🌻 10 moments that made me love Wen Junhui even more 🌻
Happy 24th Birthday, Junnie~! Another year, another wonderful year with you existing. I can’t ever put to words how wonderful it is to see you grow as a performer and a person. But please never stop trying to improve, never stop being yourself, and never stop pursuing your dreams. You’re going to shine brighter each passing day. Continue being our awkward dorky boy, and continue making us laugh and smile every time we see you. Happy Birthday Moonjunnie~ Outshine the brightest star! ♡
In Korean interviews with Seventeen, Jun is known for being fairly quiet - though antsy - with occasional outbursts of weirdness. But in the last year, we got to see Wen Junhui on his own in Chinese interviews promoting CYZJ, Yo! Bang and his single “Can You Sit By My Side”, and that was a whole different story. They’re all well worth watching.

First a quick one from the start of CYZJ. His wish for a good edit was mostly fulfilled.

For Yo! Bang: talking about MCing, going on vacation and food and reading stuff in different voices.

Promoting the single by having multiple conversations with himself, doing the finger wave thing and knocking out Cantonese tongue twisters.

A few days later, with more food, more weird finger things and more drawing; as well as talking about meeting people, failing at non-Cantonese tongue twisters and doing a lot of meowing.

And this one goes back to Yo! Bang but it’s the most extensive interview, basically a radio chat clocking in at about 20 minutes. A lot of stuff covered here and there’s even a live phone call from a Carat (which is not cringey).
Let’s hope for more Wen Junhui interviews this year. Btw, two great sources for Jun content are Eight Moon Subs and Lego House.
Here are some interesting points shared during the Look workshop:
there’s another version for “Getting Closer” but the company told them not to reveal it
the choreography for “THANKS” was created in 4 days
“THANKS” was orginally not going to be put in the album, but when Hyunho (another choreographer) was at the PC bang gaming, Soonyoung went to him and aegyoed saying “hyunggggg pleaseeeeeee” and that’s how it ended up in the album
the choreography for “Purple rose” is a VERY difficult
“Purple rose” wasn’t originally meant to be so sexy, but knowing that it was going to be for Jeonghan, they made is sexier.
“BRING IT” was choreographed by Hyunho together with Soonyoung
“Just Do It” and “ROCKET” were choreographed by Dabin
“Good to Me” was choreographed by Choi Young Jun
“HOME” was choreographed by Choi Young Jun and Look team
since there’s 13 of them (aka so many), the choreography is corrected all the way up till the filming of the music video
