Madagascar OC - Irene the harpy eagle

Hey everyone!

I've been wanting to show you my OC from Madagascar for so long but was too shy... I absolutely adore this franchise—you have no idea how much!!!

So, meet my birdie—her name is Irene, and she's a South American harpy eagle!! I wanted to create an article about her on Wiki Fandom, but I'm not really good at that stuff, so I decided to tell you all about her here instead :D

If you're curious, here's a little bit about her personality (very briefly)

Irene has a sharp mind and always knows how to approach problems from different angles. She's well-versed in the humanities and can read, unlike many other animals. She loves literature, especially classic Russian works. She's also confident and, despite growing up in the tropical jungle, she’s been taught good manners

Irene can often come across as blunt and overly critical when it comes to pointing out others' flaws, which makes her a challenging team player. That's why she doesn't interact with other creatures as frequently. She quickly assesses situations and formulates plans based on logic and rationality. However, her emotional side sometimes gets in the way of staying objective

🎉 Happy birthday to me!!

Can you believe it? Today is my 18th birthday!!! Time has flown by so fast, but here I am—18 years old already... Aaahhhh, it's crazy

I really wanted to do something big for this special day, like an animation or a full art piece, but unfortunately, schoolwork took up all of my time. So instead, here's just a little sketch I managed to squeeze in

You might not know this, but I absolutely adore penguins – they are my favorite animal. I'm ready to shout about my love for penguins to everyone

Forgotten River – Art Trade 🏞️

This art was created as a trade with an incredibly talented artist. She’s done so much for me that I wanted to give it my all when working on this piece 🫧 And honestly, I absolutely love the result, even though I have to admit I hated it right after finishing it. It took some time for me to fall in love with it!

I wanted to show you this pony I drew for an art trade with someone on DeviantArt. For some reason, I'm not really feeling the colors here.. They just don't seem right to me, even though I can't quite put my finger on why. It's weird because whenever I use that monochrome-to-colors technique, something always feels off about the colors in my work. But hey, I keep trying anyway, hoping that one day it'll all come together perfectly

Anyway, despite everything, I actually like how its wings turned out—even though I kinda winged it (that was supposed to be a pun)

REDRAW - 2024/2015

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share with you a redraw of an old art piece that I drew back in 2015 using MS Paint (lol, I didn't know there were other drawing programs at the time!). The redraw isn't exactly new either—it was done sometime in late autumn 2024 if I'm not mistaken.

If anyone's interested, I've also attached a timelapse video of the creation process from 2024. It's not entirely complete—some parts are missing because Ibis Paint X crashed about seven times while I was working on this, and frankly, I just didn't have the energy or patience to restore hours' worth of progress each time 😭🙏
