe right without her approaching you."
"Do you think you will miss it? Grimmingthorn, I mean."
"Oh god, no. Maybe my friends, but nothing else."
Going to speak again when the carriage came to a hault. The three glanced at each other as the door opened showing a tall man with dark hair. Guarding herself as the man was not Taeyong. The two boys quickly slipped out of the opening while she shoved herself into the corner.
"Who may you be?" The man visibly huffed while rolling his eyes.
"Come on child."
"No, who are you? I will not leave this carriage until you state your name and respective status."
"Are you part of the court now?" Keeping silent at his question making her get a snicker. "That what I thought. Now get out."
"Aleast tell me your name."
"My name is Jaehyun. I am one of the Princes of the Neos."
Still keeping her guard up as she got to the edge on the carriage. Going to step out only to get her foot stuck in her gown. About to fall when her arm was grabbed. Glancing to see Jaehyun giving her an annoyed glare.
"Thank you. Now let go of me."
Scoffing at each other as they paced to the gated villa. Once inside of the gates they closed. Seeing many people going on their way. She stopped walking and stared at everything around her. It was definitely smaller than Grimmingthorn. This seemed more like a family than a kingdom to her.
Nobody was forced to interact, they just did it. There was no issues with aggression. Everyone appeared civil. Lost in her own world as hands were placed on her shoulders. Jumping upon the contact, to see the silver-haired male from before.
"I thought you got lost, dear. Enjoying the Kingdom?"
"Yes it is a nice contrast to mine, and no I did not get lost. I didn't know where to go so I stayed put."
"Follow me. I am going to show you to your quarters."
Gripping the man's hand as he led her to a large hut.
"This is just mine?"
"Go inside. I will explain everything there."
After she entered the sound of the wood sliding against itself was heard. Taking a place on the mat, staring at the man who continued suit.
"So, do you know the true reason you are here?"
"I was told that I would be staying with some of the Queen's friends until her sons were mated."
Taeyong sighed. "Unfortunately, that it not true. The Queen sent you to us to be killed. Everything that the Queen has told you is a lie."
"I am not surprised."
"You're not?"
"Oh no. The Queen has never been polite to me. I believe she is also the person who killed my parents."
"Wow. You don't see highly of her...but neither do I so we are quite similar."
"Why did you accept me then if you knew how she is?"
"We need to get stronger as well. If we finally get a female in our dynasty we will be unstoppable."
"So you don't have a Queen?"
"Haven't for the last century."
“You expect me to stay with you for all of these years to come until I’m?”
“Until you are eighteen.”
“I won’t have to be turned to be your Queen?”
“No one will ever get close enough to tell you are not one. Trust me, you stay with us and you will be set for life.”
“Promise?” Looking the King in the eyes as she held out her pinky finger. Taking a quick glance down at it before returning the eye contact. Wrapping his small finger around hers and touching her thumb.
“I promise you.”
♦️♦️♦️
The next day upon waking up, she felt at ease. Looking around to see a pink and beige dress hung on the wall. Taking a step closer to see a note with it. Reading carefully.
“Here is your first gift as the princess.
It is meant to match your personality. I hope I did well.”
Feeling the soft material under her fingertips. The beautiful detail of flowers that adorned the bottom of the dress resembling cherry blossoms. The pink color being a soft contrast to the light beige covering. Sliding the dress over her shoulders and tying the covering at her side. Smoothing out the wrinkles she had made. The length reaching just above her feet. Moving swiftly through the door of the house to see everybody working outside. Walking around the land until she ran into Mark. Two young boys accompanying his sides. Both giving her sweet smiles as Mark did the same.
“Hey Y/n!”
“Hello Mark. How is your day going?”
“Oh, it’s going just fine. We were about to go get breakfast. Would you like to come with us?”
“Yes that would be nice.” The young boy jumped giddily as he dragged her with him. Multiple faces passing to fast for her to recognize. Reaching a temple with its doors open giving it a welcoming vibe. Running up the stairs to finally see people sitting together.
“Uhm, Mark? What do you eat?” The boy’s brows knit together signifying his confusion.
“We eat what you eat, of course.”
“You eat apples, and persimmons?”
“Oh no we don’t eat those. They make me sick. I get what the king gives to us. Which is whatever they caught this week.”
Feeling her mouth start to fill with saliva, she gagged. The thought alone of eating a animal made her nauseous. She gave Mark an empathetic smile before stepping away. “Do you happen to know where I can find Taeyong?”
“Oh, he should be in his quarters right now. It is the big building over there.” Pointing to the other side of the village where a vibrant temple stood. The decorations of it showing it help royalty within it. Thanking him as she made her way to the temple. Stopping outside of it before sliding the door open. Showing the man in question sitting in a blue outfit. Calling for her to sit with him.
“What is it that brings you to me Y/n?”
“Well I tried to eat breakfast and had a situation arise.”
“And what may that be that caused you turmoil?”
“Well, I don’t eat animals. As a Fae you don’t eat anything that is part of nature besides what’s given to you. I cannot bring myself to eat a animal. What do you presume I do?”
“I can send a few of the boys to pick food for you. Would you like that?”
Nodding at him. “Well yes, however there is one request. I would like to pick my own harvest. Considering it is only me that is eating it.”
“I disagree with your stance on this, but if that is what you want, then I will allow it. For how much do you think you will need?”
“Just enough for this week, and if alright I can plant the seeds and have my own harvest on territory.”
He opens his eyes to see her genuine attitude toward him. Huffing before he nods his head. “That’s fine, just don’t take too much land. I will let you go into the forest with some of the elders for protection.”
“Thank you Taeyong.” Bowing about to leave before stopping. Catching a glimpse of her dress made her remember. “Thank you as well for the dress. It is beautiful.”
“I did not pick out the dress. Jaehyun did.” Her jaw falling slack for a few seconds, quickly closing. He was the last person you would have thought would know anything about her likes.
“Well please tell him my gratitude.”
“I will now please go wait at your quarters until they show.”
Leaving him alone to finish his doings. Waiting inside the hut for no longer than a half-an-hour when there was a gentle knock. Opening the door to see three men she did not recognize. “Who may you three be?”
“May we come in?” Granting the three entry waiting for their names.
The tallest of the three speaking first. “I am Johnny. Taeyong has sent us to take you for harvesting.”
“I am Yuta.” His response was concise while his presence oozed power.
“I am Kun. Nice to meet you.” The smallest of them ended with a slight bow in her direction.
“Thank you for coming with me for harvesting.”
Johnny let out a quiet hum while leading her into the forest with the other two trailing behind them. The surrounding environment becoming more and more earthy the farther they walked.
“Have you spotted anything of interest yet, your highness?”
Pausing at the title before shaking her head. “Unfortunately not. And please do not call me such a title. I know not a clue about being a highness.”
Kun going to protest when Yuta held a hand out to him. Talking him down so that the to be Queen does not get upset with them.
Once she had found a bush full of berries, she began to pick them. The three holding basket for her collecting. One of the baskets becoming full with berries alone. Proceeding to look for more fruit when she spotted an apple tree in the distance. Standing small next to it while staring up at the expanse of it. Turning her attention to one of her tall companions, flip-flopping on whether she should ask or not. Deciding she called out to him.
“Johnny?” Seeing his head swing in her direction. “May I please ask you for assistance?” Said man came trotting over branches before standing in from of the tree with her.
“What may I help you with?”
“Can you please grab me down a few apples?” Nodding as she watched him reach up and pluck apple after apple from the branches. Once the basket was full, she went to look for more fruit. Johnny following closely until Yuta and Kun came strutting up to his side. Her being too far to hear their conversation.
Johnny, however, kept a close eye on her as he listened to his counterparts.
“Something is not right in the forest?”
“Why do you say?” Yuta kept glancing around as he continued.
“The trees and leaves have been eerily still. Kun and I have both heard branches breaking when none of us were near branches. I feel their presence is near. We have to get out now.”
“Kun go get Y/n.” Johnny commanded as he fully turned his attention Yuta. Taking his concentration off of her allowed his senses to clear. Getting the feeling of being watched be perked up. “I see what you are saying. Can you tell where they are?”
“They are located along the edge of the south. Moving inward.”
“What is located along the south of the forest edge?”
“Grimmingthorn and Shadowfen.”
Kun and her now standing next to them as Johnny shifted uncomfortably.
“Y/n? Where are you from?”
“I am from Shadowfen.”
“Were you invaded?”
“By Grimmingthorn.” Johnny stiffened as the scent got stronger.
“We have to go back.”
“Why? What is going on?” She could sense the anxiousness of the three men around her. It being a contrast to their calm demeanor she felt earlier. Asking question after question without getting answers from the three as they dragged her along rather quickly. Throwing a fit until the Neos territory came into view. Finally letting up their grip as Johnny stood tall in front of her. His body appearing as a wall before her. “Will you please tell me what is going on?”
“Grimmingthorn is trying to invade.” As if summoning, an arrow shot between the two hitting a tree behind them.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

Mark Lee x Reader
Genre: angst, slow burn, pg-13, happy ending
Word count: 2.3k
Warnings: Suggestive themes, angst, drinking, law breaking, abusive relationship, mental abuse, drug overdose if triggering please do not interact
Synopsis: Mark was once a great down to earth guy, before getting involved in drugs and alcohol. Running away from the law, starting random fights, he was becoming a terrible person. He took everything out on you because you stayed. It took one event to make him think twice.
Feathers coated the living room floor. Torn pillows lie adorning the dense wood. Broken glass across the room far from their old places. The young man stood flinging a pillow around. “Who do you think you are?!”
“I am just trying to help you get away from this life, Mark.”
“Don’t waste my time. You give me that same old excuse every time. ‘I’m trying to help you’. Have you ever thought that maybe just maybe I’m not the person you want?! Huh?! Answer me!”
Flinching back at the outburst, hoping that this would not occur for the nth time. Yet every time you tried; it was the same response. Anger and violence. Still you tried. And tried and tried again. No one understood why you stayed with Mark. He was abusive and manipulative. But yet you never left his side. Your back slamming into the wall as Mark gripped your jaw. Wincing, expecting the hit. That never arrived, opening your eyes to see a state of shock over Mark’s features.
“I’m...I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me.” Hugging you tight, not getting a chance to reply once again.
“Hey Mark...it’s alright. I know you didn’t mean to. How about we get some rest, yeah?”
“Okay.” Following you to bed. Lying there for a while until the feeling of kisses erupted on your shoulder. Turning to see Mark half-asleep. Feeding into it when it continued.
***
“Mark, come on, let’s go. Don’t make a scene out of nothing.” Dragging him out of the bar and into the alley.
“I’m not making...a...big deal out of nothing.” His speech coming out slurred, the smell of alcohol evident.
“Can we please just go home?”
“Fine.”
Pacing to their apartment, dragging the extra body weight. Hearing the man’s drunk giggles and compliments the whole way. Finally arriving inside, getting him onto the couch. “Would you like anything to eat Mark?”
“Yeah.” A series of drunk giggles escaped his mouth as he watched you.
“Oh please Mark. Pervert.” Now it was your turn to laugh. This was the Mark you grew to love. This is how he was when you met him, and through multiple years of the relationship. Only a year ago had his choices gone downhill. Getting involved with drugs, alcohol, breaking the law, running from cops. And you were there every step of the way. He always called you his ride or die for a reason.
***
Waking up in the middle of the night to shouting. Glancing out of the window to see Mark arguing with someone in the street. “Here we go again.” Springing out of bed to the street to see the guy reaching for something. Racing to Mark, grabbing his arm, and bolting. The whole time Mark is still cussing out the man. “Mark! Would you shut the fuck up!”
Scoffing at you. “Oh so now you think you’re tough.”
“Yeah I do. If it weren’t for me you would be dead.”
“Yeah right.” Winging him around the corner as the stampede ran by.
“Stop doing this shit!” Pointing your finger in his face.
“Get your hand out of my face Y/n.”
“No, you need to hear this. You being this dumb person is going to cost you your life one of these days. Stop with all of this or I am done. I will leave your ass.”
“You won’t. What are you without me?”
“I am a grown adult that doesn’t do stupid shit and think it’s funny.”
“So you’re saying I’m a child.”
“Yes exactly that! I am promising you. If you keep this up I’m leaving. Now get back to the house and calm down.”
Storming away from Mark, not wanting to even be in his presence. Slamming the door of the bedroom, cuddling in the blankets. Feeling yourself start to cry. You knew this wasn’t Mark. But you had no choice than to stay. You knew that right now he couldn’t take care of himself. Feeling an arm sling across your side, as warmth surrounded you. Hearing the repeated sorry’s and I love you’s. Falling asleep in Mark’s embrace. Waking up a few hours later. Mark was still asleep, so you decided to leave a note. Knocking on the mahogany door. A tall man rubbed his eyes as he opened the door. Blinking a few times before squinting.
“Oh hey Y/n. What’s up?”
“Hey Johnny.”
“Please come in.”
Stepping aside, you paced inside standing behind him waiting for him. Following him to the kitchen, sitting at the counter as he opened a cupboard. Placing a bowl on the counter he sighed. “Alright...what’s really going on? You never come around when Mark’s not with.”
“Can’t get nothing past you. Well Mark has gotten worse.”
“How could Mark get any worse? He was already at his all-time low.”
“He starts arguments with whomever, he is selling, sniffing, smoking you name it. He won’t stop drinking. I threatened him last night on top of it.”
“You threatened him.”
“Well yeah. I can’t do this for much longer.”
“You threatened him?! Y/n! Why would you do that?”
“I had enough! He almost got shot last night for being a dumbass.”
“Hmmm. What did you threaten him with?”
“I said that if he didn’t knock it off I was going to leave him.”
“Oh god. I’m going to get dressed. Stay right here, in that very seat. Don’t get up, don’t stand, stay there.” Treating you like a kindergartener. You obliged anyway. Honestly because you were the slightest bit scared of said man. After a few minutes Johnny came down the stairs in blue jeans and a black t-shirt. Signaling you to follow him. Opening the door for you to get in walking around to his side. Leaving out of the driveway to your and Mark’s apartment.
“Do you think he left?”
“I doubt it. When I left he was fast asleep.”
“Let’s hope.”
Stepping into the apartment to not hear anything. Nervousness coursed through your body. Hearing a loud bang, you turn to see Johnny stumble and try not to trip over a lamp. Giving you a cheeky smile he laughed. “Sorry.”
Holding your hand over your chest, making your way toward the bedroom. Holding the handle for a second before slightly opening the door. Still seeing Mark lying in bed. You felt relieved as you sat beside his sleeping figure. Running your fingers through his hair, smiling at how child-like he seemed. Shaking his shoulder lightly, but to no avail. Trying once more before your attempts became panicked. Upon hearing your frantic calls Johnny ran into the room.
“What’s wrong?”
“He isn’t waking up!” Tears streamed down your face. Distraught covering every feature.
“Move. Move. Move!” Uncovering Mark’s limp body quickly picking him up. “Do you have any type of alcohol?”
“Let me go look.” As you searched Johnny was trying to get oxygen into Mark’s body. Coming back with a bottle, handing it to Johnny. “What are you doing?”
Hoisting Mark’s back against his knee trying to keep him upright. “When someone passes out, you put an alcohol of some sort under their nose. When the smell hits, it should wake them up.” Waving the bottle under Mark’s nose. After a few seconds of no reaction, Johnny started to panic. “I have to take him to the hospital.”
Running out the door, and to the car. Whipping open the back door for Johnny to slide Mark’s body onto the seat. Speeding to the closest hospital, not caring which one. Arriving and running into the hospital with Johnny coming in a few feet behind. Grabbing attention of the occupants as a nurse came waltzing over.
“What’s going on here?”
“He’s not breathing!”
Springing into action she grabbed a gurney, Johnny placing his lifeless body on the bed. Seeing four other nurses surround him, you tried to follow them. Getting shoved back by a nurse multiple times when Johnny grabbed you. Holding you in his embrace as you broke down. Slamming your hands against him trying to get to Mark. Only every time you did it became harder to fight. When you finally didn’t have the strength to fight, you slumped at his feet. Continuing to cry for the hours you stayed before Johnny suggested you stay at his place for a little. Not responding but knowing he was right, you stood barely supporting your numb legs.
~
Proceeding to stay in Johnny’s company for the next week with still no call about Mark’s wellbeing. Johnny had tried on many different attempts to get you out of bed, and every time was unsuccessful. Snuggled to a hoodie that Mark had worn before everything occurred. When the fifth day came you slowly crept out of bed. Perplexing Johnny as he sat in the living room.
“You’re awake?”
Grumbling in response, you sat at the other end of the couch wrapped in a blanket. Feeling his lingering gaze on you wherever you went. Turning to him, he blinked at you.
“He will be okay. He’s a fighter.”
“I know that Johnny. I am simply scared. The last thing I said to him was not the nicest. If I lose him I am going to feel like the worst person in the world.”
“We all make mistakes and say things we don’t mean.”
“I did mean it though. I couldn’t manage any more of that life.”
“Y/n he knows that you didn’t mean it. He might not have told you, but you were his life.”
Huffing you closed your eyes trying to stop the tears from falling. Mark was your world. You had a crush on him from freshman year and then your relationship had sprouted. He was a nerdy quiet boy that would sit in the back of the room out of everyone’s sight. Except your’s. You thought he was cute, adorable even. That’s also how you came to know of Johnny. The senior had always stood by Mark’s side. Johnny had a brotherly love for Mark since he had met him. Hearing Mark talking under his breath about a liking he had taken over the quiet kid in his classes. Johnny didn’t come to figure out it was you until the day Mark had asked you to be his. Ever since that day he watched on the outside for the both of you. The memories of everything hitting all at once. Making you worry about Mark even more. If this was it you had to go see him one last time.
“Johnny.” You croaked.
“Mhm?”
“Can we please go see him?”
“Yeah.” The slender man stood, stretching before turning in your direction. “Go get dressed. I will be in the car waiting.”
“Thank you.”
Taking a few minutes to stare at yourself in the mirror before putting on a simple attire. Pacing out to the driveway. Seeing the hospital come into view was somber. See the lady at the front desk glance at you before asking for whom you were there for.
“I am Y/n L/n. I am Mark Lee’s girlfriend.”
“Ahh Mrs. Lee. He has been asking about you all morning.” A sweet smile carved her features.
“Wait...he’s...he’s awake?”
“Yes. He has been for a couple of hours now. The only thing he keeps asking about is his wife.” Watching her come out from around the desk to you. “I can take you back to him if you would like?”
“Yes. Please.”
Shadowing the nurse to his room. Giving her a thank you before opening the curtain. Seeing his figure sitting halfway up with an IV in his right hand.
“Mark?”
Lifting his head at the voice only for his eyes to light up. “Y/n?” Shooting over to his side to check that everything was okay. “I’m okay.” Grabbing both of your hands in his, slowly placing them in his lap. “How long have I been here for?”
Sitting by his side you let out an exhausted laugh. “One week.”
“A week?! Really?! Wow.” Sneering at his reaction.
“What’s so shocking Mark?” Venom coated your tone. “What’s so funny about basically dying? I thought I lost you forever. Do you even know why you are here?” Scratching the side of his head, before shaking it no. “You had a drug overdose. Only god knows what could’ve happened. I told you that if you don’t stop this we’re over. The ball lies in your court now. I hope you make the right decision.”
“I will. I know I have been hurting you.”
“Then why didn’t you stop?” The tears escaped.
“I didn’t know how to stop. The feeling when I took them was euphoric. I felt so free. I tried to stop; I really did.”
“But you didn’t know how to get that feeling back without them.”
“Exactly, wait how do you know that?”
“I’m not stupid. I had my run with them as well. Lowest part of my life ever. I felt like shit until I took them.”
“Yeah.”
“Just please Mark, try to stop.”
“I will.”
~~~
“Daddy!” The young boy had run into his father’s arms. Lifting his son up as his partner walked in with his two daughters. Smiling at the scene before kissing his daughter on the head.
“Did you have fun today?” The two girls proceeded to shout what they had done that day. Mark smiled up at you before laughing. “How did we get to this point?”
“Well I could tell you, but it would be a long story.” You chuckled.
Five years had passed since Mark’s incident. He had completed his promise and stayed clean. Getting rid of your apartment and settling for a house for your growing family. Johnny had a big part in that as well. Help you both get furniture and appliances that would look nice with the interior. He would come and go to help Mark while you were pregnant with your first child. Two years after that you got pregnant once more with twins, both being girls. Now having your own little family to care for.
Warnings: Angst, trauma, manipulative themes mentioned, PTSD
Waking up, he was surprised to see two guards at his door. Coming fully to, he sprung up to his feet. “Where’s Y/n?!” The two guards continued staring forward without a sound. “Answer me!” Still not receiving a reply he shoved at the guards. Grabbing his shoulders the two guards finally looked at him.
“This is for your protection. There is a hunter in the castle. The queen gave us demands to not allow you to leave.”
“I don’t care what mother wants! I want to know where Y/n is! Is she okay?! Tell me!” Shoving him lightly, the guard scowled at him.
“We are not allowed to answer that. Go sit down kid. Also do you really believe she would be alive after that?”
“She has to be alive! She wouldn’t leave me alone.” Dropping to his knees he started bawling. “Please just tell me. I won’t tell mother anything. I just need to know if she’s okay.”
Laughing amongst themselves the two watched him. “Fine you want to know...”
“Please...”
“She’s dead.”
Feeling his world crumble and start to collapse from under him, he stopped everything. Figuring he does not have a purpose anymore if she was not alive. Standing to his feet, the two froze. Confused as they watched him pace to his bed and sit down.
“Are you okay kid?”
“I’m fine, at least now I can be who I truly am.”
“Huh? Do you understand him?”
“Not really. I thought he loved her.”
“Me too. Kid, why are you so calm?”
“She wouldn’t allow me to do what I want. Didn’t want me to hurt anything. I’m free to do whatever now.” Still watching him walk over to his desk tensed. Opening the drawer, pulling out his family heirloom he was gifted. “Mother always said I was to use this when I felt it was threatened. She would understand when I tell her the guards hurt me.”
“Kid put that down. It is not to be played wi-” His words were cut short as his blood hit Heeseung’s face.
“Listen kid, you don’t need to do this.”
“But I do.” Swinging the sword through the air once more as the other body hit the floor. Dropping to the ground as well, he started crying hysterically. Feeling his soul leave he passed out.
⨶⨶⨶
Ten years have passed as the seven princes were becoming young adults. The Shadowfens still wondering what happened to their soon to be princess. All that was known was that the same night she disappeared, a blood bath occurred in the kingdom. Told simply that a deranged hunter got inside the castle. Now with the princes ranging from fifteen to nineteen soon to be twenty years old many things have changed. Especially the oldest prince. He is known as the most heartless and ruthless being to exist. Fearing even simple eye-contact with him became normal. Fearing that he would murder anything that looked his way, no one dared to initiate with him. Having heard the rumors that he went on a killing spree that dreadful night in the kingdom. The many times someone was harmed by speaking his name was worrying. Even his own family stayed beware of his presence. He was always surrounded by his brothers who were just as ruthless as him. Getting the nickname the dreadful seven for many reasons. Grimmingthorns started to become weary of what would happen when the new King was crowned. Rightly so, as it was only three months away from the coronation. Still there was no new word on where the princess was. The poor queen was caught bawling on multiple occasions. The princes were asked if any of them could remember that night, but every time it was the same answer. ‘No, we were all in our rightful rooms’. Many thought the answer did not add up to the events that were previously told by their mother. Stated on numerous occasions, that there was a hunter, and the princes were scattered throughout the castle. She answered that she cannot remember once putting the seven princes in their rooms, but in fact keeping them out of them for safety. The more their stories collided the more people started to worry. If the princes and the queen were that easy to lie about the murder of a princess how easily would they lie about another. Many believed the oldest son, Heeseung preformed the act. Guards saying that on occasion he would become too protective of the princess. Some even saying he threatened them for being close to her. Hatred was thrown onto the four oldest princes Heeseung, Jay, Jake, and Sunghoon, while pity was thrown onto the youngest. Many felt bad for the three princes that grew up in a sad city because they were so young when the event occurred. None of them answered the questions when asked because they did not know. This affected them in Charter School, which is where a lot of questioning came along. Jungwon was known as the target of most issues. Being the smallest prince led to a lot of jokes, most being that he was going to be a joke of a prince. That was until she arrived. Walking by shoving her shoulder into one of them as she walked by. Going to find her only for her to already be gone. Jungwon wanted to thank her but could never find her. None of the seven could. When the story of her broke throughout the school many believed that she was an in-school bodyguard. Denying it to be true for the very reason that all of their guards were knights. A woman was not to be allowed the position of a knight. She would always appear when she was needed as if she was summoned. When Jay almost tripped down the stairs, she grabbed his shoulder telling him to watch his step before it even occurred. When Jake was attacked by a hunter, and she saved him. When Niki was down because of the training to become a prince, she lifted his chin high telling him to get back on his feet and that he was destined for greatness. The most shocking one was when Heeseung got shot by an arrow. Witnesses saying that she treated him with no hesitation muttering something about returning a favor. Some quoting the exact phrase, “This is returning the favor. Thank you, Hee.”. No one knew what it exactly meant, but many said his face dropped at her words. All color leaving his face when the syllables hit his ears. From that day forward nobody was able to find the mysterious woman. There was no trace of her ever, no footprint, no scent, no hair, nothing. She was conned the name pretty stranger. Known only for her pretty appearance and bravery. As time got closer and closer to coronation she appeared more frequently. Puzzled people that saw her started sketching he to hand out papers with her face, hoping someone knew something. Still nothing came up on the pretty stranger.
⨕⨕⨕
“Heeseung, have you gotten one of these papers yet?”
“No, wait what paper exactly?”
“The one with her on it. They are everywhere now.”
“Oh, yes. I got three of them yesterday. Why do you ask, Jay?”
“Well, who do you think she is? I mean you know everyone in this city. How could she come from nowhere without you knowing?”
“I don’t know how she did it. May I ask you a question, Jay?”
“Go ahead.”
“Do you remember what Y/n looked like? I know you were young, but something has to have stuck with you.”
“No, no, I remember her clearly. You don’t think?”
“I do.” Staring at Heeseung for a moment, before rapidly pulling a chair out beside him. Sitting down loudly, still staring at him with wide eyes.
“Why? How? How could that be her? I thought she died that night ten years ago?”
“So much is leading back to her. Her scent is familiar, practically the same. Her eyes, they hold so much in them. They pierce into you in a different way. Her presence is dominating. She is what I would have expected Y/n to be like when she grew up.” Getting up, he ruffled his hair while pacing to the window. “Jay...do you really believe she died that day? Honestly?” Peeking over his shoulder, seeing his brother gapping like a fish a few times before dropping his head.
“I-I don’t know what I believe. Mother said that she died, but I don’t remember her ever being attacked like Mother said as well.”
“That’s because she wasn’t! She was shot! An arrow went straight threw her chest! Jay, nobody can get past those gates without being let in! Mother had to have opened those gates. She had her shot! She planned it! I saw it with my own eyes! There was no hunter! At all!”
“Calm down, Heeseung.”
“No! Mother is lying through her teeth! And you’re believing it! Everyone is believing it! They pulled me away from her Jay! Did you know that?!”
“I didn’t.”
“Exactly! Mother told me that night that it was for my own good! That she was dangerous! How?! How?! How was she dangerous?!”
Watching his brother scream as his emotions took over. Hearing footsteps as the other five came in. Stopping by Jay’s side as Heeseung let out everything that was bottled up over the past ten years. Crying, screaming, dry heaving was on the low scale of what was happening. None of them got near him because they knew of the consequences that would happen. It hurt them to watch, he was the strongest, the oldest, the brave one. He was letting every wall he had built fall. He was vulnerable, but not gullible. Most of his emotion was anger, no hatred. Aimed mostly at the woman he had to call his mother. Anything she tried to tell him, he ignored. He would sit back and watch his brothers get spoon fed lies. The only thing that she did not know, was that the boys followed their older brother over everybody. When he started showing hostility toward her so did the rest. Especially Sunoo, Jake, and Niki. The rest already had their individual reasons for not respecting her. Jay’s sprouted from constantly having to rebuild his brother because of her. Kneeling in front of his brother wrapping his arms around him, feeling him trembling. Feeling his brother shove his face into his chest, grabbing his shirt roughly. Yanking him forward a few times before slamming his fist into his chest. Wincing as he grabbed his fist. Opening Heeseung’s fist, while places his head on his shoulder. “Stop. Stop this. Don’t let her get this satisfaction. You are showing her that she is getting to you. You don’t want that.” Standing up, watching his brother slouch on his feet. “Get up. I said get the hell up! Are you weak? Do you belong on the ground?” Hearing a faint no, he repeated himself. Getting a louder response the second time, he leaned down wrapping his arms under his shoulders. Making him stand. “You don’t deserve this. Stop letting her get to you. You are stronger than her. Better than her. You are the new king.”
“But Y/n is gone. She killed her.”
“Heeseung, do you honestly believe she is dead?”
“I don’t know what I believe.” Sighing, Jay turned to his brothers. Zeroing in on Jake.
“Jake, did you meet her yet?”
“Pretty stranger? Yeah...more than once actually.”
“What did you sense from her?”
“There wasn’t anything that came up when I met her. However, there was a barrier put up.”
“What do you mean?”
“There is this block put up around us, when she gets nearby. It’s hard to describe. If I said a dome...would that make sense?” Pausing to hear some conformation, he continued. “There is a dome over us, not her. When she gets near us, there is a sense of familiarity. Our conscious recognizes her, but our brain can’t seem to remember her.”
“So you’re saying we do know her?”
“Exactly. She has history with us somewhere. Our paths have most definitely crossed at one point.”
“If we did then why can’t we remember her?”
“I already said why. Our memory was basically erased with anything that was about her.”
“Do you think it could possibly be Y/n?”
“I’m not saying yes, but it’s not impossible either. I would say to ask Heeseung because he was the closest with her, but also had the closest encounter with the pretty stranger. I don’t believe that would go well though seeing as he is a slobbering mess.”
“I’m not a mess.”
“Yeah, and we’re not princes.” Sunoo scoffed at Heeseung’s words. “Do you ever think you will get over her? This happened years ago and you’re still not over it. I get you were in love with her and all that but come on. You weren’t the only one of us that was affected. We all were. You are a selfish, mopping mess. Do you think Grimmingthorn will survive with a King like you? One that is so emotional that they break down at the mention of her name.”
“I do not break down at the mere mention of her name. Right now however, I am upset that there is a possibility of the pretty stranger being Y/n. Not her particularly, but us for not realizing it earlier. Next time you see her, stop her.”
The royal city of Shadowfen was normally peaceful, the city of shadow fairies. They lived for peace and quiet, along with their own territory. It wasn’t as dark and gloom as many thought. It was actually bright and lively consisting of royal blues, and gold. A beautiful little county to say the least, that was until Grimmingthorn invaded the pretty land. The Shadowfens thought rightfully so that Grimmingthorns were dark fairies. Only wanting to cause mischief, but they were terribly wrong. Grimmingthorns were vampires of pure blood that were blood thirsty and power hungry. The pregnant queen of the Shadowfens was hidden as the once beautiful city turned to blood red and white. As Shadowfens started to surrender, the queen had a daughter who was to become the new princess. Around the same time the queen of the Grimmingthorns had a son who was to become the new prince and eventually take over as king. Both children were to never correspond with each other under any circumstances. The races began to interact more and more as the years moved along. Until finally the queens conspired together one day that it would be safer to live together than away from each other. At the ages of four and five the princess and prince met, but along with the deal came the six other princes of the Grimmingthorns. While this was an exceptional idea, many citizens of both races were judgmental. Believing that there could not be harmony when there was meant war. The queens did not care much about them, as long as most of the population got along. Watching their kids grow closer through the years.
▣▣▣
The young girl walks through the garden holding her royal blue and gold dress up slightly. Glancing around trying to find him. Pausing, she huffs. “Heeseung~” Still not seeing the prince, she starts to walk again. Abruptly stopping upon hearing a bush rustle. Stepping cautiously toward the bush only for a baby bunny to hop out. Smiling as she leant down letting the bunny hop towards her hand. Picking it up as a shadow covered her side. Seeing the boy in question beside her. “Heeseung, I have been looking for you. When I said let’s play hide and seek I didn’t mean leave the garden. But look what I found!” Holding the little creature outright at him. Seeing the long white teeth protrude she quickly held the bunny to her chest. “Heeseung! How could you even think about eating it?!”
“I-I’m sorry...I haven’t learned to control it yet.” Looking at the ground in shame. He knew that it wasn’t something to eat, but the scent was still hard to control. His mother had told him multiple times that it would take a few years to learn to fight the urge. Glancing at the princess still seeing her holding the rabbit to her chest. “I won’t do anything to it. I promise.”
She visibly relaxed at his words. “Would you...would you like to hold it?” Watching him furrow his brows together in shock he shook his hands at her.
“I don’t think I should. What if I can’t stop myself?” Grabbing his one hand, she shook her head.
“If you start to feel it just give it back to me.” Hesitantly he nodded. Holding his hands out, feeling the soft fur grace his hands. Jolting his hands back slightly. “It’s okay.” Putting them out once more. Finally holding the tiny creature in his hands, feeling its heartbeat against his palm. “Hold it close to you, Hee.”
“I don’t know-”
“You can do it.”
Begrudgingly bringing the rabbit to his chest, peeking every few seconds making sure he was doing it right. Seeing no worried reaction, he slowly wrapped his hands securely around the creature. Smiling down at the animal understanding why you were so joyful to find it. It was cute. So pure and unbothered by the world, fearing what looked like humans. The smile left Heeseung’s face. He would never be a human, never was. He was simply born as a thing not a what. He was only ten, but these thoughts still pondered through his brain. He knew of the hunters that were out for his family’s blood line. Thinking more into it, the rabbit was a lot like you. Knew of the fears of the world but was still so trusting of everything. The free-spirited animal was a projection of you. So joyful and cute, while still having an elegant and graceful nature. He was worried about you for this very reason. He was your protector, your shield. He covered your eyes when you got scared, got rid of the spider that made you scream bloody murder. You were his rabbit by fate, but he knew that you were also his brothers’ rabbit as well. Always there for each other. You brought joy to their dark world. Reaching his hands back out at you. The bunny jumping immediately into your hands.
“See Hee, you did it. You were simply scared.”
“I was not.”
“Well little bunny I think it’s time for you to get back to your family.” Placing the little creature on the ground, watching it jump back through the very bush it came from. Hearing the pattering of feet they both turned to see Niki and Jungwon running. The princess was the first one to fully face the boys.
“What are you two doing here? Does your mother know you’re out in the garden?”
“Yes.”
“Are you lying Jungwon? Niki does the queen know?”
“I don’t think so.”
The youngest princes of the Grimmingthorn bloodline. Jungwon being seven, and Niki six. They got away with almost everything because of their age along with their status. Not to mention the cute behavior that came with the age. Everyone loved them, well except for the Shadowfens who were weary of them. The Shadowfen’s queen adored them just as much as her own daughter. Causing a lot of mayhem on the Shadowfens end. You adored them as well. They were basically your little brothers, watching them grow through the years.
“Heeseung, do you believe the queen knows they are out in the garden without guards?” Glancing up at the windows of the castle perplexed. None of the princes were ever allowed outside of the castle without a guard. Heeseung remembers notifying his mother that he was going out to the garden. There had to have been a guard somewhere watching him. But for his brothers...it was truly odd for there to not be guards with them. Looking from the window to his brothers, then settling his gaze on you. Noticing the worried glint in his eyes you straightened. “Heeseung, what’s wrong?”
“Something isn’t right. Mother never sent a guard out after me. I get I am the eldest prince, but she would never allow Niki and Jungwon out without protection. Did you two tell mother you were coming out here?” Watching both of the boys nod their heads, he knew something was definitely wrong. “We have to get inside, now.”
“Heeseung, what is wrong? Tell me what’s going on.”
Pushing the two young boys forward, turning to grab your wrist. “I believe there is a hunter watching. Mother would never let us out of the castle without a guard. Either mother is in trouble, or she is watching someone. She did this when we were younger as well. The safest thing to do right now is get inside.”
She trusted Heeseung with her life, but could he be saying the truth right now. If the queen knew, why didn’t she inform them to not go outside. Figuring he might just be overreacting; she went with him. Opening the castle gate for the four of them to enter. The three boys entered, waiting for you as you tried to bustle your dress slightly to not trip. Heeseung stopped immediately upon feeling a whoosh of air pass him and a small squeak. Leisurely lifting his head to see an arrow in your chest.
“Y/N!” Running back to you, seeing you slowly blinking. “No, no, no!” Feeling hands grab his shoulders dragging him away from you.
When Darkness Meets Chapter 7
NCT, EXO, BTS, MONSTA X x Reader
Word count: 1.2k
Playlist: Here
Synopsis: After confronting her brothers she finally decides to take care of her wound. While doing so Monsta X continue around her residence unsuspected. At the same time the rest of NCT is trying to think of a considerable plan to tell the leaders.
Warnings: Blood, angst, slow burn, needles, gore
Knocking lightly on the door, hoping that he was home just this once. Waiting patiently for any sign of a response, she peered down at the gash. Swiping her fingers over it, seeing the crimson gather on them. Peering closer she noticed a white tinge in the middle. Slowly spreading the wound, finally seeing what it in fact was. Letting out a small gasp at the sight of her pelvis. Cussing under her breath, now pounding her fist against the door. Still not hearing any sort of response, she limped off. Watching as something peaked their head out of a doorway down the hall. Looking into the bathroom to see six men standing there with worry etched on their faces. “I don’t care you can stay here. Are any of you a doctor?”
Watching as the one with dark long hair, pushes forward another one.
“I am a surgeon if that counts.”
“Can you help with this?” Pulling the material off of her wound, seeing some of the men cringe at it.
“I can fix it. I just need alcohol, gauss, scissors, thread and a needle.”
“I have them, but they are in one of my member’s rooms who of course is not here.”
“I can open it.” The burly man paces by out into the corridor. “Which door?”
“Third door to the left.” Disappearing down the corridor, all that is heard is a loud thud and metal clanking against the floor. Stepping into the corridor, seeing him holding the other half of the doorknob with a shy smile on his face. Opening the door, she opened the drawer to the right of the bed. Bending slowly to pick up the supplies, until a hand lightly wrapped around her wrist. Lifting her head to see the surgeon with pleading eyes.
“I got it, just go wait in the bathroom please.”
Sighing they watched her walk out and into the bathroom. Picking up the supplies, feeling a looming presence behind him. Tilting his head to the side seeing Shownu.
“Don’t get attached.”
“I know Hyung, but what if she remembers?”
“You know she won’t. The false hope disappeared years ago. After what occurred with Wonho she left everything in her past. She left us. I get that you were her best friend but remember Hyungwon and Changkyun were in talks with her family for an arranged marriage. She was like a little sister to the rest of us. All of us were hurt when the accident transpired.”
“I guess you’re right. What am I supposed to do if she brings up anything while I’m fixing her.”
“Just listen to her. Don’t speak or make it suspicious.”
“Okay.”
Standing up fully he tread to the bathroom. Taking one step at a time into the room, watching her analyze the bloody skin. Placing his supplies down on the sink he faced her. “So if you don’t mind me asking, how did this occur?”
“Well let’s just say that I was at a meeting with an accomplice in a way, but-what are you doing?”
Lifting his head from inside the closet he stills. Opening and closing his mouth until he finds his words. “I-I’m trying to find towels.”
Underneath here.” Pointing to the little cupboard below the sink. Nodding he leans down and grabs two towels. Sprawling one out along the ground while keeping the other on the sink. “Can you please stand on this.” Stepping onto it slowly, wobbling slightly. Kneeling down he grabs the scissors. Cutting part of her shirt, hearing her gasp upon the cold metal touching her skin. “I know...keep telling me about what happened.” Watching her regulate her breathing, he poured alcohol on the other towel. Starting by lightly dabbing away the blood around the crevice until she started to speak.
“So as I was saying I went to a club for a meeting with...EXO. The one I am actually worried about. He knows to damn much for his own good, while the other. He is a little bitch, went ahead and stabbed me after I attacked him. The others don’t want to get involved but they can send their mutt-ow!”
Scowling down at the man on his knees, he sighed. “I know it hurts but getting angry will not help you any. The more riled up you get the more your blood is going to rush which makes my life harder. Breathe. Calm down before you pass out.”
Scoffing upon his comment, before finally heeding his words. Taking deep breaths as he continued cleaning. Deciding on staring at what his hands were doing, being much more relaxing than anything else. Holding the rag a few inches below the wound and reaching for the bottle. “Don’t watch that. Watch me.” Looking at the determined look take over his features as the cool liquid hits her skin. Thinking it was not that bad until the stinging started. Starting to pant from her nerves feeling like fire, she felt tears fall. Turning his head as the padding of shoes came into the confined room. Hyungwon placed his hands on her cheeks wiping away the stray tears. She leaned into the touch of the stranger feeling long lost comfort. Once the stinging calmed, she opened her blood shot eyes at the tall stranger. Scanning his face, she pushed his away. “I-I don’t know you, why did you do that?”
“Calm down remember. I’m almost done. I just need to sew it together and put gauss over it and I’m done. Hyungwon, leave. You’re overwhelming her.”
The lengthy man glanced around annoyed. Scoffing as he turned and left the bathroom. “Do...do I know him?”
“Hmm?” Watching her face morph through emotions always coming back to confused. “Oh him...no...no I don’t believe so. He is a naturally caring person when he thinks someone needs him.” Not having it in himself to look her in the eyes while saying everything. Feeling the cold touch of your fingers under his chin directing his head upward. Lifeless eyes staring into his until the dark hue took over.
“Are you going to tell me the truth or are you going to continue to lie to my face?”
It was the most sickeningly sweet voice he had ever heard. Grabbing the needle and thread from the sink trying to distract her of the conversation. About to pierce her skin as she spoke again. “Answer my question, Jooheon?”
“Listen I’m trying to concentrate, but if you think you know him then that comes down to you. I am not going to know everyone you know or know if you do know someone. If you believe you know him then take it up with him.” Sliding the needle through both sides until he had a zig-zag pattern across her hip. Pulling slightly tightening the wound until a small red line was the only thing visible. Taking a piece of gauss and holding it over the gash. Tearing off tiny pieces of medical tape to line the edges of the gauss. Tapping her hip as he slowly stood up. “You are done.” Picking up everything that he used before walking out of the room and into the bedroom.
Synopsis: The leaders take time for themselves as six unsuspecting visitors creep around Y/n house. Getting into the residence as her brothers also show up. Getting into an argument leads to information that was secret getting spilled.
The six men stopped upon hearing a garage door open. Looking at each silently, planning out what to do mentally. Pushing Jooheon forward, he scoffed.
“What am I supposed to do?”
“Figure something out.”
“There is a window right around the corner. I will push each of you up until I’m left. Then you will lift me up together.”
“Shownu you really believe that is going to work?”
“Yes, do you guys not trust me?”
“No, no we trust you.”
Walking over to the underneath of the window, Shownu lunged.
“Kihyun, you’re first.” Stepping onto his hand, he reached his arms upward as he got pushed up. Watching him pull himself into the window, Minhyuk stepped forward. All of them performing the same technique. Straightening out, Shownu raised his arms up. “Pull me up.” Reaching out of the window, I.M and Jooheon each grabbed one of his arms. Slowly pulling him up until the ledge. Grabbing the ledge and pulling himself the rest of the way into the window. Resting against the wall, they all looked around.
“What do we do now?”
“Don’t turn on the lights. Just look out from the doorway, if you see someone silently but quickly come back. Minhyuk, please go look.”
“Why me?”
“You’re the lookout, it’s your job. Not that you are necessarily good at it.”
“Hey, coming at me is not part of your job so don’t do it.” Minhyuk snared at Kihyun.
“Alright, no more fighting, just go look.”
Sighing, Minhyuk paced to the doorway, slowly peaking his head out only to immediately bring it back in. Turning back to the five putting his finger in front of his lips. Peaking his head out once more, holding up two fingers to the group. Stepping out from the doorway, to the group. Watching as Kihyun went to speak, he placed his hand over his mouth as his other hand went back to his lips. Vigorously shaking his head and the idea of speaking. Letting his hand fall from his mouth, he lifted three fingers to the group proceeding to point into the hallway.
“Three people are in the hallway. I don’t know who they are, but they seem like bodyguards.”
“So what do we do now?”
“Just wait it out.”
Leaving a blood trail through the house, she stopped. Seeing the last people she would want to see in front of her. Glaring at them she snarled. Seeing the three men straighten, she also fixed her posture.
“Why are you here?”
“Listen sis, we have to tell you something-”
“Whatever it is I don’t care. You lost the chance to talk me when you disappeared years ago. Who do you think you are to just come back into my life like this?”
“No this is extremely serious. Mom and Dad are planning an arranged-”
“How many time am I going to have to say it for you to understand? I don’t care. I don’t get along with them either. All of you just sent me away or left me alone when I needed you most.”
“No sis we really need to talk-”
“Stop calling me that! You three lost the privilege to call me that when you left fifteen years ago. Stop thinking I still want to be affiliated with you. Honestly, who do you think you are? Tell me, and I swear to god if you say my brothers...I will kill you with my bare hands.”
All of them stood there with clenched jaws. Three of them were just trying to help, while the other was ready to kill them if they so much as breathed around her. Truthfully, she had a right to be upset. The three people who she depended on, left her when she needed them. When her family pushed her to become the heir of everything. When her family started to mold her into the heartless person she is. Her mother taught her that love gets you killed. Her father taught her everything she would need to run strong and long in the mafia world. Being lied to from the age of three and up that she was not going to have anything to do with that life. If she would’ve known that her parents were grooming her, she would have left like her brothers did. At age thirteen, she was forced to kill a man. Running after to her brothers sobbing, still having the man’s blood on her hands. That was a normal occurrence until it stopped. She got so used to seeing the scene unfold that she grew fond of it. Starting the like the feeling of the warm liquid dripping off her hands and body. No longer wanting to clean off the mixture of iron and gunpower, instead starting to find comfort in it. Starting to smile every time she held a gun against someone’s head. It wasn’t until she was officially the new heir that she was feared. People that used to stay by her side, decided to leave. Forming her more and more into a heartless person. The final straw was when her brothers left. Fully becoming the Mafia Princess that she was groomed to be. Some would say she had psychopathic tendencies like her father, others said she was heartless like her mother. The rest, they were her favorite. Calling her a murderer every time they saw her, so she became one. One of the most feared women in the mafia world. She liked that power, the name, the fear of everything.
Feeling someone’s hand on her shoulder, she swung. Coming to the realization of what just happened, she looked toward the ground. Seeing Luhan on the ground holding his chest, gasping for air. Feeling the wicked smile climb onto her face, watching her brother trying to get air back into his lungs. Such a natural occurrence but seeing her brother doing so because he was hurt, felt heavenly. Glancing at the other two, her smile widened. Loving the fear etched onto their faces from watching their used to be innocent sister seem sadistic.
“You three can stay here, just watch yourself because next time won’t just be my fist hitting you in the chest.”
