I will say this, Jack has one of the most F***ed up back stories in RoR (aside from Beelzebub).

Imagine being able to see the emotions of those around you, imagine thinking your mother actually loved you only to find out she kept you around just to be connected to a man who had no interest in her. Everything you know is a lie and the world spits on your existence. It’s enough to break a child.

Jack goes mad and thus we have the killer before you. Obsessed with the Color of fear, the only thing beautiful and True that he has seen. And despite the monster he is you can’t help but route for him because he is clever and tricky. And Hercules shows him what true love looks like and shifts everything.

(The spin off manga sort of ruins him so I say ignore it)
