Cinderella (1950) concept art by Mary Blair
#cinderella#art#mary blair#illustratie#i think this is a movie where the style of this concept art does still shine through in the end product#especially everything in the castle and leading up to it

there's a fine line between being wary of manipulation and becoming completely paranoid because you get very close to the realisation that pretty much all human interaction involves doing things we hope will lead to a result we like

this analysis has everything I was looking for, especially part III
it ís that deep!
#I don’t particularly care for disney but i can still appreciate the good things#also yes reddit and disney *cringe* or whatever#teksten#snow white and the seven dwarfs#stories#just writing it down here in case that reddit post gets deleted: snow white plays the role of everywoman for the dwarves as the#daughter who the dwarves must protect the mother who disciplines and cares for the dwarves and the housewife who cleans for them and kisses#them goodbye before they go to work#the dwarves have crushes on her but are happy for her when she tells them of her love for the prince#These dynamics are simply that; dynamics. and they’re not representative of the actual relationship statuses between the characters.#Everyone is simply fulfilling the role that they feel is best suited to them.

Hi! I was browsing your art tag and I love your style. Do you have a website or accounts other than Tumblr where I can find your work?
Hey! first of all thank you so much!! that seriously means a lot to me :-)
secondly I do have an Instagram for my drawings (it’s alina.avif), but I very rarely post on there because Instagram is kind of off-putting to me for some reason
(I would make an art-only Tumblr *if* I consistently made enough drawings that I'd consider good enough to post)
