im definitely doing history and classics but I can't choose between French and English lit

pros of French - it's better for uni applications, better for international relations which I want to do at uni, I'm quite good at French, I like reading so the books bit will be fun, it's interesting to learn about frnech culture and society

cons of French- I hate speaking with a burning passion and it's a big part of the a level, I will probably struggle more with it and have to work a lot harder at it

pros of English- I love the teacher I'd have, I love reading, I love writing essays and doing analysis, I'd really enjoy it, loads of friends in the class, I'm good at it, I enjoy revising it, love the texts they do at a level, I could probably do better in English with less work and obviously a better grade is good for university

cons of English- my teacher this year (at the school I'm currently at but I'll be moving schools) basically bullied me and made me hate the subject and I had to get a tutor bc she destroyed my confidence, I don't really like the exams for English lit
