The week had been absolutely stressful for Jiyeon. She had to do shoots after shoots, and tons of PR. She only had time to practice for the comeback and then sleep. She felt terrible for not being able to get at least 5 minutes alone with Mark. He didn’t blame her though. Every time they arrived back at their apartment, he would either relax her with a bath or tuck her into sleep.

The members finally were able to rest before their comeback and Mark was going to make the most of it. He had everything planned out. Except his wording. He was nervous as fuck.

The sun beamed through their curtains. Mark rubbed his eyes like a baby and looked next to him to see the person he adored most. Jiyeon had her back facing him, as she slept like an angel. Mark scooted closer to her and let his fingers softly trace over her back.

Jiyeon felt so relaxed at his touch. She flipped over and faced him, while he just smiled at her.

“Good morning gorgeous” Mark smiled.

Jiyeon blushed and hid her face into the fluffy pillow.

“I’m treating you today” He announced confidently.

“NO! You don’t have to do anything for me.”

“But I want to, and you deserve it” He leaned over and kissed her cheek. He pulled away for a split second to take in all of her features and hovered over her. He kissed her lips and made his way down to peck her neck. He had a habit of sleeping between the crook of her neck. He felt absolutely safe.

He had the entire day planned out, but he really was only nervous for one thing.

Mark and Jiyeon started by cleaning their apartment. They loved doing this whenever they weren’t busy cause they could help each other. They listened to their fave music and made sure everything was in check.

Jiyeon was alarmed to hear that Mark was taking her somewhere quiet in the middle of the night, but she didn’t question a thing.

Mark instinctively reached for her hand as they walked the streets of Seoul, looking for a quiet place to dine in.

Jiyeon hopped out of the car and waited for Mark. A big cheeky smile appeared on her face as she gazed at the beach before her.

“So this is what you wanted to do at-” She checked the time. “11:40?” 

Mark nodded and sneaked his arms around her waist. They took off their shoes and let the cool sand in between their toes. Jiyeon set down her bag on the sand and ran towards the shore. The water was freezing which made her run back to Mark.

How am I this lucky

The only thing he could focus on at this moment was her, and the question. Jiyeon ran back to Mark and grabbed her polaroid out of her bag. She took a few photos of him to savor the moment. Eventually, she sat down next to him and held the camera.

Mark kissed Jiyeon’s cheek as she snapped the photo.

“Do you mind taking one of me? Don’t you want one for your wallet?” She asked him.

“Of course I do” He replied. He took the camera from her and waited as she approached the shoreline. Her back was facing him as she put her hands in the air.

He didn’t even think. He just scrambled through his pockets to grab the tiny little box. He snapped the photo and it didn’t take too long before she was back at his side.

Jiyeon sat next to him and grabbed the developing picture and gave it a good shake. Mark carefully revealed the tiny box, as he nudged her. Her focus went to the box and she squealed.

“Mark!” She sat up straight.

“No no wait”

Mark giggled as he saw her freak out. He realized that she was the one. He wanted to wake up by her side every day, kiss her goodnight, and grow old with her.

Jiyeon noticed how hard he was shaking. She knew how shy he was and was so shocked that he had even thought of proposing.

“Jiyeon, will you marry me?” He asked

Jiyeon held her mouth as her eyes started to twinkle. 

“Yes Yes of course!” She nodded profusely. 

Mark took the ring out of the box and delicately placed it on her finger.

She took a second to admire the ring. Emotions took over her and she wrapped her arms around Mark so tightly, she thought she could suffocate him.

“I love you so much” She cried

“I already asked your mom” He chuckled.

“And she said yes?”

“She said she doesn’t want you marrying anyone else.” He smiled.

“And how come you did it so late?” Jiyeon asked.

“Well, I knew I was in love with you at 12:29am” 

Jiyeon cried harder than she already was. Mark’s embrace was the only thing keeping her from completely breaking down.

TNS and Ships

YoungJin+MinJun/JinMin

These two are shipped most often when their pranking their other members. MinJun is big on skinship and YoungJin just tends to put up with it. MinJun wants to hold hands? Fine, but YoungJins not gonna look happy about it. Oh, MinJun is hugging him? Better hug him back before he starts whining but also gotta look really done with Minjuns sh*t.

MinJun+Juliet/MJ

These two are shipped often because of their tom and Jerry like relationship. One moment MinJun and Juliet can be chasing and threatening each other and the next they’ll be taking a nap together or just being goofy in general. Fans ship them because they both tend to be very big on skin ship so it’s not unusual to see them leaning on each other, or seeing MinJun carry Juliet around on his back. They also make up the rap line and most of the dance line so fans go crazy if when they have a stage together, weather it’s dancing or rapping.

Juliet+Yuna/Juna

Juliet and Yuna are also a pair that are big on skin ship, so it’s not unusual to see them holding hands or hugging. Arguably the closests duo in TNS, Juliet and Yuna are basically attached at the hip, where there’s one there’s usually the other, often dancing backstage to other groups songs or annoying the other members during vlives. Fans ship them because of the almost constant skin ship and how often they’re seen going out to eat together.

Yuna+MinJun/YunJun

These two are shipped for the same reason that there both shipped with Juliet, although this is a less popular ship with the fans. Both big on skinship and often found napping together in the dorm with Juliet. There’s often ship wars between MJ shippers and YunJun shippers.

Jihyun+Juliet/JJ or Team maknae

Probably the most popular ships within the group. Often shipped as they’re both the visuals and the Maknaes. They’ve been close since trainee days. Jihyun isn’t big on public skinship so when it happens he often tries to hide it, like during award shows where he holds her hand but tries to hide it behind his back. Will try and hide Juliet behind his back at award shows when she cries after a win. Fans go crazy when this happens. Both sassy and savage and only adds fuel to the evil maknae revolution. Their photo shoots together are to die for.

Mina+YoungJin/ MinJin

Another popular ship with the fans as these members are ‘the parents’. Show occasional skinship,but not as much as the other ships. Are usually found shaking their heads in disappointment as their children cause chaos around them, or leaning on each other as they nap backstage. Often the first ones to hug each other when they win an award.

The Next Step; TNS

The Next Step, or TNS, are a co-ed Kpop group signed under Unplugged entertainment, a new entertainment company on the scene. The group consists of six members, 3 male and 3 female. Min YoungJin, Kim MinJun, Park Mina, Song Yuna, Choi Jihyun and Juliet Kim/Kim Hyunok. They debuted in 2016 with their hit song Strangers.

Stage Name; Juliet 

Korean Name; Kim Hyunok 

Position; Lead female rapper, vocals, female visual, lead female dancer

Nationality; Korean but was born and raised in England 

Birthday; May 15th 1997

Height; 5′4″

Family; Mom, Dad, Older brother, Younger half sister, 

Juliet is the youngest memeber of the group, and also the shortest. Her personality is very opposing with itself. While she’s sweet and playful and a little childlike she’s also incredibly determined and hardworking. Before becoming a trainee, she attended a dance studio in England, where she found her love for all kinds of dance,although it was majorly ballet. She can still dance en pointe but decided she wanted more than to be just a ballet dancer. Her parents divorced when she was young and her father remarried, giving her a younger half sister. She’s the social butterfly of the group and is often found making new idol friends at award shows and such. Has some weird obsession with Sakura and sailor moon. She trained for 2 and a half years before debut.

Her favourite colour is pink and her favourite food is goldfish shaped bread. She feels she’s really close with everyone, although she’s seen with MinJun and Yuna often. Often shipped with Jihyun because they’re the visuals of the group. Is this balance between the groups personalities and would defend her memebers till her last breath.

Choi Jihyun

Stage Name; Jihyun 

Position; Lead male vocals, male visual, 

Nationality; Korean 

Birthday; 29th April 1997

Height; 5′10″

Family; Mom, Older brother

Jihyun is the youngest Male in the group, although he tends to act like the oldest. He grew up with his Mom and older brother as they lost his father when he was very young. He writes a lot of TNS’ songs himself and often brings out his own music on soundcloud, usually with Mina. He’s also not a great dancer but his vocals make up for that. Trained for 2 and a half years and was signed at the same time as Juliet. Doesn’t tend to join in the prank wars. He’s rather sassy and savage at times, which makes sense when his role model is Got7′s Park Jinyoung. Is banned from cooking in the dorms after almost setting an omelette on fire. When he’s not composing he’s usually playing video games in his spare time. Is fluent in English and it’s his biggest secret on how he learned.

His favourite colour is red and he doesn’t have a favourite food, he basically eats anything. Close with Juliet as they were signed at the same time, and Mina as their personalities are very similar. Sometimes can clash with Yuna and MinJun because of the contrasting personalities but often gets sorted the same day and it’s never serious.

Nationality; Korean but born and raised in SAN Francisco 

Birthday; March 23rd 1996

Height; 5′6″/168cm

Family; Mom, Dad, Two older sisters. 

Yuna is the best cook in the dorms and loves baking and cooking healthy. She trained for 3 years before debuting. Had to learn Korean during her trainee days as she only spoke English when in the states. MinJun and YoungJin helped Yuna and Juliet learn Korean. Yuna is very bright and bubbly, and often considered TNS’s sunshine. She was a cheerleader when she went to high school in America. She’s very sweet and trusting and instantly gets along with anyone she meets. She’s really good at hip hop dancing, and is considered a triple threat as she sings,dances and acts. Has also been in a few k dramas but doesn’t mind dying her hair. 

Her favourite colour is Lavender and her favourite food is strawberry cream cake. If free food is offered than Yuna is the first one to accept. Says Juliet is her best friend and she feels close to MinJun too as all three were basically joined at the hip Turing their trainee days. Says she feels so lucky to have debuted with people she considers her best friends and family.

Park Mina

Stage Name; Mina

Position; Vocals, G troupe leader.

Nationality; Korean 

Birthday; 11th February 1995

Height;5’5”

Family; Mom, Dad, Older sister. 

Mina is the Mom member of the group and considers all the memebers her babies. Is very mature and her vocals are no joke. Her older sister is a well known dancer, unfortunately Mina isn’t as well talented in dancing but more than makes up for it in vocals. Hardworking and caring as hell. Doesn’t dye her hair too often as in between promoting she’s often acting in K Dramas. Is closest to Jihyun because they have very similar personalities. Was one of the first to be signed with Unplugged entertainment along with YoungJin. Was hesitant about being in a co-ed group but now wouldn’t change it for the world. Is the memeber to make sure the others aren’t over working themselves, along with YoungJin, and they often get shipped together as the parents of the group. Is fluent in Japanese and knows some basic English. 

Her favourite food is cheese burgers and her favourite colour is peach. Says she can’t choose who she feels closests too and says it’s like asking a mother to choose her favourite child. Gets sad when another memeber becomes ill or hurts themselves from over working. Is close to Rosè from BlackPink.

Kim MinJun

Stage Name: MinJun

Position; Lead mal rapper, lead male dancer

Nationality; Korean, but lived in LA since he was 5

Birthday; 19th January 1994

Height; 5′10″/179.04cm

Family; Mom and Dad

Kim MinJun is the oldest of the group, but often acts like the youngest. He is an only child and grew up in LA with his Mom and Dad. He’s fluent in Korean and English as he had to speak both growing up. He trained for about 3 and a half years and originally didn’t get along with YoungJin because YoungJin found him to be too childish, they had many fights as trainees until Mina told them to sort it out. Since then they could be considered one of the closest duos in TNS. He is very laidback, playful and child like for his age and is usually the one to start the prank wars in the dorm , but when it comes to dancing he’s almost a completely different person. He’d been dancing since he was young and was scouted at a dance competition. He is one of the designated cooks in the dorms.

MinJuns favourite food is pizza and his favourite colour is blue/grey.  Prides himself on how persuasive he can be and is often the one to get the other memebers in trouble with his schemes. Says he feels closest to Yuna and Juliet as they all came from outside of Korea. Considered part of the fan made beagle line with Yuna and Juliet. Is close with Hoseok of BTS

Min YoungJin

Stage Name; YJ, but usually goes by just YoungJin

Position; Leader, Vocals

Nationality; Korean,

Birthday; May 4th 1994

Family; Mom, Dad, Older sister and Younger Sister

Min YoungJin is the leader of TNS, and one of the first trainees to be signed to Unplugged Entertainment.He trained for around 4 years. He takes his role as leader seriously, but that doesn’t stop him from joking around with his members. He’s a very playful person, but can get very protective of his members. Became fluent in English during his trainee days, with the help of MinJun, Yuna and Juliet. He is very hard working and knew he wanted a career in music from a very young age, his family were very supportive of him from the start. 

His favourite colour is forest green and his favourite food is kimchi fried rice, but only when it’s made by his Mom. YoungJin has been known to prank his members from time to time with MinJun, who most likely talked him into it. Says he feels the most protective of Juliet as she’s the Maknae and she reminds him of his baby sister. He’s close to Got7s Jaebum and Jackson.
