It would be great to have a compilation of every hint that might indicate that If I Fell may be about Paul
Yess!
First of all, we have John saying this:
"And uh, it’s… semi-autobiographical, but not that conscious, you know. It’s really about – it’s not about Cyn, my first wife. If I fell in love with you, would you promise to be true… I used to like intros like they had on forties songs, you know, that have a long intro, and then the song would start. So that’s all mine. The harmony’s Paul’s. […] So that shows that I wrote sentimental love ballads – silly love songs, as you call them – way back when." (x)
Also, in 1988 John Lennon’s lyrics for ‘If I Fell’, written on the back of a Valentine’s Day card, were sold at an auction. (The card says "To Paul, with love" in very small letters)

"Autograph manuscript for "If I Fell", from "A Hard Days Night", aboard a U.S airline, c. late February, 1963. Written on the back of a valentine which had been given to Paul, and which was apparently the only suitable writing surface available at 30,000 feet." (x)
And we have Paul saying, in 2007, it was probably his favorite song by John. Which is interesting because he has never said that before or after this. (Although he did say in a 1964 interview view that this was his favorite song of the album). He usually says his favorites are Strawberry Fields Forever, Julia and Across the Universe
While he ate, McCartney talked about his life as a Beatle and his relationship with John Lennon. [...] He mentioned that ‘If I Fell’ was perhaps his favorite song by Lennon, and he expressed astonishment that the Beatles had ever come into existence. “What are the odds that those four guys would find each other?” he asked. (x)

And look at the way John looks at Paul while singing If I Fell during the film A Hard Day's Night
None of this is conclusive evidence though, but all together they make an intriguing case.

How come after interviews like these people still don't believe that Paul and John loved each other?

Brian Epstein: “Paul can be temperamental and moody and difficult to deal with. He is a great one for not wishing to hear about things and if he doesn’t want to know, he switches himself off, settles down in a chair, puts one booted foot across his knee, and pretends to read a newspaper, having made his face an impassive mask.”

Poor Paul 😭
Poor Paul is jealous of John and Yoko
"They're trying to be as near together as they can"
"Well, I told him I didn't like writing songs with him and Yoko"
-Were you writing together much more before she came around?
-Oh yeah, sure
"Yes. Cause I mean, we lived together when we wrote and played together. We were in the same hotel, up at the same time morning, doing this. All day."
"As long as you're this close all day, something grows. You know"
"We're alright on that, it's just Being together thing..."
"John didn't talk, you see. Yoko talked. For John."

John Lennon, interview w/ Peter McCabe and Robert Schonfeld. (September, 1971)
So much to think about:
John’s bitterness towards Paul is so obvious, he seems to make himself angry by suggesting that Paul has replaced him with Linda.
John viewing writing as a monogamous, almost romantic thing, saying that there is ‘no point’ in writing with Paul anymore because they both have their own separate relationships now.
The fact that the first comparison he thinks of when asked about getting back with Paul is being back in your mother’s womb when in the same interview he says that he viewed Yoko as a motherly figure when they first met…
Also, his certainty that he will never reconcile with Paul- HE WAS SO BITTER ABOUT THE BREAK UP
“So there’s no use contemplating it.” It seems like you’ve done A LOT of contemplating John……

I NEED Japanese Beatles magazines/posters. The colors, the camp, Paul’s anime girl eyes… the vibes are so immaculate.

"I want to hold your hand" about a person I was in love with at the time! PERSON Paul.... mmm interesting....
"I Want to Hold Your Hand' is not about Jane, but it was certainly written when I was with her. To tell you the truth, I think we were writing more to a general audience. I may have been drawing on my experience with a person I was in love with at the time, and sometimes it was very specific—but mostly we were writing to the world."

The Beatles during their Netherlands TV Appearance in 1964, singing "All My Loving". This video was beautifully restored by Carter, I pasted the original audio on it when I noticed John mouthing something to Paul mid performance. All I can hear John saying is "already, babe" as his answer to Paul's "hope that my dreams will come true".

How awkwardly Paul changes the subject "mm and drinks are over there mm" 🤦♀️
actually by far the funniest thing about the “we just had some privacy, didn’t we paul?” interview is george
pay attention to the way george 1) separates them by wedging himself in between them (resulting in a look of disappointment as john turns back to see that paul is no longer riding his ass) and 2) immediately puts a stop to john’s flirting by interrupting with “and the drinks are over there on the right…”
