if they had a stable fast food chain (like mcdonald's or burger king) in arcane odyssey what would quincy get

quincy would try mcdonald's only to like the fries and sweet tea and he'd also like wherever he can get his hands on coffee--complains about it being shitty occasionally but still drinks it i think quincy would have a sweet tooth for donuts he just seems like that kind of guy, but like think of the most decrepit donuts from like a rundown krispy kreme or something

I’ve never seen his eyebrows furrow into a sickening scowl, nor have I ever witnessed him express much anger aside from the occasional flash of annoyance. The man named Virgil has barely any enemies and sails life smoother than any sailor. I believe those who despise or show hostility towards him find it difficult to feel anything but jealous of him and his demeanor. After all, it seems he is the most agreeable man that’s ever lived considering how well-liked he is amongst peers and strangers, and I would agree. It’s foolish to state this so plainly and believe so earnestly, but I find it difficult to find any flaw with him at all; if there even is one to name. He simply is the way he is, and the way he is is what most would envision to be the ideal attitude and personality to walk amongst fellow men."

i want to develop them as a crew more and establish their dynamics also im not done designing all of them cause there's meant to be 12 crew members in total not including the captain (v)

auggh quincy is such an interesting oc to me i tend to focus more on his cynicism and poor attitude towards people, but i never give enough attention to the fact that he is meant to be well-liked by most people in public spaces quincy's struggle with connecting with other people is hinged on the fact that they are unable to be seen as themselves by the people around them and it always boils down to superficial descriptors and dishonest personas that fail to reflect their actual character in extremes, they are often idealized and dehumanized as a result of their inability to form honest and healthy connections... a good example of this is claude and emil who both place quincy on a pedestal in some way, but also despise him at the same time because they're so frustrated at the fact the pedestal distances quincy from them (me when i make life harder for myself on purpose)

Brahms and quincy are really similar in a lot of ways too which is something that has always piqued my interest in spite of the two never meeting each other... but i suppose that's to be expected when they're derived from the same writer they're opposites in the way they present themselves and the way people treat them, but are identical in their yearning for love and connection and general assholery LMAO

yeah that sounds like it'd fit the guy who's been obsessed with documenting every sort of person, event, and mortal-born morsel of history

making quincy a writer and connecting them even further with art through his interactions with wyatt was a good choice cause what is art if not the most sincere representation of the human experience

ive been wondering how i should design post-curse varchiel i cant exactly have him be bare naked all the time as i feel like it wouldn't convey the underlying sense of delusional malice under a "pure" exterior i designed him to be as angelic and fantastical (think of a great hero in myth or fairytale) knight as a human and hope convey him fully embracing what's "beyond" humanity in his post-curse form and attire but i still want to add some layers of uncanniness to pick apart at post-curse and imo having him just be bare and naked makes him feel too pure and divine the point of varchiel's design and character is that he is no such thing he is the false christ that dances in your mind with self-interest in mind disguised by a delusional veil of heroism. I spoke about him with a good buddy of mine before i had fully figured him out and i hope to make him a character who denies the reality that he only acts out of his own desires, not with genuine care for others as he wants to delude himself into believing. He believes himself to be equal to or above god but is the lucifer that has been cast down to the depths of the sea to rot all who have worshipped him (his crewmates on the lucidious ship) are dead or tainted by the Dark Sea as they were guided to hell by their beloved captain and i want to convey the beauty and charms that the fallen angel and antichrist carried with them in his mannerisms and design its not really creative, yes, but i have fun indulging myself

i want to develop marthe and quincy's relationship more they seem like they would be a good bickering pair... the cat the parent didnt want but ended up wanting

maybe one of these days ill write a more detailed explanation of the sort of relationship i want them to have many of my ocs' dynamics and archetypes arent anything special and are pretty generic in terms of the molds they fall into so i hope it wont be too difficult to explain
