To Each Their Own (chapter 4)
not beta read at all
Word count:N/A
Bianca doesn’t get a word in as she is slightly shoved. She also doesn’t care, partly because your sobbing form is right back on the floor. It’s in that moment that she sees the state you are in, not just with the tears, but with the bruising and dried blood on your person.
Her eyes narrow, and she knows that whoever did this to you will be long gone by the morning. Whoever didn’t stop this from happening will also face her wrath, after all being the queen of entire nation comes with some benefits.
“My darling,” Bianca starts, “there is no need to be on the ground. Come let me help you up.” The Queen reaches for your shoulder, but your flinching has her reeling back as if she was burned.
“They broke it, they broke it, they broke it,” is all you can muster to say. Bianca’s eyes are full of confusion until your arms give way to a small shark devoid of its fluff and torn from nose to tail. The older woman reaches for it much softer than before, and manages to get it from your hunched form.
She stands with the doll as you curl further in on yourself. Binaca had never felt so saddened by a mere doll, but it has her mind flashing with memories, horrible memories that she thought she had moved on from.
In a moment, the child laughing so carelessly is replaced by thunder as Bianca, stands above a grave holding a doll thats lost all its fluff and is torn from head to toe, shes sobbing, she thinks, but the rain is heavy on this day in particular.
The queens reality is warpped, her hand keeps holding a different doll each time she blinks, and she's blinking a lot. eventually she slams her eyes closed, takes one big breath in and finally settles on a flattened shark instead of a small human-looking doll.
Shaking off the memory, Binaca quickly moves ahead to her vanity, calling for a maid, she requessts for one who is nimble with a needle and thread. The request is short and firm, and as she settles the shark on the vanity, she turns back towards your weeping frame, that's now just staring up at the ceiling with an arm thrown over your head.
"She let them do this to me, your majesty." Bianca can hear the hoarseness of your voice,
"Little one, who in their right mind would harm someone as pure as you?" is all she asks, she wants to say "who is hers" but she refrains
"is it of importance? i fear there would be no consequences, someone like me never wins." There's an unmistakable defeat in your voice.
"You must forget my child, I make those decisions, and I will most definitely give the individuals who harmed you the proper consequences." The queen's voice is firm and has a hint of anger.
"I should have done this along time ago,' you began to say as you stand, "I think its best if I find new lodging my lady."
"What are you saying?" theres a soft panic in Biancas voice.
"I think its time i left the castle, so I'm saying i qu...."there's a knock at the door. it stops you from finishing the sentence because the voice behind it makes you freeze.
"You called for me my lady?" Melina says with a sweet, too sweet, tone.
Before the queen says anyting you do the unthinkable an rush towards Bianca and clamp your hand around her mouth while whispering, "dont' say anything please, or say you changed your mine just don't let her in here, please, please, please."
Unfortunately, the choice is taken from both of you when the door opens, and a snarky "guess that rotten queen isn't in here......"
The end of her sentence is trailed of as everyone makes eye contact with each other. Melina's eyes go wide as she begins to stutter out an apology, and you simply back away into the closest corner.
The queen, on the other hand, cracks her jaw, and her eyes lock in on Melina.
Oh goddess, she was in so much trouble...

To Each Their Own (Chapter 3)
Platonic yandere Queen and fem reader!
TW! Assault. Non-sexual nudity.
1.0k words, kinda beta read.... I didn't know how to end this one off so it kinda just abruptly ends.
Your eyes went wide at the question, and suddenly you push yourself up off the ground. The reaction surprises the queen, and she too stands up albeit more gracefully. You don’t say anything, but you shuffle more towards the double doors, in hopes that the queen will dismiss you.
“Dear,” the queen says softly, “please tell me what’s wrong, why are you acting this way?” she questions. You can’t help but back away, hoping that somehow the doors will be right behind you for a grand escape. You’re so nervous about talking to the queen about the head maid, that you don’t truly understand that this women in front of you is a powerful woman, that she has the ability to fire the head maid, not the other way around.
“Your majesty,” you stutter through the words, “I have no idea why you would assume something of that matter, the head maid is fair and treats all the staff the same.” The words fall fastly from your lips, and you hope the queen doesn’t notice. Of course she does though, seeing as she immediately responds by saying,
“Dear child, I caught Charleen in a blatant lie about you, she’s already done at the castle, I merely was checking in on you, however if you don’t want to talk about it then, I suppose you can go onto bed.” She’s gentle while talking to you almost like a mother would to a mere child. You nod, too scared to speak, too scared to acknowledge her words, and most importantly to scared about what may await you when you head back to the servant quarters.
Your mind is a mess as you walk along the hall, and you can’t help but pinch the skin above your collar bone, a nervous tick you’ve had since you were a child. Theres no one around, yet you can sense eyes on you. You jump suddenly because of a noise behind you, and when turning around you are met with a maid…
Melina, a maid who’s been nothing but hateful towards you, approaches with a sick smirk on her face. You can already sense that this isn’t going to be a nice encounter.
“I’ve been waiting along time for the go ahead from Charleen.” she says. “Been waiting patiently to have my way with you.”
You tense, and you turn slightly back around, hoping no one is behind you, but sadly you can see two more maids. Ave and Lisa they’re apart of Charleen’s posse.
“Don’t look at them, look at me.” Melina shouts out. You flinch, noticing that she is close, too close. You can feel the panic rising, can feel your heart trying to jump out of your chest, and not to mention you’re still a bit woozy from fainting earlier.
There’s a hand on your shoulder as soon as you blink, and just as fast, there is a fist to your gut. You groan out is obvious pain, but that seems to only spurr her on. Its not just the one punch, it’s a kick, its more hands, and more kicks, and now you’re on the ground shielding your head with your bruising arms.
Its feels like an eternity but eventually they stop, and you can here Melina talking, but no words make it to you, however you do fell something land on your arms. Of course she would spit on you after an awful beating. Your head is pounding, but you make out footsteps leaving your vicinity.
Unshielding yourself, you stare up at the hallway ceiling, struggling to breathe. You lay there for a moment, until you know they truly did leave. Slowly, you drag yourself over to the wall closets to you and manage to push yourself up into a sitting position. You inhale to the best of your ability when you feel the dullest pain by your ribs, however you can’t see what it may be because of your uniform.
The pain pushes you to make your way towards the communal showers, in hopes of washing and checking yourself before anyone else finds you. But your luck still seems to be as bad as it’s been all day, because a gasp is heard from behind you a little later in the showers, fearing for the worst you flinch and curl into yourself.
It’s not anyone bad though, in fact once you really here the voice, you realize… it’s one of the only people who seems to have your back… The head chef Tammy, one of the oldest staff members, and one of your only friends.
“Who did this to you?” she questions as she runs a hand over your ribs. You hiss in response, and she quickly retracts her hand.
“No one, I fell.” Is all that is mumbled from your busted lip. She scoffs, and doesn’t hesitate to touch more of your damaged skin while saying,
“This is not something you get from a fall, now tell me who did this right now young lady or so help me god.” She’s seething at this point, but you understand that the anger is not directed at you.
“Mrs. Tammy, its nothing,” you repeat the lie in your head after saying it, in hopes of making yourself believe it. “I’ve had a long day Mrs. Tammy, and all I want to do now is go to bed.” You brush past her, while finally tugging your shirt on. She follows, close behind you and when the two of you make it to the door of the servant quarters, she pushes her way through, starting a rant about when she finds out who was responsible, only for it to die on her lips as she sees the state of your sleeping area.
The whole thing is shredded, and the trunk at the end, the trunk that holds all your belongings is destroyed. You gasp and you know everyone is staring as you limp over to your stuff. There is only thing you truly care about that was in that chest and you hope the people who did this had some mercy. Your worst fear is confirmed as you slowly pick up the shredded stuffed shark that lies on the ground.
You tear up, and you hear Mrs. Tammy start shouting, but you can’t understand her through the tears, through the sobs. You also don’t hear her call for you as you run out of the servant quarters, dead shark in your hands, and some how make it all the way back the queens’ quarters. This time you don’t hesitate to knock, only stopping once the doors finally open.

To Each Their Own
Platonic yandere Queen and  fem reader!
1.4k most beta read the ending not so much.
The air was thick with tension as you stood in front of the fuming women. No, the fuming queen. While her eyebrows furrowed and her lips bent in a frown, you noticed the shear grip she had on the door, and how her already pale knuckles were nearly white.
“Well, are you deaf or what girl?” she asked with a clipped tone, “are you here to polish my jewels or are you planning on gawking at me for the rest of the night?”
Right the jewels always with the jewels you thought. You nodded slightly and the queen huffed at you while allowing you through. Her room was huge, bigger than the servant quarters, and turning a little you noticed more doors… how strange. You couldn’t look around for much longer as she started talking once more.
“Over on my vanity, girl.” she flicked her wrist off to the side of the room and went back to her desk where a stack of paper laid. You didn’t allow yourself anytime to pause and breathe, as you quickly rushed over to what looked to be the box or rather boxes full of jewels. Gods with how much was in each box you were sure to be here all night.
“Your majesty?” you asked as you turned to face her, “is there anything in particular you want polished first for tomorrow’s dinner?”
She looked at you as if you had a second head, and said, “I haven’t decided yet, so just do it all.” And with that she went back to working on the documents piled on her desk. You knew not to push, but you were exhausted, hungry, and most importantly on the verge of quitting. You knew not to push, and yet you did.
“Your majesty, it’s nearing nine o’clock, surely you see reason in just doing ones you have chosen for tomorrows dinner. If I attempt to do them all now, I’ll be here all night...”  the last of your fit was quieted by the harsh glare you received from the women.  She stood, walked around her desk, and simply glided towards you, how? You have no idea.
“Listen here girl!” she spat,” When I tell you to do something than you do it, if I want you to jump you ask how high, if I ask you to bring me a chunk of the moon you ask how big, and if I tell you to polish my jewelry you ask how fast, got it?” she was in your face now finger pointed and touching your nose.
She was stressing you out at this point, well technically you were stressed all day, but with the lack of food, the lack of proper sleep, and all the energy you used up today, having this women yell directly in your face, must have been the last straw, because you blinked slowly at her and suddenly the world had black little spots, and wait, why was she tilting, and why was she so far away now? oh well at least you’ll get some much need rest now.
Her majesty couldn’t believe it, some mere servant girl fainting in front of her. The urge to leave the dramatic girl lying there was tempting, but alas Bianca was not that cruel.
“Guards!” she called out, and shortly there after two bulky men in knight wear showed up. “Bring me a bowl of cool water and some warm food and notify the head maid that I must speak with her at once.”
If the men saw you on the floor, they simply didn’t acknowledge it, instead they responded to the queen with “Yes your highness, right away.”
The door shut behind the two, and once again it was just your slumped form and the queen alone. Bianca looked down at you and noticed how pale your complexion was, in fact she noticed how sickly you looked. Bianca couldn’t stop the memory from flashing through her head, but suddenly she was brought back to when her husband was pale and sickly.
Suddenly his warm skin tone became a pasty pale, and suddenly he could no longer breath, and suddenly his eye slipped closed, and suddenly his face disappeared, and suddenly it was you laying there. Gods the more she looked at you, the more she saw her husband in you. The way your hair looked, and from the brief encounter when she was yelling in your face, she noticed your eyes, her husband’s eyes looked just alike.
Where were those damn knights, she needs to make sure you were alright, because if another person died in this room, so close to the anniversary, she was going to burn the whole castle down, with everyone in it…. Suddenly there is a knock at the door.
“Your majesty, we have brought the water and food as requested, as well as the head maid.” The taller of the two guards’ states, while carrying a bowl with a damp cloth on the edge of it. She doesn’t thank the men, instead she sends them away with a flick of the wrist, and now just standing in the doorway is an irked head maid.
“Your majesty, I apologies for the way this girl is behaving, I’ll have her up and out of your room in no time, this is her last warning, honestly, how she thinks she can pull this type of thing off in front of you is beyond me.” She rambles on and on. Bianca, however, is having none of it as she moves you to lie in a better position on the ground.
“Charleen why is it that a servant is sick and working?” was all she replied with.
“Sick?” Charleen sounds appalled, “the girl is not sick, she pulls this stunt all the time to get out of work.” It’s a blatant lie; Bianca can tell by the way the head maid rushes through it.
“Surely you understand my hesitance to believe such a thing seeing as I am looking at a sickly servant right now.” The tone was meant to end this argument there, however the head maid was having none of it.
“Your majesty, you must understand I deal with the girl all day, she hardly does her chores, she is constantly stealing things, and she does this!” Charleen shouted the last part while waving her hand about.  Bianca could only think of one thing that would shut this whole conversation down.
“Then why would you allow such a poor worker into my room to do a very important, when I specifically asked for one of your best?” Bianca could tell by Charleen’s outraged gasps that she knew she was caught in a lie.
“One more thing Charleen,” Bianca wasn’t looking at the women as she spoke, but the words held just as much power,  “if I find out that this mere girl has fainted due to your lack of care, then I will personally write your obituary.” And with that Charleen knew she was dismissed.
Meanwhile through all the commotion, Bianca had been cooling you off with a damp cool towel. And thank goodness it worked, because your skin felt cooler, and your eyes were starting to flutter. With a muttered groan and pushing yourself up with your elbows, you locked eyes with a much gentler looking queen.
“Hi” you mumbled out. The queen just smiled softly and said, “Hello dear, are you alright? Here eat this soup.” She pushed a small yellow bowl into your hands.
“I’m not hungry-“ you started to say, but the women infront of you was having none of that, she simply grabbed the matching yellow spoon and scooped some broth onto it and pointed it towards your mouth.
“You must eat, what did I say about listening?” She murmured.
Not wanting to offend her any further, you took the spoonful into your mouth. The soup was probably the best thing you have ever had in your entire life. Bianca chuckled a little at the noises of contempt you were making and continued to feed you the soup. Shortly after all the soup was gone, the two of you just sat in silence until it was broken by one daunting question from the queen.
“Now dear, I want you to answer truthfully, understand?” You nodded. “Did you faint because the head maid works you too much?”

To Each Their Own
Platonic yandere Queen and  fem reader!
1.3k words kinda beta read
The morning light pushed past the thin veiled curtains, and into the servant quarters. With more than one groan coming from around the room, it seemed as if the day was about to begin. Of course, being a servant yourself meant waking up at sunrise after going to sleep at midnight, meaning that you were exhausted.
It’s been one whole month since you accepted this job at the castle, and yet for all the work you do, you see little benefit from it. Of course, the reason being that the queen is greedy, but you would never outright say that. And so, you pull the raggedy blanket off your raggedy sleep wear and gather your items to get yourself ready for the day ahead.
“Hey newbie,” The head maid yelled, “If you’ re late one more time, you wont have to worry about a write up, instead you’ll be looking for a new place to stay!”
With a huff and half dried hair, you step outside the communal shower. Reaching for where your towel originally laid, you find it missing. Already nervous about the head maid walking in, you just grab your clothing and quickly tug it all on. And let’s just say that the feeling of damp socks has plummeted your mood drastically.
Walking back out to the servant quarters you see the head maid standing there with one hand on her hip, and a clipboard dangling in the other. God, you hated that clipboard, no matter how quickly you got to the women holding it you always got the worst pick of tasks. And today would be no different.
The head maid sees you and says, “finally, you sure took your time newbie.” She brings the clip board up to her face and lowers her glasses just a smidge, “any who it looks like your tasks for today are, scrub the main entrance floors, dust the library, polish the lady’s jewelry, and fold the laundry.”
“Of course,” you mumble it’s the same three every day, the same three biggest tasks one could possible do, wait polish the lady’s jewelry? Since when has that been a task and why are you doing it?
“Excuse me ma’am,” you stutter out, “Why am I polishing the lady’s jewelry, surely there is someone more capable than I right?” you flinch slightly after you ask the question knowing what questioning the head maid gets you. She huffs, looks down at the clipboard and back you, and says, “surely you know not to steal anything.” And with that she turns, mumbles under her breath, and walks away.
“Right don’t steal anything.” You repeat back to no one. You wonder if you should do the tasks you know by heart first or if you should get the jewelry out of the way. And that’s when you realize something awful. You, yes you, have to go into the queen’s room, where the queen sleeps, and whatever else she does. To polish these jewels.
“Oh… no.”  You freeze in place and groan your head tilting so far back you smack the hallway wall. “ow” you say as you rub your head and continue to walk along the marble. The only way you’ll even consider going into the queen’s room is if she is simply out of the country. But alas she doesn’t leave the castle ever, not since the death of her husband. The only other option is to hope she has court today.
Making a quick detour from the kitchen, “guess I’m missing breakfast,” you say, you instead head down to the main foyer. Where you’re hoping the queens advisor hasn’t left yet and is still waiting to head to the courtroom. Instead, when you reach the foyer, chaos is amongst the knights and servants.
Walking up to a dear knight friend of yours you ask, “what’s wrong, what’s happened?”
“Oh, it’s just awful,” he says in a frantic voice, “The advisor quit, he just up and left and now the queen is in one awful mood. So awful in fact she cancelled court today.”
Your plan was just shattered right in front of you. Quickly you turn around and walk faster than normal to the supply closet because you have wasted too much time. Having the biggest tasks and a moody queen makes you itch with hatred and unease. You can’t keep working like this, but you need the money, and you don’t pay for rent so…
The day chugs along, and the library is once again dust free, and you’re halfway done with mopping and scrubbing the main entrance floor when the main door is pushed open by a knight and the advisor of all people runs frantically through your mop bucket and up the stairs. You kind of just stand there while the puddle gets bigger, and that itch is back.
Dinner has long passed, and the laundry is done but is the growl of your stomach truly worth it? You’re so tired that you completely forget about your new task, and you head towards the servant quarters in hopes for an early night. As you walk down the hall, you see the head maid, and she looks angry. Before the two of you are even in a talking distance she starts shouting.
“The queen would like to know why her jewelry isn’t polished yet, she specifically asked for them to be polished today because she has an important dinner tomorrow.” She’s closer now, but the loudness of her voice is the same.
Thinking on the spot you say, “Of course right away, I was actually looking for you because I am unsure where to get the supplies required for this task are?” the end of your sentence is high pitch, but you hope it calms her down.
“The incompetence, surely you would assume they would be with the jewelry?”  She stopped shouting but the annoyance is still there.
“Of course,” you bow your head slightly, “silly me my mind always wonders, Ill head to the queen’s room right this moment.” You say this, but you wait for the head maid to dismiss you learning from past mistakes.
“yes fine, and remember newbie don’t take anything, or do it’ll just help me get you out of this castle faster.” She smirks and shoulder checks you slightly.
Without thinking much you sprint down the hallway towards the queen’s room passing by several maids that snicker and whisper. You’re huffing by the time you reach the royal’s private wing of the castle. Now with hardly anyone around you slow pace and start panicking. You had hoped the queen would be in a better mood now that it’s later, but apparently your forgetfulness has cost you that luxury.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid.” You say while smacking your forehead slightly against the palm of your hand. You look up from the intricate marble of the floor to find yourself in front of the queen’s double doors, the double doors that lead right into the queen’s bedroom.  You know you should knock, you’ve already wasted so much time today, but you hesitate. You stand there for a while, a very long while.
Your about to back out and just quit on the spot and give the head maid a piece of your mind, when suddenly an angry voice can be heard coming from behind, and relatively close to the door. It scares you enough that the hand you have raised knocks the door ever so slightly, but the noise is loud, loud enough at least that the voice stops speaking.
“If you are not here to polish my jewels than leave my presence at once!” The last part of that sentence is heard much more clearly because the double doors were opened and now you’re standing face to face with one angry queen.
