Hey guys! Hopping on here to wish all trans people a happy trans day of visibility!

I am trans, and these last months have been a challenge! I fear for my trans friends in the US and I fear for my LGBTQI+ family too, having to manage so much stress with my academic and social life has been particularly exhausting. I’m just fighting to get through the week so that I can rest at least a couple hours in the weekends.

Being a minor has not helped with transitioning, as medically I cannot start taking testosterone nor changing my legal name and gender. Even if this is very upsetting I am starting to feel happy about myself, how I look, how I present myself and my personal style. I can finally start seeing myself look like me after all these years of having to hide who I really am. I’m starting to not hate my body when I spent so much time wanting to get rid of it and to love how my smile looks even if my teeth are a bit yellow.

Life always brings you up and down without any warning but miss destiny has plans for us. She shows us time and time again that even if this week has been really overwhelming it’s okay, because it’s life, because it’s just the way the world works. And that maybe you can get a little treat on the weekend and sleep all day because you deserve it.

Being you is never easy, but life isn’t either. And I prefer living a happy life being my true self that not living at all.

I send lots of love to everyone out there, to my fellow trans siblings, to the LGBTQI+ community, to everyone having a hard time rn and once again, thank you for being you.
