my radical belief is that the disabled and the elderly should be paid at least the average cost of living, regardless of the life they lived. regardless if they ever worked or what work they did or if they were responsible with their choices in life or not
#this for everyone#why is it so radical to think people shpuld be allowed to enjoy the one life we all have

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.
Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.
So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.
Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

I gatherd bouquet of invasive flowers (and added some non invasive ones). Night time has been the only time when I feel like I can do anything so my days have been full of bed rotting (it's been too warm for me and my sleep schedule is in shambles). So night time walks and mild flower "extermination" have been a blessing.
Btw the invasive plant is Lupinus polyphyllus, the purple flower on the picture. It's a native to western North America (where I do not live). Gathering these bouquets was encouraged by a local nature conservation organization. According to them easiest way to prevent it from spreading is to not let it produce seeds. And that can be prevented by cutting/picking the flowers before that. (If I remember right they organized/are going to organize a trip where you could learn about local plantlife and gather a bouquet. I couldn't go so I forgot the time :P)

I realized
June had never been just a month
music... never just a tremble on my lips
warmth was never merely a blanket.

Concept: Depressing dystopian factory where everything is gray and samey and the workers are called by their employee numbers by an ominous deep voice.
But it's a really great place to work with high salaries, excellent benefits, and a flexible working schedule with plenty of paid leave. They just like the dystopian aesthetic.

you deserve more than to put up with pain. you deserve more than just “getting used to it”. I hope your pain eases soon and that you can find a way to make yourself feel a bit better, to make your flare ups decrease. please don’t be so hard on yourself when you are already struggling with a lot of pain, and i was talking about physical pain since I’ve been having a flare up but this goes to anyone struggling, be it with physical, emotional or psychological pain. you deserve better than to just bottle it up. you deserve the help you need and I hope you find it soon.
