Absolutely brilliant!
If you’re having trouble developing a character for one of your stories, here’s an idea that may help you. Create a Pinterest board for that character and pin the following things:
Things they would like
Food they would eat
Clothes they would wear
Places they like to go
Places they dream of going
Elements of their culture
Elements of their religion (if they have one)
Where they live
Color palettes that fit them
Their aesthetic
Quotes that relate to them
Seeing all of these things together in the same board may help you visualize the character more.

Forgotten
His heart was like a forgotten room,
Dark and dusty within.
Full of things he stored away
But no one asked of him.
He stored up knowledge, wisdom and hope
And ideas that he never did tell
But there wasn't a soul who cared enough
To wonder what was inside his shell.
Then one lovely day there was one lovely girl
Who discovered the dusty old door.
She opened it up and turned on the lights...
He wasn't alone anymore.
She searched through the trinkets and things that he had
And discovered the value of him.
He had silver and diamonds and rubies galore
It had all just been hidden within.
He joined her in the dimly lit room
And helped her organize.
And slowly through the mess of time
He fell in love with her eyes.
She told him how she loved his smile.
He said the same to her.
She held his hand and touched his face...
He knew he'd found his forever.

Curtain
They wondered how she did it,
How she always shined so bright.
But what they didn't know
Was that she just reflected light.
Over her soul she drew a curtain,
Colorful and sweet.
But on the inside of her heart,
She was suffocating underneath.
One day a man with blue eyes came
And asked "why do you hide?"
She peeked from out her curtain and said
"Because it's dark outside".
He saw a tiny light within her
Slowly being snuffed,
And knew she hid because she thought
She'd never be enough.
He gently pulled her curtain back
A few tugs at a time
And slowly then, he fell in love
With the fire in her eyes.
She took the hand he offered her
And let him pull her free
Of all the weight from the black curtain
And wrongs that she believed.
He taught her how to laugh again,
He taught her how to cry.
At last he asked her to be his love...
"Forever," she replied.

“OK, but consider: I’m really, really good at violence.”
