Can we just talk about Miss Piggy in ‘The Great Muppet Caper’?
I mean, my god! Look at these outfits! Before I even realized what ‘fashion’ was I knew Miss Piggy had it in bounds! Even as a little girl I knew Miss Piggy was a great character to look up to! She is vibrant, sassy, and more than capable of standing up for herself, and she is so comfortable in her skin.
One of the most influential things in my life was this Muppet right here. In a time where body image was considered everything, Miss Piggy taught me that I could be absolutely fabulous, classy, and a strong woman without worrying about how others perceived my body.
Thank you Jim Henson for giving me and other girls such a great character to look up to!
