i have been thinking a bit about how i relate myself to certain thoughts i've had (mostly in the past).

like, when i was 16 i got back into school after quarentine, and because of various thing my suicidal thoughts became more common, being mostly related to stuff like, my worth, and my impact on other people, that hit really well with how i started to realise how much my education and stuff like that costed.

but i stayed with those thoughts doing nothing about them, apart from talking them a bit with my school's psychologist, but that didn't get anywhere lmao

but with time, and with me getting closer to a group of friends at that year, the suicidal thoughts became more of, self harm.

now, i'd been sh myself for some time by then, but now remembering that change makes me ask some questions

like, what is the idea behind sh?

for me, it as always a thought of "i deserve pain and to suffer, and life doesn't give me enough of that, so i should give it to myself"

but i have no idea if that's the thought process with everyone, but i doubt it, considering most people i've heard sh, also have a shit ton of suffering in their lifes.

so is the idea just, some kind of call for help?

because like, when i was sh me, or having my suicidal thoughts, i always hoped a friend or family member noticed and talked to me, as if that could solve everything.

so is it that? a call for help disguised as a necessity to feel like you are suffering enough? is it that some people feel safety in pain because of how their lifes went? is it that some people have such depressing lifes, that feeling pain is the only source of, just, feeling, that they have?

i know it's a hard topic to talk about but i also find it so interesting

y know, i kinda want a place to vent, but at the same time just make some ideas and thoughts public, specifically regarding sh and stuff like that, but idk if this could be the correct place, or if there even is a correct place
