reading a fucking book. i beg of you.

in a time of knowledge suppression is it your duty to arm yourself with knowledge.

read about americas occupations in the middle east.

read about 9/11 from outside of america and see how they inflicted senseless harm and violence to countless amounts of people and have been suppressing your rights for the past 2 fucking decades.

read about any of the countless wars from the past 30 years. especially from a civilian's. and the victims and survivors' perspective. listen to the horror stories and do not plug your fucking ears as to what your country is doing.

and read about fucking gaza and palestine and keep up with what is happening no matter how "sad" or "uncountable" you might get.

dont look away from this.

you dont have the right to be comfortable during countless active genocides.

if you're knowledgeable, you're powerful, and our current state doesnt fucking want that.

you have the power to change things if you open your eyes and scream to the world.

wake the fuck up.

I hate it when I recommend someone a book or concept that literally changed my life and the first thing they do, is just post about it. I am not talking about anime/music/films. I am talking about literature that I base my life's philosophy on. And the best you can think of with that is to just post it on your story.

I rarely ever share these things. When I do, it's always with people I am quite close to and who I feel need some guidance in that particular area of life. I would not find it as hurtful if they had at least gone through it first. It feels incredibly disrespectful to just use it a prop and frankly pretentious to come across as someone well read about topics you had no idea about 10 mins ago.

I know it's my problem. I am well aware that I have no authority over anyone. But these instances serve as yet another reminder of how fake social media is and how even those closest to me, people who I once considered knowledgeable in areas that interest me as well, might not be all that they say they are. It's not a simple thing as one lies about having watched a particular movie or book. It goes deeper than that, their values might not be what they say and that's a scary thing for me.

ik we all say hannibal is one of the most shows ever but quite literally i think it stands out from everything else. what other show has this level of intense homoeroticism AND so much fake blood that the floor of the set started rotting. im not fortunes fool im yours you and i begun to blur i let you see me i let you know me i gave you a rare gift and you didnt want it i imagine killing you with my bare hands
